Deep meditation has some similarities to OBE/WILD experiences, but the difference is that your mind remains anchored to your body for as long as you are able to hold it there. You may feel all kinds of weird sensations during meditation like floating, spinning, feeling your limbs are at other places than they actually are. While I do sitting meditation and get very deep, either with eyes open or closed, I can feel that my hands stretch to the sides, while they are clasped on my lap. I can also feel that I am standing even though I am sitting. So, it's like my body is floating upright and at the same time sitting. I very much like those sensations and often use them as a gauge of how deep into the meditation state I am.

I think it may be an indicator of that too. The more relaxed the body the closer you are to falling asleep. Are you trying to have an ld with the tech or just meditate? AP/OBE/WILD are kind of hard to tell apart especially in the beginning. One may rely more on one's own feel of the environment to try to guess if it is AP/OBE or WILD. Some people think they are the same. At any rate, ignoring definitions, getting into a deep state meditation and feeling your body in a weird way is more likely to result in an ld/OBE/AP in your room, while a meditation where you are watching images/HI is more likely to you having an ld in another location.

And finally, you do not need to aim for SP in order to dream/ld/ap. You just need to relax your body as much as possible while keeping your mind gently aware.

Hmm...i meditate and i don't see your point or understand it, because i don't experience such hallucinations like that. I don't think you are suppose to focus on your body while meditating.

I do Hathor; but then again, I'm not what one could call an expert in meditation by any means. But when I am deeply relaxed, I get almost hypnogagic-like sensations that can feel really strange. One sensation that is quite common is to feel as if I am spinning really really fast, much like what I feel when I make a WILD attempt.
