Sounds good, |

Well, after some searching, I did manage to find out some information about astral projection (OBEs). Most of the information came from sites that looked like they were straight out of 1997 and reeked of sketchiness. But once I found some reliable sources, I found out that the "Rope Method" is a popular AP (Astral Projection) induction technique. |

This is the date of my first lucid: 3/6/2010
It took WAY TOO LONG - but was completely worth it.
Sounds good, |

i'll try this technique tonight |
|
That sounds great, I've never had an OBE and it sounds a bit scary actually. I might try it :/ |
|
You don't need it to make it work. You just need to know where your "rope" is located. |

Sounds cool, I've never tried to do this, not even a WILD, so I have a few questions. |

Fyodor Dostoevsky Notes From the UndergroundA dream! What is a dream? And is not our life a dream?
Sorry if this is kinda off topic, but would you be able to see other people's astral projections if you have one? |

The "Rope Method" if i am not mistaken is just an easy way to produce the vibrations, just like falling sensations will do. This is a very popular method and it is really easy, but it takes a long time. If you are not properly hydrated you will get cotton mouth and you will be unconfortable, so you will not be relaxed and yada yada. Anyway though, good idea bringing this to this site. |

How interesting, I shall also try it. |

LD Task(s):
- To give birth to a baby.
I've tried it a few times before, no ap though. What I did find out is that the rope technique is a fast way for me to get into a deep trance. |
|
Is there anything that could go wrong when you're having an OOBE? |

I think Ill try this :] |

how do you define wrong? If you mean by not being able to wake up or being attacked, guess the probability does exist, as it does for everything. |

Ok, thanks |

This seems tight, I have a question, is there a difference between AP, and Lucid Dreaming? |
|
Ok, that's a little confusing, AP is being outside your body...so then it's a dream, right? |
|
But you're not dreaming. |

LD's : 6 DEILD : 1 WILD : 0 DILD 5
...what?? How is that possible? |
|
The concept of astral projection assumes the existence of another body, separate from the physical body and capable of traveling to non-physical planes of existence. |

I've tried the rope technique before. I got vibrations, numbness and a weird feeling like I was turning, quickly compared to any other method. The only problem is that when I got these feelings I got too excited and stopped climbing the rope. |
|
The only time I've actually had an OBE was due to SP... Opposed to LD's it was as clear as reality is, and I had a firm body, the same clothes as I was sleeping in, and I didn't know I was dreaming. So yes, it is in a way different than LD's. However, after a while it became less lucid, and was more like a mediocre LD. I flipped off a clip and woke up. |
|
I think I might freak out seeing my physical body just laying there lifeless, just sounds creepy |

I never saw mine... I thought I was awake, so I just left the room. |
|
I can get the feeling on nonphysical arms climbing the rope, but just can't detach my head and torso to get free of my body. |
