      Questions about OBE ?

My name is daniel, this is my first post on the forum. I have been exploring LD for about 2 years now. However just recently in the past few months i have been attempting OBE's.

The first time I had SP i couldn't move anything but my arms. There was a rope tied to the corner of my bed canopy of which i tried to pull myself up, so i could sit up. there was also an orange orb/ball on top of my canopy hanging kind of low. Another time i had SP the bed sheets were slowly being pulled down off the bed, I had a strong urge to get up and grab the blankets but i couldn't.( both of these accounts were before i knew anything about OBE's or much about SP.)

After educating myself about OBE's and SP I have had more pleasant SP (not scary.) i had the following two accounts. Not sure if they were real OBE's or not?

The first "OBE" experience i was lying on my back, i didnt notice anything in the room that was odd or out of place. but i couldnt move. I tried to wiggle my way to sitting up, which was very difficult (I was very heavy.) I then scooted to the edge of my bed, fell to my knees and tried hard to turn around and look at my body. I remember it being extremely difficult to turn my head and look, but when i did turn my head, i didnt see myself. I saw a heavy impression on my pillow (as if my body was invisible.) I then woke up.

The second "OBE" experience was pretty much the same except this time i notice someone standing at the corner of my bed. he appeared to be shy and was trying to hide behind my canopy post. Realizing that this was SP and he was probably just an illusion or entity, i asked him "help me." He didnt move or do anything so I did exactly what i did last time. The reason i question whether these were OBE's is because (1) I didnt see my physical body, and (2) i was able to speak? This leads me to my questions:

      1. Should we be able to see our physical selves during OBE's? (one theory i have is that maby our subconscious "deletes" the viewing of our physical self's, since we are expecting not to see our bodies? But then why would some people see their bodies and others wouldn't.)

      2. Its a common realization that dogs can sense things such as ghosts and a persons inner spirit (ie good or bad). Is it thus possible for animals (specifically dogs) to see us during OBE's? Do you have any experience with this?

      3. During an OBE are we still getting sleep? Even though our physcial body is lying down, would we still feel restless after OBE'ing all night long?

      4. During SP/OBE are our physical eyes ever open?

A good analogy that Tom Campbell seems to use is computers. I think one person doing an outer-body brings his own Operating System with it. This is the accumulation of concepts and beliefs that shape experience outside a physical frame. Perhaps in some the concept of a body sleeping is necessary while in others this can be tossed more easily and use a more fluent framework.

      2. Its a common realization that dogs can sense things such as ghosts and a persons inner spirit (ie good or bad). Is it thus possible for animals (specifically dogs) to see us during OBE's? Do you have any experience with this?

I had a cat come out and meow in my third eye whilist attempting an outer body. I felt the weight of it's body in my head. I believed it sensed something and came to check it out. It was moving away from our back-yard when I looked outside. I think it depends on the animal's skill. Humans too.

      3. During an OBE are we still getting sleep? Even though our physcial body is lying down, would we still feel restless after OBE'ing all night long?

I think quality of sleep is different. Yes, the body is resting. But our mind is not processing and analyzing experiences. This is ok, if you don't need it. But after a stressfull week a good night of dreaming is just the thing the mind needs to reasess itself in this world.

      4. During SP/OBE are our physical eyes ever open?

Yes. In my experience, if you open ur eyes you will hallucinate things in this world.

Your experiences sound like OBEs or altered states of some variation. In the early stages of one's explorations and development, moving freely out of body can be quite a challenge. As far as seeing your physical body, it is likely that the body that one observes sleeping in bed is actually a nonphysical representation of the body, like the energetic counterpart of the physical matter, and there is a wide range of different dimensions that one can project to and most will not contain this energetic counterpart, as this will only be perceived in realms closest to the physical dimension. Of course, subconscious manifestations are commonplace and belief plays a large role in this, so many sleeping body sightings (or lack thereof) may have something to do with this. Seeing or not seeing the body is not a make or break deal, as there are many factors at play and almost nothing is conclusive.

As far as speaking during OBEs, this is very possible. Of course, it is a nonphysical representation of the thoughts being expressed as audible words as perceived with the nonphysical senses, rather than the actual physical body speaking, so the experience is somewhat different than speaking and hearing one's voice in the physical world. The voice usually sounds distant and has an echo/reverb quality to it, perhaps almost artificial. I used to do this a lot before I dropped the habit and switched to sending thoughts.

As far as the eyes being opened during SP, this doesn't seem likely, as I've never experienced it in 15 years of SP episodes. I've always viewed the room through closed eyelids. It's actually nonphysical visual perception taking place, consciousness viewing a nonphysical version of the world, just slightly removed from the physical dimension, although it is also possible to perceive deeper levels of nonphysical reality from SP, commonly known as astral sight.

      Hello hawk1sr

I have seen my body every time I obe, When I obe i must also return to my body. If you do not see yourself then you are in your own mind experiencing this, I call this astral projecting. The entity at the end of the bed is the entity I am looking for, I call them shadows. You can speak in obe but you do it in the mind. The veil is the veil, it is not in this same frequency or it exists within something else. We are all a little bit sensitive to the veil some more then others, they say young children can sometimes see things others do not, I suppose this goes for animals also. When I enter into obe my body is in sleep paralysis and is as relaxed as it can get. I always sleep better nights I get out. My physical eyes during obe are never open during the experience.

      Hello hawk1sr

I have created a bond with the shadows, this bond allows me to talk with them and to understand them. All of the shadows in the veil are not from this world, I am trying to help them get home. There are also those outside of me that are helping them also. The veil is the place you will end up in when you die. A veil stands between all five dimensions like a buffer between them.

I don't believe hawk knows what you mean by "shadows."

      A shadow is

A shadow is or once was an angel in the way we humans have come to understand angels, minus wings. An angel is born to the veil or the after life they are the first born to worlds to create them, they are born of father and mother. Angels evolve things to become what they are today through a method of templates they hold within them. Humans have two minds also but our higher mind is on top of us not within us. Many years ago angels from many worlds were trapped inside of their second mind and controlled by another soul or possessed by them. The method they used to trap the angels was to put a soul knot within them, this knot was thousands of souls all wrapped around themselves within one treemend or soul container. With in this container they had one soul that could pull all these minds into one soul, this created a weight that pulled them into their second mind. The shadows get this name from me because they have hundreds of souls all outside of themselves like a soul coat that covers their whole body.

Now the purpose of the shadows was to mark certain souls they were looking for. The problem was that when they did this they would place a soul within you and then a copy of that soul within them or something like this, they do this during sleep paralysis. The shadow has these copies within his second mind and found that if he just entered into the copy he was transported into you and into your dreams. When the angel does this the experience is then you and him together this si the slight fog from the experience. It is so cool how they do this I have only gotten to ride this train once.

      So that is shadows
