I had my friend stay over, she doesn't believe in all of the supernatural stuff. A complete non-believer of anything. We slept and she woke up and freaked out, waking me up. She told me someone was in the house. No one was, and everyone was sleeping. She swore she heard footsteps and voices. She is not schizophrenic or has any 'issues'.
re 3: as much as you're all trying to help, i find it offensive that you would dismiss my findings as crazy or 'creepypasta' material. Also to insinuate that the rest of my family is as well. I didn't believe in any of this either. No god, no dream shit, absolutely nothing. I thought my mother was crazy when she said I 'have a connection' or I was 'a special child from a young age'. Turns out, I can't explain this either. I wouldn't lie to you guys, because I want to know what Is happening and why it is happening. Thanks for all of your suggestions, and please keep them coming. But i am going to disregard anything about me being crazy.
Well, if you are telling the truth, it seems like there are only a few things that are likely causes, such as:
1. You could be absolutely and positively insane, hallucinating what your mother and friends say to you as well as this presence. I doubt this is the case, but you shouldn't rule it out entirely.
It could just be placebo-effect taken to the extreme. Your mother tells you that you are "connected", this grows in your subconscious without you knowing, and when you start lucid dreaming it opens up your the deeper parts of your mind, potentially unleashing subconscious thoughts into your conscious mind. As it seems to be getting worse, this could just be the problem growing inside your mind as you get more and more invested in it. Then think about your mother, if she thought this was a thing in the first place (and is pretty eccentric, and it seems like she is), telling her about it would be very likely to cause her to believe in it as well, and it could then manifest in dreams, subconscious, etc. It is less likely with your friend but all that happened was she woke up thinking someone was in the house. It could have just been (again) placebo effect by the subconscious manifesting itself into malicious thoughts during her dreams. About the things moving around, this could be sleepwalking, or even not real. The mind is extremely powerful and you shouldn't underestimate its ability to twist reality. This morning I was in a room, and someone walked in. The door was in completely plain view, I was 100% conscious, and I even took note of the door opening. However, for some reason it seems like I wasn't entirely aware because all I saw was a kind of fluttering movement, and only after the person who had just walked in came within a foot of me did I realize that they were even in the room. This wasn't just that I didn't notice them, I actually saw them enter but I had a kind of strange hallucination thing going on. Stuff like this can happen.
It could also be supernatural. In which case you should just try to solve the problem as logically as possible. Who even knows if this is a "problem"? It could be a good thing. Just be reasonable and don't freak out and it will probably end well.
Edit: You can never really rule out the very large chance of it being a mental thing until you get solid evidence of a supernatural occurrence, like a video of things moving around or something like that.
