Shared dream I had with my boyfriend

Hey all, cool forum I found here, hopefully I can put the info to use.

Not sure if I am posting this in the right spot..

I had a shared dream with my boyfriend a few months ago, and I was wondering if there is any info on how to induce a shared dream experience?

This is how it went if you are interested.

      My Version:
I was upstairs in this house I have never seen before. We were in New York, close to the ocean. I was hanging out with some girls, and I began wondering what he was up to. Somehow I knew he was there. I headed outside through side door downstairs to find him. I walked in through the front door and he was there sitting at the computer with some friends. I said hey, and shortly after that we heard an explosion. We went outside and saw huge power line falling down, and the water rising. We both knew it was the end for us. He asked me if we should run, and I told him no. Let's just watch and we held hands and watched.

      His Version:
He was in a downstairs room, in a house in New York, on the computer with his friend and he found a button somehow that would end the world (lol). He was hoping I wouldn't get mad if he pushed it. Well he pushed the button. Then he said I walked in and we heard an explosion, walked outside and saw water rising like a tidal wave and buildings and power lines falling. He tried to make me run with him, but I refused, because I knew there was no point. So he stood there and watched.

When we woke up we chatted for a bit, then I brought up that I had an intense dream. He said he did too. I told him we were in new york, and he said he was too. I told him about the explosion, and he asked me if there was a tidal wave... it was crazy. I asked him why the hell he pushed that button. haha.

Anyway, we tried for it again, but It hasn't happened. I loved it when it did though.

      Thanks for reading

That's really quite an incredible amount of detail that you both had exact matching plots! I'm impressed!

It was totally unexpected. Neither of us have experienced it before.

Any information on how to induce shared dreaming would be most appreciated.

Wow! It is a great conformity! Had you spoken about the topic or had you watched any movie about such things together before you had the dreams? If not, it is awesome that you probably had a shared dream! Did you both wake up immediately after the end of this? Did you wake up at the same time? Does he remember you held your hands at the end?
PS: If you want info on how to induce a shared dream, read these tutorials http://www.dreamviews.com/f19/shared-dream-faqs-109499/ (there are links to the tutorials). You need to learn lucid dreaming first to follow the tutorials. However I don't claim that non-lucid dreams cannot be shared (if it is possible, it is probably random - as the yours).

Nothing was ever spoken of, and we didn't see any movies about it prior. It was totally random out of no where situation. We weren't freaked out or anything. I am not sure if he remembers holding my hand or not.

Thanks for the link. We are both going to start working on the WILD technique.

The only shared dreams I've had have been unintentional, and with someone I was really connected to at the time. There are techniques which have been claimed to work though, it's mainly about getting to the other person.

Think about the way you feel about your boyfriend - the way you can say his name and instantly know what that means to you, the same way I say 'gravity' and you understand the concept. You need to focus on this understanding of who the other person is, and in a dream this can make many things happen like a string attach to your waist leading off into the distance or you can attach that concept to a portal, or simply focus on them and teleport.

It's awesome then! The conformity is very convincing.
WILD is difficult, but good for shared dreams probably, because it allows you to have a lucid dream almost at will when you master it. However if you aim for an intentional shared dream, you should be lucid, but you boyfriend doesn't have to be lucid. The lucid dreamer visits the other's dream and tells him/her about it. This is how I understand it, I may be wrong.

      Oh sorry.

We both woke up at the same time at the end of the dream.
