Same goes with the realization that if the universe is mental, we are all God. Semantics become important here, though. Even if I have many of "God's" powers and abilities, I am not God, God is me. I am but a sliver, a fragment of the whole, and even if my sliver is the closest to the whole thing in similarity, I will never be the whole.
I really like this explanation, and your signature. I realized once that the world can be best described as "everything". While this may seem like a very stupid and obvious comment, it actually has substance to it. "Everything" is just a simplified version of "everything is everything", which in turn could be expressed in a more complex way by saying "every individual object, and all groups of objects are all other groups of things and individual things". "Everything" is just the most simplified way of expressing what the universe is in English.
I also think that enlightenment is similar to this. The reason it is so hard to achieve is that it has a sort of infinity to it. You can never express it in English words, or any words for that matter, even if you have millions of years to describe it. It is a single point of understanding, and can only be understood as such. My brother and I share a theory of what enlightenment is: the answer to the question. The question also cannot be expressed in words. It would be best described as "?", a question mark. It is the pure form of inquisitive nature. It is something you feel, not something you know. The answer is the same way. I think I understand enlightenment to a certain degree but I haven't reached it yet. It seems to be in my sights though.

Edit: My lecture isn't done yet. I think enlightenment is the pure blissfulness of understanding the true nature of the world. Which is the answer to the question. I think I have felt moments of enlightenment, because how else would I understand what it is? It seems to me like the knowledge that everything. Yes, "everything" as verb. Like "everything is happening". But even that doesn't quite describe it. Because not only is everything happening, but everything is, everything was, everything will be... everything is everything in all forms. Enlightenment is the purest form of "everything is everything". It is kind of like a black hole.
I would compare the description of enlightenment using only logical and rational sentences and words (as in, no saying ambiguous statements like "everything is everything") to a large astral body such as the earth. "Everything is everything" could be something super compressed like a neutron star. It may be much more compressed than the earth but it still has size. Enlightenment would be a black hole. It is compressed down to singularity, infinitely small. No description can be exact because any description that can be expressed must also have substance to it, which means it is not an infinitely refined concept and thus not enlightenment.

Do any of you think this makes sense or does it just seem like I am rambling?

Also, HoldorFold, there is a difference between believing in psi phenomena and believing in bullshit. I very recently opened myself up to realize that pis phenomena are most likely real, but how in the fuck would garlic ward off a monster?

It may be a placebo effect? You always hear that people are possessed ONLY if they are willing. It's a bit like hypnosis, you can't hypnotize someone that's unwilling.

Maybe the garlic provides someone psychological strength to ignore the spirit or defeat it?

Personally this sounds more like a haunted house than spirit guide. When I moved into my house I had these awful nightmares. Then someone told me a person died in my house. Whenever I felt a bit scared I would feel strong and refuse to be afraid. I don't know the details of the death, but I do know that they were predominant in one room. I also had a couple scary sleep paralyze episodes happen in that room where I felt like someone was sitting on my bed next to me and later talking to me.

Needless to say I don't sleep there. I had a guest sleep in the room and they said they had a terrible nightmare in the same room.

I would guess Elias is a former resident of your home. You may want to do some history on your house and see if you have a ghost living with you.

My problem with ghosts and demons is that I don't believe in "negative", "positive", "evil", or "good" entities. I think everything is kind of neutral, including humans. My belief is that nothing is naturally malicious in any way, so demons could not exist, and ghosts that are solely malicious couldn't either.

I believe in evil, positive and negative, but in a relativistic sense. I don't think there is a universal evil, I think evil is relative to each person. I don't believe in absolutes in much of anything.

A ghost that is set out on your destruction is evil to you.

I believe that if I live with a ghost, we are like two strangers living together as I refuse to acknowledge him/her.

I firmly believe if you ignore the entity, it has no way to pester you. I also believe that when you're sleeping that you are more vulnerable to being interacted with. Don't mess around with the spirit guide, find a way to sleep else where and it may just go away. By accepting it, you are asking for trouble.

If supernatural phenomena exist I don't understand how people aren't attracted to them like moths to a light. If you have any kind of curiosity of any sort you will understand how truly amazing such things would be and want to know more about them. Did you know that a prosthetic limb has been invented, that when attached to a patients stump of an arm, allowed them to not only control the arm just like a real one but also feel it to the extent that they could tell the difference between it touching sandpaper and cotton with their eyes closed. This is 100% true. I feel like a vast majority of people will read that and think it is pretty cool. Supernatural phenomenons are like that, but x1000. It would be such a great scientific discovery that it would blow all existing gadgets, knick-knacks, and cool theories right out of the water. For god's sake, it would mean the very basis of reality is not solid!. Just speculation here, but could it be that you have doubts about it leading you to not want to investigate further?

      Review

I went through all of your opinions and suggestions.

re 1: Schizophrenia doesn't run in the family
re 2: Have a friend sleep over:

I had my friend stay over, she doesn't believe in all of the supernatural stuff. A complete non-believer of anything. We slept and she woke up and freaked out, waking me up. She told me someone was in the house. No one was, and everyone was sleeping. She swore she heard footsteps and voices. She is not schizophrenic or has any 'issues'.

re 3: as much as you're all trying to help, i find it offensive that you would dismiss my findings as crazy or 'creepypasta' material. Also to insinuate that the rest of my family is as well. I didn't believe in any of this either. No god, no dream shit, absolutely nothing. I thought my mother was crazy when she said I 'have a connection' or I was 'a special child from a young age'. Turns out, I can't explain this either. I wouldn't lie to you guys, because I want to know what Is happening and why it is happening. Thanks for all of your suggestions, and please keep them coming. But i am going to disregard anything about me being crazy.

also, Elias has been around for a long time, through different houses. he's followed me from dubai to england to canada. and frequents both me and my mother. Im in canada, moms in england. How could he be a ghost? No one has ever died in our houses, (trust me, i checked), we're near no cemeteries, no 'ancient burial grounds', nothing. That's why i am confused

At this point, your question is lost if you cannot accept that what you describe seems like, to some of us that you may be having a mental health issue. The other explanation could be.... remnants of previous activity in the house or be supernatural.

Im not trying to be a bitch here, but if you come to a message forum for help, you cant really expect to have your concerns answered to your liking. You may find bits and pieces of information that is helpful, but only YOU in your own heart knows what is going on.
Here is the definition of psyche......
: the specialized cognitive, conative, and affective aspects of a psychosomatic unity : mind; specifically : the totality of the id, ego, and superego including both conscious and unconscious components .
All I am saying is that parts of the self can be torn in different directions for a number of reasons, that is called disassociation. One aspect of the self becomes disassociated from the experience and acceptance of the whole person and sometimes what people think are dream guides or DC's are simply aspects of the self. The higher self or Psyche as defined above is the one that is telling you there will be no more Elias. You drempt this for a reason, you should listen to yourself, your higher self.

I was agreeing with you somewhat but trying to make the statement that a DG cannot be your true self in the meaning that it is the entirety of you, represented as a being. The mere fact that you are observing the entity means your consciousness is split and therefore no longer "whole". So while a DG is definitely you, and might know more subconscious information than you, it cannot be the true self.

As for the other thing I stated, I was basically saying that we are all experiencing a subjective reality. The kadie you are is different than the kadie that exists in snoop's mind, WakingNomad's mind, or Sviason's mind, for instance. They are all very similar, but you are the "true" you if you wish to call it that. Ours are mere representations of you, running in the background as a model for what you could possibly be thinking, feeling, or doing. None of the things we come up with are ever 100% the case, but since we do not have linked minds, our little models of you we have running as background processes will have to do in predicting your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

I agree, but instead I think evil is relative to humans and other life forms, intelligent beings, or conscious entities. Otherwise, the label is pretty arbitrary and loses its meaning. Same goes for good. Perhaps you just worded your statement oddly, but I think it extends past what each person believes it is because it effects everything that can think and feel.

Check out the movie: The Entity (1982) - IMDb

Based somewhat on a real story of an entity that follows a woman around.

Well, if you are telling the truth, it seems like there are only a few things that are likely causes, such as:

      1. You could be absolutely and positively insane, hallucinating what your mother and friends say to you as well as this presence. I doubt this is the case, but you shouldn't rule it out entirely.

It could just be placebo-effect taken to the extreme. Your mother tells you that you are "connected", this grows in your subconscious without you knowing, and when you start lucid dreaming it opens up your the deeper parts of your mind, potentially unleashing subconscious thoughts into your conscious mind. As it seems to be getting worse, this could just be the problem growing inside your mind as you get more and more invested in it. Then think about your mother, if she thought this was a thing in the first place (and is pretty eccentric, and it seems like she is), telling her about it would be very likely to cause her to believe in it as well, and it could then manifest in dreams, subconscious, etc. It is less likely with your friend but all that happened was she woke up thinking someone was in the house. It could have just been (again) placebo effect by the subconscious manifesting itself into malicious thoughts during her dreams. About the things moving around, this could be sleepwalking, or even not real. The mind is extremely powerful and you shouldn't underestimate its ability to twist reality. This morning I was in a room, and someone walked in. The door was in completely plain view, I was 100% conscious, and I even took note of the door opening. However, for some reason it seems like I wasn't entirely aware because all I saw was a kind of fluttering movement, and only after the person who had just walked in came within a foot of me did I realize that they were even in the room. This wasn't just that I didn't notice them, I actually saw them enter but I had a kind of strange hallucination thing going on. Stuff like this can happen.

It could also be supernatural. In which case you should just try to solve the problem as logically as possible. Who even knows if this is a "problem"? It could be a good thing. Just be reasonable and don't freak out and it will probably end well.

Edit: You can never really rule out the very large chance of it being a mental thing until you get solid evidence of a supernatural occurrence, like a video of things moving around or something like that.

You have a few limited options if your house is actually haunted.

I grew up in a haunted house, as I previously mentioned. We had a Christian exorcism and that didn't do anything, but then we had a half-Irish/half-Native-American shaman come and do his stuff and then it was fine for a year. If you get a real Native American shaman to do the equivalent of an exorcism on your property, he'll "smudge" the place with sage incense as part of the process and you'll probably be ok after that.

Alternatively things you can do yourself:

      For your property:
      - Build an Orgone Matrix (orgonite placed in a matrix formation throughout your property):

This is all the information you should need.

So you mean only certain ethnicities can practice exorcisms? Or do you mean they use different practices because of different cultures? Do you mind explaining exactly what this half-irish/half-native american exorcist did, and also what the christian one did?

      (Epic post time...)

I'm a firm believer in speaking from real life solid experience so I'm not saying that only certain ethnicity can practice exorcisms (!), but from my experience the Shaman got results compared to the Christian exorcist who didn't. Ethnicity wise, it technically doesn't matter, it's to do with the traditions and practices.

That experience fits in with the reality that Shamans generally deal a lot with real spiritual phenomena as they meditate, contact spirits etc. but Christians (in general) deal solely with rituals and 'going through the motions'. This is a generalisation though, I'm sure there good Christian exorcists out there, but the odds are with the Shamans.

In terms of what they did, it was 20 years ago, but I still remember the general details...

      First some background details...

There was strange phenomena in the house from when I was born. My parents say toys would go off by themselves in my room even when they weren't wound up. My dad, who was a very logical minded computer analyst, started experiencing strange things such as feeling presences and seeing dark things flying around the place. He felt he was being targeted by entities. Eventually, my mom had enough of seeing him like this so she said "whatever is bothering him, bother me instead"... and after that she started experiencing terrible things like feelings of being touched by cold hands, voices etc.

Things eventually subsided on their own and we experienced sporadic phenomena going forward, such as seeing the odd ghost here and there, but nothing life altering. This was until my age of 9 when everything changed...

At this point the phenomena started again with a vengeance, this time revolving around my sister who was 14 at the time. She started hearing voices and then started exhibiting traits of possession / schizophrenia. Along with this the fire alarm would go off by itself, the same with the doorbell, we would smell strange (bad) smells wafting past us and dark presences. All the while my sister got worse and worse, scrawling obscenities all over the place and talking in evil voices. I remember a woman came to look after my sister and I when my parents went away for a bit and reported the bed being violently shook when she was asleep.

Eventually my mom approached our local Priest, from the Anglican Church, and he agreed to perform an exorcism on the property. From what I remember, he came in with someone else from the Church and read passages from the bible in each room while sprinkling water. Unfortunately, it had no effect whatsoever and the phenomena continued and my sister was as bad as ever.

My dad got a contract which had him work in another city several hours away so he stayed in rented accommodation with some other people during the week and came back on the weekends. One of those people was a half Irish, half Native American Shaman called Rocky. We lived in Canada at the time, but my dad was born in Yorkshire, England so he was naturally the conservative type and never told anyone about the problems back home. But he showed Rocky a picture of the house and immediately Rocky said something very bad is happening there as he saw dark energy around the place.

One day we got a call from my dad saying that Rocky was going to come and check the place out that night, but he's going to come in spirit form. That night we heard an owl outside, which is very rare where I lived... we told my dad about that and he mentioned Rocky travels the astral realms in the form of his spirit animal, which is an owl. Eventually, Rocky comes down in person and does an exorcism on the property...

From what I remember, he burnt sage and 'smudged' the place with it which basically means he blew smoke in every room. He blew smoke on the windows and doors and said that he is sealing the entrances from negative intrusions. I believe he was chanting in his native tongue as well throughout this.

The morning after I felt the vibe and energy of the house was completely different... and I was only 10 but I remember this clearly. The most astonishing thing is that my sister was 100% fine.... 100%... fine. Completely normal like she was before all of this. Instantly. The morning after. It was ****ing unbelievable...

All phenomena stopped and my sister was completely fine for a year. Then after a year she went from normal to having the same problems in the period of about 1 month. This time there was negligible surrounding phenomena, it was just my sister having the problems. This went on for some time and then my mom brought her to the psychiatrists, she was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and put on medications which have since destroyed her completely. She now has the mental capacity of a 3 year old, if that. She barely moves or talks and has to be showered by a carer.

Many years have gone by since then and over the years I have really delved into experiential spiritual phenomena, fueled by my experiences in childhood. The advice I gave in this thread is from hands on personal experience as I've had to deal with a lot more phenomena myself since leaving home... also because I've seen the damage medication can do to a person I think it should be the last resort and one should explore alternatives first. I've learned a lot about dealing with entities from trial and error and implementing the methods of highly effective people, such as Robert Bruce. I often wonder what it would have been like if we knew about these methods all those years ago.

I don't have extensive experience with spirits, but I am rather well-read on the subject; and as far as reports of "real" spirits go, they don't always follow the popular stereotypes.

First thing you should know is, ghosts aren't always tied to a specific location...though some have locations they like to hang out at, they don't seem to be limited to only those places.

Secondly, for the ghosts with a favorite place, it isn't necessarily the place they died at. It could be a place they spent a lot of time at, or had especially good (or bad) memories at, or something.

Thirdly, cemeteries and burial grounds...not really all that packed with ghosts, despite what people think. They're not completely devoid of hauntings, mind, but they aren't the grand central stations of the spirit world, either.

And yes, spirits can become attached to people rather than places, from all reports.

So I'd say you should first try to talk to this spirit of yours and tell it to stop with the pulling-out-of-bed kind of thing. (Unless you want to try capturing it on video first...then you could ask it TO pull you out of bed and see if it cooperates. ) Tell it you're aware that it's there, but it needs to stop with the harassing actions. Guide or no, no spirit has any business laying hands (spectral or not) on your body without your permission, no more than another person has.

If it respects your wishes, you can try to communicate with it to see if it is your DG or not (though it still better have a darn good explanation for being so grabby). If it doesn't...then you've got a hostile spirit you need to deal with.

Bear in mind that hostile does not necessarily mean "evil." I know a lot of "experts" love to slap the "evil" label on unpleasant spirits (or ALL spirits), but I think that's just fear-mongering and does more harm than good. Plenty of live people can be obnoxious jerks without being evil, so I figure dead ones can be, too. True evil is rare.

Still, jerkiness is not something you have to put up with for any reason. You should smudge, or find someone to do a blessing, or check out the self-defense techniques referred earlier in the thread.

Just don't let it intimidate you. According to Robert Bruce (and this dovetails with a lot of details from peoples' real spirit encounters, which is why I take him seriously), you have way more energy than any spirit. Our living, calorie-burning bodies are like huge hydro-electric power plants that we're plugged directly into all the time, while spirits with no body are stuck working with a couple of watch batteries. (This is why some spirits try to leech energy from us, in fact.) So you have more than enough strength to take on take on any bit of ectoplasm with a bad attitude.

(And, of course, make sure your mom knows this, too. Neither of you need to put up with any unwelcome guests.)
