What would it be like to be a lucid dreamer who once had vision and then through some tragic accident, went blind? After a while, I would suppose you'd know you were dreaming SOLELY when you were able to see!
So I propose an experiment I'm going to do later this year... I'm curious if anyone will want to join me. (It means no DV for a month, though!)
I'm going to blindfold my self for a 30 days. I will be able to save the money for it in advance no problem. I plan on getting an audio recorder in order to make daily journal entries and then I want to turn the entire experiment into a book, half a section for waking life, and half a section for my dreams.
What do you imagine your dreams would be like after being blind for a week? What do you imagine your recall would be like when all the "images" you associated with your brain in recent times you could say indisputably came from your dreams?
I believe I could learn an awful lot about my self through this experiment... I've always considered my dreams a vital extension of my reality.
I think this would do wonders to your recall and could teach us an awful lot about our dreams and ourselves. (Not to mention give us a renewed appreciation for our eyes.)
Would anyone be interested in trying this some time themselves? I hope to get a few people interested and then all share feedback with each other. It'll probably be about 6 months before I undertake it my self.
