Does anybody experience what seems to be hypnagogic imagery over your vision? To be more specific it happens when its bright or you stare at a point for a long time more vividly but its always there very faintly... Like millions of tiny little shapes so nothing ever really looks one colour but a big mix up. Its like when you press in your eyes and see those weird swirls and twirls but alot lesser. What could this be? Does anyone else experience this? Or am I just insane |

you are not insane thats for sure. i see these dots which look dark with closed eyes and bright white with opened eyes quite often and without pressing my eyes. also sometimes the colors are braking to their basic and it feels like a glitch in 'the matrix' |

I experience this too, I know exactly what you're talking about! |

As we felt eternity,
the water recalled her life
as rain.
Well Its good to know im not mad! Its not really a bad thing, just always there, I think pretty much everyone will have it because its something you wont see unless you think about it, because we're so used to it. |
|
I think that is just regular eye stuff... lots of little pixels; rods & cones happily firing. |
|
Whenever I stare into space for a long time I expierence that. I'll see little dots and colours floating through the air. I think it's just a normal thing to expierence when your eyes focus to long on a spot. |

I've always seen random blinky lights swirling in my vision if I've just done any strenuous activity. Also I can notice a film grain effect, always, if I focus on it. And ever since I've done acid I can create mini colorful swirls if I'm staring at the right surface. Floaters can be fun to stare at as well. Visual perception is fun xD |
|
Yeah me too! But I am both parts mystic and scientist... makes my life very interesting. |

They are known as floaters (little white things appearing everywhere in your vision but no matter how much you move your eyes you cannot look directly at them) and can be seen more when looking at an empty space that isn't white. Try looking at the sky at a bright day with no clouds. They will be especially visible. It happens to everyone on Earth and it's nothing to worry about. |
|
Yes I get these as well along with other tiny clear shapes that move in and out of focus! Dont worry, Most people dont even notice these but most here focus on things a little differently |

I was trying PK when this happened to me it was really cool! |

sounds like your unlocking the dmt in your brain |

saw a documentary the other day where people in a sleep lab were deprived of rem sleep. they apparently needed to catch up so they started to dream in real life too, like images overlaid onto reality |
|
here it is, its very interesting. also perhaps the reason that psychological treatments that just repress peoples connection with their subconscious dont work very well |
|
Yup! I've had a lot of hypnagogic imagery, a couple times sound, and in one instance I experienced a hypnic jerk. I've also faded through hypnopompia. It's awesome stuff! Read some more about hypnagogia: wiki! |

I had it so badly as a kid, they would turn into monsters, I guess I learned to tune it out over time. I can still see it if I think about it, hell I can see it looking at my wall right now. |
