A strange series of dreams while I was napping.

So, to preface this, this all occurred an hour ago while I was taking a nap before class, and I was sleeping in a student lounge. Normally when I sleep at this lounge or the other student lounge, I find that I dream about actually still being in the lounge, in fact it's usually a false awakening. At first I assumed this was because the sounds around me were reminding me of where I was, but this time it was a little different. This was actually a series of several short dreams, between which I would constantly wake up.

The first dream didn't have me in the lounge, and I don't really remember what it was about, just some random people I know talking. It was pretty short. Something about Disneyland.
In the second dream I was still in the lounge, but outside there was a woman with a microphone rounding up students for some sort of meeting.

In the next dream, my friend Kevin shows up, but I'm very disoriented and tired and can't make him out clearly.

Then the next dream has me actually getting up from the chair I'm sleeping in and going to class, but I do a reality check, I pinch my nose and see if I can breathe, and have a faulse awakening. I then repeat this, but each time getting closer and closer to the classroom after I go lucid, until the dream begins to get interesting.

I start to think that instead of dreaming, I'm exploring some sort of higher plane of existence because of how detailed this dream is. I'm still in the lounge, but now it's altered and different looking, but when I do the RC, it actually nearly fails, maybe because I've been doing it so much. In this reality, there is now a TV in the lounge playing a news story about a space station, and I see two people I don't recognize walk past me. I then turn and see a shelf full of books, one of which I grab and flip to a random page and actually can read it. It's then I wake up.

I don't know what else to say other than there's a reoccurring pattern where, when I fall asleep at my school, I find myself in the same room and everything is very detailed, but it's still somehow different. I'm starting to wonder if I'm seeing other realities or just have a very creative mind.

I think what you say about sounds around you influencing your dreams is most likely what's causing all your dreams being in the lounge. But the dreams seem like normal dreams to me. Perhaps they felt different to you, because it looks like you had more and more awareness in them until you got lucid.

The unusual part was where I had several faulse awakening in a row, in addition to sleep paralysis which seems to only occur at the school. Also I've had "augmented reality" dreams too where I'll be waking up, and hallucinating. For example I've have plenty of experiences on different occasions where I'll be waking up, and there will be a person I recognize sitting next to me, but they will disappear when I fully wake up. This only happens when I sleep at the school, so the sounds around me are clearly having some bizarre effects.

Still, it does feel like I'm seeing a sort of overlay on reality when I wake up, which is hard to fully describe other than augmented reality.

Those are also HH, only this time Hypnopompic - hallucinations when we are waking up.

Often we are already asleep and we have strange HH or dreams, but we could swear we are awake. This is when HH happen during falling asleep period, so called light sleep. When people wake up during this time, they will swear they were not asleep yet.

I have experenced this often when WILDing.

      Faxonboy,

I think it might be helpful to remember that your ordinary waking-life experience is a cartoon-like construct informed by sensory information, not a direct experience of your environment. We often draw conclusions about how 'real' an experience is based on how vivid it is, but those conclusions start to fail when we start dreaming vividly. Even if you were privy to events in a parallel world, your mental dream-story about this would still be 'imagined', even if 'real' information is incorporated into it.

As I see it, our physical world has a kind of coherence to it, a way that it works. Our imagined worlds usually fall short of that kind of coherence - they break down if you analyze them persistently enough. They have a sort of pseudo-reality in that they're connected to our thoughts, and sometimes have the potential become real in limited ways. But they're not actual other-places in the same way that the physical world is.
