      Question spiritual guide

      Hi guys,
      i have a question.

I have read here one can find a DG but can one find a Spiritual Guide(SG)? Or could be that DG and SG is one and the same?

I mean dreams are part of us, of our spirit as well i suppose. So a DG could be SG but still spiritual development is more than dreaming.
If one can actually meet a SG in a dream that would be great cos reading books and develop on your own is fine but is nice to have some guidance. Similar situation is in Maths. With no guide there is easy to get lost

I have had many varied experiences with finding dream guides and spirtual guides. What I find interesting is that they usually change with every lucid dream I have. Sometimes I get guidance that I would not normally have found but most of the time I get nonsense or stuff that is cryptic. Also I've had some characters who said that they were my spirit guides but their actions were what I would assume to be unbecoming of a spirit guide, mainly impatience and meanness. I had one dream character who identified themselves as a guide tell me to "Get out!", after I had asked a question about my life's path. I got kicked out of my own dream, hehehe! In all honestly I don't know what to make of spirt guides and dream guides.

Be carefull what you ask for

I was seventeen years old and I had just finished reading the Jane Roberts "Oversoul 7" trilogy. Good stuff. I wanted to meet my higher self after that. I spent a couple weeks preparing so to speak, I meditated daily, I did an insane stretching routine, and I obstained from well, carnal activities. I then began chanting when I laid down to sleep "I want to meet my higher self, I want to meet my higher self". It took a week of this chanting, after weeks of the other stuff, I then had this Lucid dream.

I was on a backyard patio deck having a barbeque with all my "freinds", not my family.

In the distance lightning began to strike and thunder echoed. At first just a couple freinds left, but as the lightning flashes and thunder echoing got closer more and more of my freinds began to abandon the deck and leave.

As my last freinds lept over the rail, I realized I was dreaming the source of the lightning flashes and thunder appeared, he was between 35 and 40, blond haired with medium build.

As he approached the deck I began to experience an irrational fear and as I began to jump off the deck he grabbed my by the nape of my neck and pulled me back on the deck, as scared as I was in his grasp I got more irrationally fearfull when he began whispering in my ear.

Before I heard his words I was screaming my bloody head off in a complete panic. He whispered three times before I awoke screaming " choose your freinds wisely, and eat your vegtables".

I see. Nice experiences you had guys.
But still, is it possible to meet a SG?
If yes, the guide should stay the same in the dreams and be able to guide you through this maze of the Universe.
Btw now and im doing this chanting which DarkoMarco spoke about Lets see when i will have such a dream

I have seen all my spirit guides in dreams. Some, I first met in meditations. I talk with other entities only in dreams, and get advice from them, but I wouldn't necessarily call them my spirit guides. It took me a long time to meet all these people, and a lot of them, I didn't believe existed until I saw them in my dreams and talked with them.

      Here's a list:

Spirit Guides I met in Meditations first, but also in dreams:

      Light Spirit Guide:
Michael, The Archangel. He can be many places at once, therefore he is many people's spirit guide. He is a guardian spirit against demons. He gave me a silver helmet with gold wings that vibrates when danger is near.

      Dark Spirit Guide:
Koomo, King of the Bat-People. He is my blood brother in the dream and astral planes. We went through a ritual on his home planet. Raven and I helped to liberate his planet, and he became king of the planet. I am his spirit guide while I am asleep. He gave me a pair of bat wings to increase my flying agility.

      Francois:
My financial advisor. He is the spirit of a fur trader, half Indian, half French.

Spirit Guides I met in Dreams:

      Aphrodite:
My love advisor. My dream split into three when I met her.

      Xaphor:
My dream guide. He is a red gargoyle man.

      Q10:
A very evolved god-like being. He helps me create and gives me advice on spirituality. He helped me create the City of Nowhere, and turn the entire moon green. He also helped me build a workshop on an asteroid, which I named after him.

Other spirits that have given me advice in dreams, and taught me things in dreams, or given me dream gifts:

Raven Knight- taught me teleporting, multiplying, summoning, and creating portals. She gave me the Witchblade.

Selene- gave me the the moonblade, the moonstone/sunstone, energy belt, boots, gloves. Taught me that she is real. She merged with my girlfriend Angel, as she is an aspect of her.

Silverwolf- She and Pixy give me all kinds of strange dream drugs. She is a user on DV. She is a witch.

Pixy- She is a fairy who lives with Silverwolf, and a version of Angel.

MoSh- He gave me Selenite. Now our telepathic connection is stronger in waking life.

Gawn, The Dream Warrior Master- He trains us in battle.

The Frost Giant- He taught me much about the dream plane. He is a master healer. He also teaches a lot about dream healing.

Otherme- My Higher Self. We merged. He gave me the Budgie Sword.

Timelyst Knight- Myself from the future. He gave me the black symbiote dark energy armor.

don Juan- the spirit of a shaman.

      Remote Viewers- Government workers.

Remote Viewer Master- He gave me an Infinity Watch for time travel.

Morpheus- God of the dream plane.

      Hades- King of Hollow Earth.

Shark- Another false god, like I am.

Lonewolf- a Toltec shaman with a dreaming site. He gave me a golden necklace.

Also, I have a lot of adventures with Tigress, a user on DV, and Angel, my girlfriend, who almost never writes her dreams down.

On a side note: I have created armor for myself. A centipede disk for anti-swarm attack. Fly pods on my shoulders to blind Remote Viewers. I also made a mech suit and a space ship, Future's Hope.

I have also given MoSh a sword and steampunk fish and some other weird duck thing for lucidity.

A nice list WakingNomad. I see you acquired quite a lot of things in your dreams. I dont have any of that though I just want to meet a SG who can guide me in my spiritual grow. Smth like a teacher. So from your post can i accept that is possible to meet such a SG?
Btw about the false god that you are, i dont agree. You, and everyone else, are not a false god. Just god in development. We all carry the god within us only we have to connect to that part of ourselves. That is the master task of our lives. Btw by your higher self what do you mean? Just another you or really higher self? I mean the one self which is closer to god than our normal reality selves?
I am sorry if my questions seem stupid. I now read that book 'The tree of life' which opened a new chapter in my understanding and which enlightened a bit some of the Castaneda's books.

@DarkoMarco: Question. When you abstain from meat and stuff do you also abstain from sex? I mean that sex is taking from the energy needed for some travels and stuff. Ive read that in many places and even Castaneda. But do you actually do that?

Is anybody doing that at all? And if yes is it really helping in dreaming and astral travel?

Hmmmm, a delicate question. I don't personally think carniverous activity is what I commented about, but carnal, well, I was taking my cues from Carlos Castaneda, and it worked for me. Thats all I can really say about that

Sorry for the misunderstanding but still the question is valid
In a way i understand that it should help but on the other hand in Castaneda is said that we live in our circumstances so we have to fight in these circumstances. I mean if we start living like monks (abstain from this and that ) then a part of life is missing and there wont be balance. And if we manage to achieve the goal over all complications then the victory is even bigger.
But i suppose abstaining for some short periods of time is ok

Carlos said the same thing "living like monks", he protested to no end. But, it's not a morality thing, it's not an ethics thing, it's an energy thing. Now, I certainly don't advise any one to live like a monk. I don't. I have abstained for a while to see if it worked,,,,and,,,,well,,,,,,I think it does. Especially if you factor in the Chi Kung work as taught in the books of Mantak Chia, I think thats how you spell his name.

This is a conversation I had with one of my ever changing "guides" in a lucid dream 2 days ago. It's only a small sample of our conversation because it's all I could remember upon waking. The overall gist of the conversation was that he either was not allowed to give me much information or he could not give me any more information than my subconscious could create. Which would mean he really wasn't a guide at all and just a creation of my mind. Any thoughts or opinions on this conversation?

Me: Am I on my life's path or in line with what I came here to do? At first there was no answer then I asked, "Are you not allowed to tell me?"

      Guide: Yes

Me: Can I contact my higher self to get these questions answered?

      Guide: Yes

Then I had a brief conversation with him about lucid dreaming, telling him that I could only be here while I was lucid dreaming. During this conversation we were joined by a woman.

Woman: You can contact your higher self by staying in the delta and theta brainwave pattern.

I then asked a question about why (they as guides) always dress like normal people or dream characters and show up in similar building type environments.

Guide: It is a way we can hide ourselves or disguise ourselves from you.

Me: Do I annoy you with all my inquiries?

Guide: No but at times your requests get a little excessive. They pull us away from our work. You are getting better and have grown up a lot.

      After this I woke up.

      Wow, this is cool stuff.

I've only met one spirit guide. He tends to keep the same appearance, but I've not asked him anything about what I should do. I only ask about him; his name is Kal-El. He was my son when we lived in New Zealand. I spent most of my two conversations trying to be convinced that he was a separate spirit.

Do you really believe there is a difference between a SG and a DG?

A dream guide is a type of spirit guide that is relating to dream mainly, which you speak to more in dreams than in meditations or other ways.

I first read about spirit guides years ago. I've only communicated with them so far in lucid dreams. What I do is when I realize that I am lucid I say "I would like to see my spirit guide". A figure appears from a ball of light. I usually get a different figure each time, but I have gotten a woman with red hair several times. I haven't gotten around to asking how many guides I have yet.
I believe that dream guides and spirit guides are the same. What ever we call them, they are spiritual beings assigned to us to guide us through life.

I don't know if there is a differance between dream and spirit guides, but my guides name, as far as I know, is Shard. He originally took the form of the green crystal that floats above Sim's heads from the game "the sims" but his form changes to that of a brown wolf-man every once in awhile. I have yet to speak with him in a dream, I usually just talk to him while I am on a walk in waking life.

Wow. Reminds me of a quote I read in a book somewhere, something to the effect of "I can only teach you what you already know"
I don't think it is a matter of what your subconscious can create, but what we can open up and include into our subconscious. Some say our subconscious is really part of the "Universal Mind" stuff. I remember someone (Depak Chopra) saying that we all really know everyone's secrets (at some level). We just politely limit ourselves to only acknowledging what we know via our physical life/brain.
