Hey everyone,
I was into lucid dreaming for a few months about 1-2 years ago, had about 15-20 LDs but never got too into it. About a week ago I had a strange dream experience.
I went to sleep in my apartment with the TV on; I woke up 2-3 hours later and turned the TV off. Throughout this period I would wake up for a few minutes (and briefly remembered my last dreams) and fall back asleep. After waking up from a dream I distinctly remember walking up to a window and closing the blinds. However, later in the night, I woke up and sleep paralysis hit me before I went back to sleep. At first it was just regular SP (never thought it was that scary) for a few minutes. Then I was able to move around for a bit, slightly freaked out, before SP hit me again (is that supposed to happen?).
Anyways, during the second wave of SP someone was in my apartment. He started at the doorway and walked over directly in front of me. The person proceeded to bend down and breathe into my face (I was fucking scared, I tried so many ways to get myself to move), walked around the room, repeated, and then disappeared. I sat up in my bed, looked out the window (referenced earlier) and saw 4 people laying down in my backyard. They all slowly started standing up, so I went into panic mode. I told myself 'I must be dreaming' so I formed my hand in to a gun to shoot whatever came out at the mysterious people. Since this wasn't working, I turned on my TV and the light from the screen made it impossible to see outside.
After this I watched two episodes of Family Guy before finally falling back asleep. The next morning someone knocked on the door, and I was still freaked out because I literally jumped out of bed.
This felt 100x as real as any LD I have ever had, and felt different. Has anyone had an experience where they experience dream-like hallucinations while awake? (no I was not on any drugs, no I am not schizo )
