Thanks for reading the long journal DawnEye11! Yes, clothes and dreams never seem to do what you want them to do. I told my wife about my ball of light dream, and she looked over her bifocals at me, paused, and then continued typing. Lol, she's not too interested in hearing about all these crazy things I try while dreaming. I think lucid dreaming's a blast!
In this next dream I became lucid (DILD - not sure why), and I jumped over a stone railing into a courtyard using the ‘Superman’ position, but I didn’t fly. Instead I fell about 30 feet and crashed hard into the ground. I don’t remember what happened after this, but I do remember thinking that maybe I wasn’t dreaming. Funny how you started having doubts afterwards. He looked and acted exactly the same as in the waking world. “Oh, hi! How are you?”, and replied, “I’m doing good! Let’s go off and explore!” I said, “We’re sharing a lucid dream.”, and he quickly replied, “I know.” I couldn’t help but notice that he was butt naked, so I looked down to see if I had clothes on, and I did (blue jeans and T-shirt), so I said, “Hey, why don’t you have clothes on?” He looked down totally shocked, and said, “I don’t know why?” Its cool that you guys could meet each other. Also, I couldn't help but laugh at how awkward this was. In this next dream I met homeless man Paul : D I remember that dream. Its nice you got to meet him again. When my wife saw the ball of light she started to freak out and jump around while making screeching sounds. Maybe you should give her something so she won't be so distracted with the ball of light. ^^
Thanks DawnEye11 and Jadegreen for checking this out!
She stopped by the kitchen table and faced me. She distorted her mouth, and her teeth went all crooked and missing. I began to think that maybe she was scared of me. I floated up to her, and she grabbed a knife off the table and stuck it up to the handle into my stomach. I didn’t feel anything, except some slight pressure, but my feelings were hurt. I guess I shouldn’t go floating behind somebody in a dark house (I must have been real freaky looking/acting). Maybe she thought you were a ghost. Regardless this is a very cool/creepy moment. Laugh, laugh, giggle, giggle! When my daughter was a child I use to say to her, “Where’s the button? I want to nibble on that button!” then I would chase her, as she frantically ran away screaming, until I caught her and kissed her button, then she would always giggle. lol that's cute. I can see why you enjoy meeting up with her in dreams so much. I then went into a false awakening, and I wanted to voice record my lucid dream with my daughter before I forgot the details, but then I realized I was dreaming because I was outside on the street with my coffee table in front of me. I forced myself awake, but I went into another false awakening, and then another one... I hate it when this happens.
Thanks KonchogTashi and DawnEye11 for checking this out! Oh, yes I searched rogue too, and it didn't seem to suit him cause he seemed like a good guy to me.
What a fun dream~ ^w^ Just reading it makes me excited to dream. Also, since you know what a spirit is maybe you should have just searched for the definition of rogue.
Rogue spirit is very interesting. Once again, an amazing dream! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Verre! I was surprised how it played out, and what I said, nothing there was planned.
He said, “I’m spirit Martin.”, so I introduced myself and I replied with little thought, “I’m a lucid dreamer from the physical world.” He seemed very surprised at what I said, and then he shook my hand with gratitude. He then said, “I’m a rogue spirit from Heaven.” This was such a great round of introductions! I love how accepting you all were of one another.
Thanks DawnEye11, Yes, it was good I continued on with the dream!
^ w ^ Having people around naturally makes us feel more safe. If there was no one on the streets it would be kind of creepy. Also,Its great that you got to see your daughter twice and all the wonderful sculptures that were in her room. Good thing you chose to continue on with the dream.
Hi DawnEye!!, thanks for commenting! The obstacles made it fairly interesting. Yes, try that barrel roll!
You had many obstacles in your way in this dream. But Its great you were still able to have fun with it. : D Next time i'm in the void i will do a barrel roll.xD
Yes, totally agree KonchogTashi! It's like primordial instincts kick in while in a low awareness lucid state, and as awareness improves, you ask yourself, "What the heck did I just do, and why did I do that?" Like last night I grabbed a fish (bass) out of the water, and put it in a vice to squish it, then I became more aware, and I quickly stopped what I was doing before I hurt the little bugger. If I'm regular dreaming, I'm harmless, if I'm in high lucidity, I'm harmless, but there's this little period in between that I'm struggling with.
Tihiti: I similarly try to keep my dreams relatively "PG", but I have pretty low awareness in most of my LDs at this point. I seem to have 1 of two reactions to lucidity in most dreams: 1 spontaneously fly into the sky and sing prayers, OR beat up some poor DC, or accost some female DC. I am happy that I caught my strong instinct to violence as it was occurring last time it came up in a LD and rather than hitting the DC told him that I loved him. I think these "automatic" or instinctual reactions to lucidity are just my low awareness and sleep impaired mind playing out. I'm sure l be more conscious & in control with more experience.
Hi KonchogTashi, Thanks for the reading my dream journal and for the compliment! Since my daughter started appearing in my dreams I've decided to avoid all sexual, violent, and greed/possessive behaviors, and focus on more suitable and friendly dreams. It's actually worked out well for both lucid and non-lucid dreams, but it's been a real challenge, believe me. Counting really works well. I'll have to try sharply clapping, never tried that before!
Hi Keitorin, I was expecting her to fly with me, she's very outgoing. Thanks for reading my journal!
Thanks again for sharing these very personal dreams. They are powerful reading and a definite inspiration to continue through the difficulties of dream practice. These dreams really speak to me the wonder and beauty of dreaming so much more than cartoon adventures, etc.. Also, I will try to implement the counting tech. sounds like an easy calming/stabilization method. I use hand rubbing and it works pretty well, but I am noob so I think I just have to persevere through many short LDs until I build up experience. I have found sharply clapping my hands adds a lot of clarity and vividness to LDs.
BUTT WIPES!!
I love how your mom reacted to you wanting to go fly with her.
