      Smile Any Methods???

I have not been very successful with lucid dreaming and I was just wondering if anybody has and personal methods, or tips that they would like to share. Things that have successfully worked for you in the past. I would really appreciate it! Thanks

What I have found is that the more I think about lucid dreaming, the more likely I am to experience them. This principle I liken to the idea that a dream journal signals to your mind that remembering dreams is important to you. Similarly, if you often think about lucid dreaming throughout your day (coupled with reality checks, of course), then it should become obvious to your brain that you wish to have them. I rarely use standard techniques anymore because this seems to work so well for me. However, I still want to master the WILD method since it is pretty exciting.

Hmm. How often do you wake-back-to-bed? And what do you do during that time?

My recipe for success was always to go through the dream I just had, and imagine myself reality checking at dream signs.

Have you ever had an LD before? Do you get them occasionally or have you never gotten one?

The reason i ask is that my method requires you to have an LD to get more LD's.

As Abra said, wake-back-to-bed is a very powerful method as well as remembering your last dream. Which route are you wanting to go down? The ways of WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream), or the ways of DILD (Dream Induced Lucid Dream)?

We could probably point you in a better direction if you tell us that first. Though DILD's are typically easier to attain, WILD's (at least for me) have proven to be the most rewarding.

My favorite method would have to be DEILD (dream exit induced lucid dream). For me I am able to get a pretty good amount of LDs without really "working" to get them. Y'know when you wake up in the middle of the night? You actually wake up a number of times each night even if you can't remember it.

Now when you wake up, what you gotta do is to keep your eyes closed and to move as little as possible. The next thing is to focus on the last dream that you had or a new dream environment and imagine going into that. What I feel next is an extremely amazing feeling, as if my whole body is being pulled or sucked forward. You may feel a number of things and they are all normal.

If everything goes right, then you should then be in a lucid dream! And remember if after this you are still in your bed, check and make sure it isn't actually a dream! Good luck and have fun.
