You ask alot of the questions I ask.
What is the correct ratio of effort vs. non-effort? It seems to be such a delicate balance.

I have tried too hard (grrrr), gotten over-excited (oh, yes!) and knocked myself out of many of my potential thrilling travels. (Guess I won't be flying *there* tonight....)

Then I have become (deliberately) nonchalant. This works occasionally.
I've even given up. (sigh...) Which also works occasionally.

And then I go back to practicing.
That works occasionally, too.

Thanks for all your questions.

Thank you, beachgirl. I enjoyed my first MILD and I'm hungry for more.

I think you raise an important point about being deliberately nonchalant. I haven't succeeded yet, but I think I've just become aware of something simple that was impeding me - the fear of falling asleep and losing a WILD opportunity. Now I "let myself go" more. I usually don't fall asleep anyway.

I seem to be progressing through the SP step by step. I think I got further today than ever before, but it seems that every time I pay any attention to it at all, it dies.
