      Question about Astral Projection

I just registered to this site about 5 minutes ago and this is the first time I attempted AP. I was lying in bed and I felt myself getting lighter (as in floating) and so I said to myself "why not try it"? With that I sort of "pushed" myself out of my body, kinda.

Here's where things get weird. There was high pitched ringing in my ears, I sort of saw myself sleeping, I could look around but I was immobile and could not speak. Somehow everything returned to normal, and I sort of "fell" back onto my bed. I have no idea what the hell happened. Could anyone at all explain this to me?

Hmm in order to return to the physical body in an OBE/ AP you just have to think about the physical body and your instantly back.

To me this sounds like an awesome attempt and that you just need to practice it over and over again until you learn the way of doing it.

Yes, I have experienced the high-pitched ringing and the paralysis. Normally happens just after I wake up and I attempt to AP. Never actually done it successfully...
So I had my first OBE the other day... I was completely beside myself!

Generally (for me anyway), the ringing in the ears, noises, vibrations etc....is a precursor to trying to push myself out of body.

Not that that's the only way to do it, but the things you are describing suggest to me you are on the right track.

Here's a couple of tips for you:

      1) As soon as you are out of body, get away from your physical body, leave your house
      2) Have some ideas beforehand what you want to do, where you want to go, when in that state then it will make things a lot easier, when you realise you are out of body and you freak out or whatever, the experience will be over really quickly.

I know I'm late to reply but it worked! Astral projection is an amazing thing that should be experienced by all. The easiet way for me to AP is for my whole body to be warm at the same time (ie my whole body huddled under my bed sheet, no feet or arms sticking out).

Once I'm completely relaxed the ringing and vibrations start immediately, which I call the "standbye for take off" phase. Then I "take off" out of my body.
