Exclamation Is this an OBE? Reply asap plz!

Last time I posted this nobody actually replied. In my eyes, a resolve to this confusion is quite important, as it marks whether I've actually succeeded in an OBE or just experienced another lucid. Somebody, please help me out here!:

So this morning I was in a dream where I was lying in my bed (in a room completely different to mine) thinking about OBE's (unaware I was dreaming), and I randomly tried to see if I could do a 360 rotation (I had my eyes open and was staring at something on the ceiling directly above me). To my astonishment, I did it perfectly; it made me feel really queezy though. I kept doing this to see what would happen and eventually it started happening out of my control and I was spinning constantly. I got worried at this point because I couldn't stop what was happening and tried to slow the spinning down. At first, I had no luck, but eventually I manage to slow it down a bit. Then something came over me. This strange feeling which felt like I was going through some sort of change, just swept over me like a sheet. I didn't know what to think of it - all I knew was that I had done something which meant the ball was rolling, and wouldn't stop.
Then my eyes were forced shut, and the spinning stopped (not sure if I was dreaming or awake at this point). I wondered if I had gotten somewhere so I tried moving my right arm. It felt sleep paralysis-ish as it was hard to move and heavy, so I stopped and tried my left - I had full control over it, and it was as light as a feather. I opened my eyes slightly to see what was happening, and I could see 2 arms (and I was also back in my room). One being my real one, perfectly still next to my side, and one being my 'other' one, moving around. I shut my eyes again and used this free limb to pull myself 'out' of my 'body'. Slowly but surely, I managed to pry myself out (now and then opening my eyes to see what was happening, and seeing my original self motionless in bed) until the point where I was able to just get out of bed and stand up in my room, with my actual body still in bed.

At this point, I was like and went to my window and looked out out of it. I can't remember what I saw but I said to myself ''Dude! I've actually done it! I'm out of my body!'' and turned back to my bed, getting on my knees to see what things felt like. I couldn't distinguish any differences, so I got up and walked to the door (it was wide open for some reason), and briefly tried masturbating. Immediately upon doing so, I noticed it felt completely different, and my body both looked and felt warped. Then I noticed something horrifying; my 'private area' had something wedged into the japs eye. I pulled down the foreskin and there were nails and other metal objects stuck in everywhere. This seriously alarmed me, and I proceeded to remove it all without consideration of whether it would hurt or not. It didn't hurt, but it didn't feel comfortable either.

Then the second horror arose. I heard something coming up the stairs, snarling viciously (I think). I could feel its presence, and it sent me into a deep state of fear, as it felt both hellish and demonic; everything about it negative. I was terrified and felt trapped, as my room was a dead end. I wanted to get out of the place I was in IMMEDIATELY, and back into my body so I did the 'will myself back' thing. To begin with, nothing happened, and my state of fear grew worse as I thought this thing would get to me. I then closed my eyes and put everything I had into going back, into feeling back in my bed again. I then felt like I was being drawn back to my body and tried to intensify the feeling of being in bed. Then I 'woke up'.

Now, the strange thing is that the feeling of the world I was in.. I've felt it before. Likewise, it was a bad experience, and I didn't know whether I was dreaming or beyond that. One of my childhood nightmares used to be something menacing coming up the stairs, too. However, I distinctly came out of the body I was in, so even if it was a dream to begin with, surely I converted it into something else?

I'm really confused about this. If it IS an OBE, why was it so bad?

EDIT: I forgot to add: When I said ''Dude! I've actually done it! I'm out of my body!'' my voice was also messed up. It kind of scared me, but I figured since I was in a different reality it was natural.

Sounds like you had an experience with a higher level of consciousness present than in a normal dream.

I've dealt with creatures similar to the one you described as well. The most important thing to remember is that they can't harm you. All they can do is try to scare you. Getting over your fear is going to help you in your future endeavors tremendously.

OBE's are often times frightening to people at first. Just keep pushing through this and you should have more and more experiences. Open mindedness and fearlessness will be your keys.

      Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, afterwards I realised I should have just gone outta my room and faced whatever it was, 'cause it could have been some tiny thing with a big mouth.

But yeah, hopefully this will happen again soon. The only thing is that it was completely out of the blue, but next time I'll be able to expect something else happening like that and just smash it in the face.

If you're smart/trained/disciplined enough, you'll be able to dismiss "nightmares" with a flick of your finger. The more you do that the closer you will be to what you're after.

My opinion is that OBEs should be expect to be bad for most people, because its not natural for most people. Of those people who can easily OBE, a large number of them choose not to (whether a majority I don't know). But of course most of those people don't write books on OBE or post a lot about them on forums.

To answer your original question: your experience does not seem to me to be an OBE. However, there are aspects of it that are the same, as if your mind is partially aware in the way it would need to be in order to OBE.
