My first LD involved no reality checks at all. I merely thought "I have to be dreaming" |
|
In my latest LD last night, only my second one, I remembered to question whether or not I was dreaming and suddenly I just realized I was dreaming. I used no RCs or anything like it, I just sort of knew if that makes any sense. Is this a common occurrence for people? |

I think that in over half of my Dilds I have become lucid without doing reality checks. Lately I don't do RC's and become lucid by awareness alone. I try to be aware of my sourroundings instead of actually make a RC - although it could be mistaken for the same... its just a mental RC instead of a physical one. |
|
Yeah. Out of all my LDs so far, they've just been a boost in awareness, and not induced by an RC. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I've given up on RCs because being a visual person, I'd do it in a dream, and not think twice about it |

It completely comes to me i'm dreaming without them but I do use them for reassurence but i've never been wrong anyway |

Actually my first LD ever involved no reality checks. My DCs and I were just talking and the subject just happened to drift to LDs and it was like BOOM 'I'm dreaming". It happens sometimes, i think. |

Surely..like most who posted. |

Brothers & Sisters in Dreams
I've only LD'd a few times, all of which weren't induced by a RC. However, I found it was useful to perform a check before I (for example) jumped off my balcony in an attempt to fly, punch my fist through someone's face, etc. |
|
I can only do that during nightmares. |

LDs- 1
..........
More often than not I do a reality check in a dream for some reinforcement or stabilization after I have already become aware that I was dreaming. I must point out though, that doing reality checks during the day has made a noticeable improvement in how often I become lucid. |

There is--though I do not know how there is or why there is--a sense of infinite peace and protection in the glittering hosts of heaven. There it must be, I think, in the vast and eternal laws of matter, and not in the daily cares and sins and troubles of men, that whatever is more than animal within us must find its solace and its hope. I hope, or I could not live.
absolutely ,this is how ive have had all my LD's, i expressed in another post how ive never done a RC in my dream state even though i do em 16 times a day in waking life. |

when the full realization that I am dreaming washes
over me its like the gift of a superpower or a new world where anything is possible
I don't consciously do reality checks in dreams, but I always become lucid after some sort of sign, like I'd look at my phone and there would be giberish on the screen, or I'd look in the mirror and have a warped reflection. These are types of RC's but I don't actually do them to check I'm dreaming, they are just random occurrences that snap me into lucidity |
