They are more effective than binaural beats and less hard on your ears... or so i've heard. I will continue to try using them at night but I just can't seem to get asleep with earphones in.

EDIT: you can google isochronic tones and there are many free ones out their. 8)

isochronic tones are regular beats of a single tone used for brainwave entrainment. Similar to monaural beats, the interference pattern that produces the beat is outside the brain so headphones are not required, but since isochronic tones are more pronounced, the stimuli is even stronger. They differ from monaural beats which are a sine wave pulse rather than entirely separate pulses of a single tone.

When do you listen to this. Before sleeping, while falling asleep, while sleeping?

I think that the best time to listen to anything like this is... Go to bed and get fully relaxed. Then listen to it.

There is a certain Binaural Beat that focuses on syncing your brainwaves to ready your mind for a Lucid Dream. iDose created it i believe, and i actually have it and have used it. Actually nerve created a thread regarding these and one called the Hand of God which i also tried. The lucid dream beat didn't induce a lucid dream for me but i think that's because i didn't do as mrDeano suggested and couple it with a Induction technique, though i had an amazingly vivd and surreal dream the night i used the beat.

Also, these youtube videos of the beats are low quality and not the entire beat. The entire file is 30mins-50mins long.

      "MementoMori, the lucid machine"

"There's nothing better than knowing what it's like to fly like superman. Being fully aware of the air whipping by you, controlling every movement of every single atom in your body with a single thought. It's real freedom, and there's not a word good enough to describe it, so I'll just call it dreamy for now."

Yes, most youtube links are shortened, but see, at the end of the low-quality version of this video, it has a link to a website that supposedly has a 30 minute version, but all that's on said website is a slightly longer, HD version of the same video, with the ad for a 30 minute MP3 no longer on the end. So I think that really is all there is to this one, and it's in very high quality audio if you switch it to 720p.

OMG, after listening to this for only 5 minutes, I went straight into an OBE (outer body experience). I was sitting in my chair with my eyes closed and just all of a sudden i went into hallucinations and left my body. It only happened for about 10 seconds though. but im still happy
