      This Forum.

Excuse my scepticism, but all these elaborate posts just seem like a grab for attention, or something to make you feel like you're some sort of special being. I used to be like this, I'd believe and make up conspiracies and convince myself I am some sort of 'chosen one.' The thing is, is those sorts of posts that pop up on this forum have one thing in common! It's usually centred all around the original poster, and there are no actual 'links' between all these conspiracies.

Then when people respond with scepticism? They get pissy and just repeatedly tell you to 'discover it for yourself,' or 'Hades wont let me tell you all any more.' Which is ridiculous because once again they're claiming that they're centre of this world/conspiracy and using silly excuses because nothing remotely feasible exists, they don't even explain how they came to the conclusion!

Sorry for this rant, especially in this forum section. It's just that it drives me off the edge when people just come up with these things so they can feel special and have a divine purpose.

Whether or not this posts are factually based or random fiction ego is irrelevant. Dreaming is an area that is very personal. With the exception of shared dreaming, everything that happens within the dream is experienced only by the dreamer. Dreams are based on expectation and intention, so the creation of this forum, with an ardent opposition to skepticism allows the perfect experimentation environment.

Can you do telepathy in a dream? Try it and report back here with no fear of people shouting that what you experienced is impossible. Believe you learned some private knowledge? Tell everyone about it and see if we can replicate it. Think of this forum as an experiment driven forum without the criticism.

Definitely there's a fair amount of that kind of thing going on, and its why things like Star Wars movies make me retch now.

So suppose you ruthlessly stomp out your attention getting exaggeration. Then time passes, and you're still having experiences that a lot of other people don't believe in, for instance suppose you lucid dream every night. You describe one to a friend or a coworker and they just think you're making it up, because they don't even remember dreams most of the time. Or they thing it sounds weird and suggest you see a doctor and take something that will make you 'normal'. Instead you go to a dreaming web site that has a sub forum on lucid dreaming, so you can talk about your experiences with other people. Then other people from the dream-interpretation forum keep dropping in every day or two to tell you that you're a bunch of megalomaniacal drama queens, and nobody can lucid dream. What would you think of that?

Lucid dreaming is more accepted now, but it wasn't when I was younger. Should I deny who I am, because somebody else who thinks everyone else should be like them believes I'm making wild claims? Its not like I went into a dream interpretation forum and started telling everyone about astral projection. I post here in 'beyond dreaming', because I'm trying to make more sense of my shared and precognitive experiences. What are you doing in here?

"This forum" is more than just OBE's. Read before you judge, and if you did read all threads and still judge? Then you are not worth my time anyways. Go read books about telepathy and dream sharing. try if for yourself. If you don't want to try it and actually still doubt it then not worth explaining to you because you are not "interested" in this. If you were not interested then why do you post such a mean post to expect negative replies? Are you that jealous? Btw everyone can do these things, not only one person is special and divine!

Excuse me, but I never said anything about OBE's or Dream Sharing. Many people have claimed to do both, and I believe them. How you got that from my post is a mystery to me, since I never mentioned those activities. I'd love to try both things! I've been trying to have an OBE since I was 12 and I didn't need to read any of these posts to believe dream sharing is real, I've been trying to share dreams with people since I was a young boy.

Again, I'll start another paragraph with 'Excuse me.' How is my post mean? I'm not directly attacking anyone, I didn't state anyone's name or the links to their threads. I simply stated my concerns with some of these posts, how dare you imply that I made a mean post on a forum that allows both skeptics and believers? Sure, I'd be a jerk if I posted this in the Deep Dreaming Team, but I didn't. Then you have to go on to mention of how I'm jealous, I'm certainly not jealous of both shared dreamers and astral projectionists, I'd love to learn as much as I can from them so I can increase my knowledge and one day I hope to try these techniques myself, the problem is that I reserve fear with OBE's because of the chance of SP. Though I'd love to try and share a dream once I become more talented in recall.

You've seemed to completely dismiss the fact that I never mentioned OBE's or Shared Dreaming, I was talking about some of the more elaborate posts that pop-up on this forum. Why couldn't you see that? If I meant OBE's and Shared Dreaming I would of mentioned them, and wouldn't have implied that only a single and special person could do it. I think you thoroughly mis-read my post.

@ShadowofWind Don't worry, I'm not trying to stomp out anything here! I didn't mean anything by this post and I certainly hope I'm not 'stomping out' anyone's beliefs. I was just concerned, because many of these posts seem to revolve around themselves and the skeptic in me screams out. I apologize, it's just that these things seem harder to believe when no-one else is backing them. It's just that one person.

Although now I look at that point of view, I could potentially make someone believe they are crazy with been skeptic. It makes me realize I should come into this forum with a more open mind, I do apologize. I had a bad experience with magic a while back that led me to be skeptical of nearly anything remotely spiritual, and I'm still in recovery. I actually love Oneireus' description of this forum as an 'experiment driven forum without criticism.'

Most of you have helped open my eyes to this forum much more. I thankyou for that.

Because this forum is about OBE's, shared dreaming etc. OR didn't you NOT know this? Beyond dreaming IS part of those subjects as well.

*Sigh* I think I've summed up my feelings about this pretty well already and I need not explain myself to you yet again.

When you are a skeptic, don't say you don't believe in it fully, just say you don't believe in it period because of lack of evidence. Don't beat around the bush like how your friend was. He actually made himself a fool for saying he is not skeptical at all when he just admitted he is one. Skeptics don't deny they are skeptics, they admit it! Your friend is an odd skeptic.

      A Journey imw

      Someday, somewhere
Well find a new way of living
Will find a way of forgiving
      Somewhere...

      There's a place for us
      Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
      Wait for us
      Somewhere

      There's a time for us
      Someday there'll betime for us
Time together and time to spare
Time to learn, time to care
      Someday, somewhere
Well find a new way of living
Will find there's a way of forgiving

      Somewhere... somewhere... somewhere...

      There's a place for us
A time and a place for us
Hold my hand and were half way there
Just hold my hand and I'll take you there
      Somehow...Someday, somewhere...
