How much do you wake yourself up for a WBTB

      hello all.

iv been haveing a bit of trouble with WBTB / WILD. how much do you wake up?

because the other night i stayed up for about 15 mins. i didnt feel tired at all, so gave up the WILD after 15 mins of just lying there.

then last night, i used the saltcube timer to just beep 9 times at 4:30, so i wouldnt have to move to turn it off. this morning i woke up vaugly remembering hearing a beep in the night.

-how long do you stay up (if at all)?

-how sleepy are you when you go back to bed?

      thanks for any advice chaps

There is a large range of how long individuals stay awake. Some members only stay up for a few minutes, some just long enough to go to the bathroom and get a drink, other stay up for over an hour.
      It depends on the person.

I suggest you test it out. Getting up five minutes longer each night.
      Bollocks.

thats a good question! i agree with the post above it depends on the person

I am usually sleepy when i wake up at 5am so I have to do some activity that will awaken me a bit so i dont immediatly fall asleep when i lay down. I stay up for about 20 mins and listen to music and sometimes play a few games. so yea like the above post said, try out different stuff and record it in your dream journal

      good lucky

I just stand up, walk over to my dresser, do a reality check then go right back to sleep.

      (try it)

remain conscious for a wbtb wild.....otherwise it would be a wbtb dild or deild.

As for me I'll stay up long enough to write in my journal and play a few rounds of whatever is in my video game system at the moment. So sometimes 30 mins....sometimes an hour. Sometimes I'll just stay up as long as i can until I get tired again. All of it changes because I'm such a sporadic sleeper.

If I've gotten 8 hours or so of sleep....I'll just go to bed in the middle of the day...way later on and try one. But if I've abruptly waken up after 5 or less...I'll try it within the next hour. If you're the type of sleeper who really scheduled, you should try staying up for about 10-20 minutes....it'll give you a minute to get that pee out of your system, and write what you dreamed about. Because theres a really high chance you'll forget what you dreamt about after the wild attempt....especially if it's successful.

Oh and another thing, I've been successful on quick and delayed wake back to bed wilds. It just depends....and make sure you have a lot of confidence. To me, it's the most important factor above all else. Elimate doubt, and just do it.

I have trouble waking up at all. *Alarm buzzes, slams button, groans and drifts back to sleep*
