      A Dry Spell for Lucids

I'm currently going through what I'm going to call a Lucid dream Dry spell. It's been over a month since the last time I had a lucid and even though I'm still relatively new to this I think I should have had another by now.

I do realize that to some, a 1 month dryspell is nothing but I'm still desperate for a lucid dream. So if you overcame a dry spell, did you notice anything that you might have done to do it?

I can come out of a dry spell by changing my sleep pattern somewhat. I used to wake up halfway through the night at about 3 a.m. to try to take advantage of a WBTB. That worked for quite a while, but for about the last 2 months of it I had no lucids and was lucky to recall about 2 dreams per week. Once I adopted a contiguous sleep cycle after school got out, my recall shot up to about 9 dreams/week and had a lucid on about the 2nd or 3rd day.

Other things I've tried: lucid soundtracks, b-vitamin supplements, ginkgo, green tea, all with lesser amounts of success than a sleep schedule change.

the weird thing is, it all went down hill after i got out of school and had much less sleep.
I think my body just has to get used to more sleep?

It seems like most people are plagued with dry spells. I am interested to also know what other people think about this.

I've been dry for about a year!

Maybe I think of it too much...

      Just don't think about it!

Redoubling my efforts. Start all over again. First, come up with a list of goals to keep you psyched and motivated. Keep the DJ steadily- set an alarm to go off a few times a night so that you can write down those dreams. Read your old entries, especially old lucids. Re-read tutorials on your preferred techniques to make sure you're not forgetting any of the details. (mine include rcing and mild and etc., so I practice the daily dreamsign and raising awareness and rcing during the day, but you may not depending on what technique you use). At night, lay in bed and take time to relax and just think about how amazing your past LDs have been. Don't even think about becoming lucid that night or in the future, but kind of bask in the badassery of your past lucids. Listen to relaxing music if that helps.
