Angry It's trying to kill me.

My name is Aleea... I am 16. Every since 15 i've been going through this.

      Almost everynight.

I can't move, it feels like I'm breathing through a straw, I'm gasping for air, trying to shout.

I KNOW for a FACT something is there trying to etheor kill me or take my soul.

I'm not crazy... I'm a regular highschool teenage girl..

I can feel energy being sucked out of me...

When I would b able to finally break free, I would b out of breath.Sore as if I just got out of a physical fight.

It's nothing scientific... It's not cuz I'm sleeping a certain way.. And I'm 100% healthy...

      The worst time..

Was when I was in Atl, on vK.. I awakend, couldent move or shout like ussaul.

But this time I saw a black diamond shaped shadow hovering my chest, I DIDENT feel I cold chill..

      But

I could feel it trying to kill me.. This time I couldent breath AT ALL

I could feel it trying to burn my insides..

Now I know that shit sounds crazy but I'm fuching serious.

It felt like the black shadow stuck something straight into my chest.. I felt my body temperture rise and rise.. It felt like my blood was boiling.. Even tho it wasent.. That's just how hot it felt..

Then it went away so fast. I jumped up

I started to cry, I don't know what to do or what the fuck that shit is!

I ran to my brothers room and stayed awake the rest of the night..

It tryed to burn my soul out of me.

I'M NOT dreaming. I can tell when I'm AWAKE or SLEEP or inbetween bullshit.

      Why me?

Moved to Beyond Dreaming on the insistence that there is something inhuman trying to kill you.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

      ... ¬_¬ *sigh*

It's called SP - Sleep paralysis. It's pretty common and what you have described is just symptoms of it. It's all in the mind... I get it pretty much every night, and no it's not pleasant.

Such examples of experiences I have felt during SP are as follows:

      -Vibrations
      -Feeling of floating
-Rush of wind going past me
      -Being on fire
      -Evil presense in the room
-Having someone sit on my chest.
      -Having someone strangle me
-Being forced apart limb from limb
      -Pain in back and neck
      -Out of body experience
      -Whispers
      -Shouts
This list is not exaustive... there are many more things that may happen during an episode of SP.

Please read the forums if you want to know anymore about this.

Such things to search for are as follows:

SP, Sleep Paralysis, HI, WILD, OBE.

It sounds like a cross between sleep paralysis and sleep apnea... or something
When does this usually happen and what are you doing at the time? Is it as you're going to sleep? Are you thinking about anything in particular when this happens? More details would be really helpful.

You're not alone in this. As everyone has mentioned, read up a bit on Sleep Paralysis.

I used to get it real bad, so I know it can be horrifying. Unlike most sleep specialists or doctors who will call it a sleep disorder and give you medication to get rid of it, I think it is a blessing. It can be an awesome gateway into lucid dreaming, and better understanding your own mind. The Sleep Paralysis I get now, is self induced through Wake Initiated Lucid Dreaming (WILD). While the content can still be bizarre or nightmarish, the knowledge that it is natural, safe, and all in my mind makes it exhilarating and enjoyable.

It comes and goes.... Like I'll have it everynight for a week.. Then it won't happen again till a month later.. Or sometimes I'll have it like 20 times n 1 night.. N it won't occur again till 2 months... No trend in occurrance..

Sometimes it happens when I'm REALLY sleepy and dozing off to sleep..., other times it happens in the middle of the night...

      It's 2 differnt feelings tho.

When I'm really sleepy and it happens it feels like something is forcing me into a deep sleep.. Like pulling me.. Forcefully... Not just laying there and casually falling asleep.

I understand science has it's own way of explaining it.., but I don't understand y every1 who gets it almost feels like there is something EVIL in the room that's trying to get u.... It dosent make sence... Y would our minds... All create that specific feeling of a evil presence?

      It dosent add uP.

Why not try to kill it before it kills you? Perhaps thinking happy thought? Or making fun of it? Something that evil has to have been made evil. All evil comes from some sort of suffering, exploit it for what you think it is.

Or just force your courage and "sit" your ground. Try to take what it gives you and see what happens.

On a couple of occasions I felt that evil presence too while in SP. It's natural to be terrified even when you do know what it truly is.

The best example I can link it with real life is when I was scared to be anywhere alone with my back out in the open. I always felt like something was watching me, so that was why I slept with my back against a wall. The more you think about it the more real it seems.

Perhaps being unable to move during sleep paralysis invokes this feeling as it is a time of insecurity (as I was when I was alone)? It probably helped our ancestors from getting eaten alive in the jungles.

I realize that science sometimes only tries to explain certain things, and it becomes apparent when you are the one who experiences the paranormal. No one can tell you what it right and wrong. The best answer is the one you come to yourself.

      Hey Aleea!

My girlfriend has the same exact thing as you. And a lot of people are just saying SP. Or they're rude about it and say the devil is getting you >_>..

So i'll give you some info. Unfortunately I can't give you advice other than try your best to relax that's what my girl friend does.

What you have is Hypnagogia, Basically what it is. Is when you enter REM(Rapid Eye Movement) atonia sets in to early(BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP YOU GET THIS PARAYLZE OR SEE A SHADOW FIGURE) or even better before you wake up(YOU GET PARALYZED OR SEE A SHADOW FIGURE).

That is caused by Hypnagogia, Now let me explain the shadow figure to you.

Hypnagogia Hallucinations can cause you to see anything. My girlfriend(And myself I have had this) usually sees Spiders. Today she actually said she was laying down and closed her eyes for two minutes(I say she fell asleep =]) and woke up and saw a spider and tried to squeesh it. But it wasn't there. The only way it dissapeared is if she attacked it or turned the lights on.

Let me explain why you can't breathe or move.

During rem the body is paralyzed and you can't move. That is why you feel like you are being crushed or can't breathe.

But in all you can be 100% healthy and still have this, Stress can cause this. If you want a spiritual point of view get some herbal stuff from chinese websites they help the neural system.

Scientific is go to a doctor and talk about a sleep disorder with them.

But you are fine no one will kill you - Promise =].

Good luck if you have any questions pm me.

I agree that it sounds like SP I suffer from this and thought I was being spiritually attacked for a long time. Now I just try to let go when I relies I can't move. I drift of to sleep and I know that I am not in any danger anymore but if I feel I am I try pray out loud- which is hard because you can't talk but sometimes that brings me out of it. Often I find though that if I fight my way out of it when I start to drift off again I'm right back where I just fought so hard to get out of. If you really are scared and want to break the paralization(I can't spell) two things I noticed have also done it for me. Try to wiggle your toes and just concentrate on that. Sometimes that brings me out and another is concentrating on the middle of my forehead. It has something to do with a a third eye- don't ask me about this I have no idea I just know that it has worked for me. You need to relax next time this happens because the harder you struggle and more panicked you become the more you hyperventilate. You aren't in danger, your body will snap out of it. I cut down on my caffeine and cut out mind altering substances especially anything that disrupts your normal sleeping pattern like keeps you away or stops me from dreaming. The amount of SP episodes I have now has been cut in half.

      I agree with shanpoo.

You can also leave your leg over the bed. And if ANYTHING moves during the REM when you are awake(Before going to sleep or after waking up) you will get knocked out of it.

When I notice my gf is in it she breathes heavy and I just lift her arm up or slap her in the face LOL jk but if I pick her up she wakes up.

She usually leaves her leg off the bed. or close enough for it to fall off of.

Sorry to double post but I have theory on why we feel an evil presence or see these images- When we become aware that we cannot move wouldn't some primal part of our mind become acutely aware of the danger we were in because of our inability to move? Not real danger now safe in our bed in a protective house but to a primal man it would have been life threatening with who knows what stalking around right outside his cave. So maybe the hallucinations, sounds and feelings of dread are an emergency chemical response from our brains forcing a sudden rush of adrenaline attempting to shock us in consciousness? Just a thought. Chew on it and spit it back lol.

It's the devil! He got me too, but its okay now, as it turns out we have common interests.
Do not try and bend the dream. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realise the truth.
      There is no dream.
Then you'll see, that it is not the dream that bends, it is only yourself.

      I like that explanation.

When I had SP when I was younger, I didn't get any evil presence accompanying it. I felt rather calm actually. I just couldn't move. In that state, I could not get out of SP and just ended up going back to sleep.

Recently though, my experiences with SP have been that my head is under the covers and I can't breathe (my head really is under the covers, but I'm pretty sure I can actually breathe). This causes me to panic and I break out of it.

EVIL! Listen up: I have helped many people in your boat get through this. And the funny thing is that 90% of them are teenagers.

Evil is a projection of your mind. It is convincing. But basically you are panicking because you don't understand what is going on! This is not a disorder!!! This is a blessing. You are sensitive and a natural for lucid dreaming. You just need to understand that your mind is projecting this EVIL feeling. I know. Many of us know. We've all experienced it. Face it without fear. Laugh in its face and tell it that you know it is part of your mind. Don't worry if you can move or not. If you see things it is OK no matter what it is.

I pass through this same space that you are describing at least once a week on purpose. I am not afraid of evil because I know it is just my mind. It is like watching a cheesey horror movie for me.

You are young and you don't realize the power of your mind to play tricks on you. There is nothing outside of you trying to get you. It is just your mind acting out your fears.

This is NOT a disorder! You are just being conscious of what happens every night in your sleep and you are projecting fear onto it. Do not seek to get rid of these 'symptoms' but rather embrace them and transform them. You will become a powerful dreamer. Medications given by doctors will mess with your brain chemistry.

Come to terms with what power you think evil has over you, and realize that you are the most powerful being in your life. EMPOWER THYSELF and RELAX, TAKE A DEEP BREATH. Everything os OK

      PS.

Before you go to sleep visualize that you are surrounded in white light. Build a cacoon of white light around yourself. Let the magnetic energy of the earth come up around you and the electric energy of the sky to come down and mix. You are surrounded in white light. Nothing Evil from outside can get you.

I should've told you this at first.

WHITE LIGHT IS THE REMEDY. Visualize white pentacles (five pointed star) facing each direction (east, south, west, north, above, and below) nothing evil may enter.

The fear and panic you're experiencing is just an instinctual fear of the unknown, which flavors how you see things, making them frightening.

If it's been trying to kill you since you were a young child, and hasn't succeeded yet, I'd say you don't have much to worry about.

As for the feeling of having your soul ripped out, was there any chance a sickening slowness that was involved those experiences? Because I've had something that feels like your soul being ripped out. The only explanation for that I like is encountering energy that moves at a different speed than we are accustomed to.

If that sounds anything like what you're experiencing, you might want to check out this thread. http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=29794

My eyes are always closed when i have SP but i always hear scratching sounds. I find SP pretty relaxing, just lay back and enjoy it even if it is evil. The last time i woke up to SP i thought in my head "i wanna struggle" so i kept moving as best as i could to no avail just to get a rush. Of course this aint SP but i once saw a blanket of darkness try and cover me when i was laying in bed, it froze me for 1 second because it appeared out of nowhere.
