What is it about certain dreams that make them reminiscent of virtual reality to you?

From what I can gather, Krista plays a lot of video games. So perhaps when she says that she is in a VR, she is actually referencing the fact that the world she is in look like a video game world. That, or perhaps she is referencing the fact that she thinks that what she is experiencing is a VR simulation, and therefore this is not a part of life. I've had both of these instances occur to me.
The one about the game world is actually kind of disappointing to have happen, because it detracts from the full vividness of the dream, but the one where you state that you are aware that this is not WL, and think its A VR simulation is actually a kind of mock lucidity.

What is it about certain dreams that make them reminiscent of virtual reality to you? I've had dreams that take place in VR as well but there's usually a "slipping on the Oculus Rift" moment that precedes them.

BTW, have you had the chance to try any of the current-gen VR stuff? It's nice!

Those close calls are such a great sign! Just keep lucid dreaming on your mind as much as you can and it's totally going to work.

In fact, here we are talking about lucid dreaming. This could be a dream. After all, you're going to spend a decent chunk of your day dreaming... you sure that's not happening right now?

Canis- Honestly, I haven't really thought about it. In many NLDs, I am telekinetic and don't think twice about it; it's not weird in the dream at all. In this particular case, I was almost lucid because on the pain and numbness in my hand and the fact that it wasn't bleeding. That should have been my lucid trigger, and it almost was!

That's hilarious! Well, probably not for the poor guy who got eaten, but good stuff for the readers. I agree with JadeGreen, very video gamey. (At least I'm assuming the 8-bit dream was about gaming!) If this scene took place in an 8-bit RPG, they'd have definitely word-bubbled you into the inner workings of the beast's mind.

I also enjoyed your relief at having a temperature of "3.35". Well that settles this whole "fever" drama, doesn't it? Back to work!

Then something about Kermit the Frog and the football stadium. He had gotten everyone together for something, either a game or some kind of pep rally

I don't think I have one. I've tried multiple time to, but nothing happens. I have met someone who claims to be my spirit guide, however. I'll get you a couple of links to the DJ entries if you're interested.

I've been wondering, do have you ever met your dream guide?

I was playing this open-world online game where you could pick your character. I was some small either blue or purple fox-like character playing with another one that was either blue or purple, whichever color I wasn't. We were running around in this field, doing some platforming and stuff. We did this for quite awhile. My character would sometimes say something in a feminine voice, like gameplay tips or something.

I like how much gaming you get to do in your dreams! I'm always wishing that I could fit more into waking life, but I think you've found a prety good solution for that.

I approached another window and focused my energy, similar to my last dream, and screamed. The high vibrations shook and then shattered the glass. It was satisfying.

Do you find yourself using more dream superpowers as you edge closer to lucidity like in this case?

It happens pretty often in dreams where I'm angry. Either I feel like I'm punching through water no matter how much force I put behind the punch, or I'm trying to yell and I barely have a voice. It's really frustrating. -_-;

I was then leaving the room and was really mad still. I tried to punch a wall, but it was like punching through water and I couldn't hit it hard enough.

Okay I read it it was even better than I imagined.

I was walking through the long, drying grass and rocks embedded in the ground, now trying to avoid these moving blue blobs that were actually tiny individual bugs acting as a single entity. They looked like blue mold or moss sliding across the rocks. I then came across some clear stones with blue flecks in them. Very pretty! I thought about reading down to grab one, but wasn't sure if there were more blue blob bugs hidden anywhere close. I kept walking and seeing more of the pretty stones. I thought that they probably weren't natural, but man made.

This part was really cool.

I'm glad my dreams bring the lolz. It makes me happy to know my crazy mind brings you joy. XD

Thanks! I'm working really hard to keep it up! It's easier now that all I have is work and not work and school like I did a couple of years ago. It makes it so much easier to keep it up.

Screwing Up in a Repeat Class, and Practicing Writing on Cakes

Right? I'd like to know myself. If you have any ideas, let me know! My guess, in this case in particular, is lessons in life that I need a refresher on, or I need to revisit them because I didn't understand them the first time around. This is the second dream I've had in the past month or so about having to repeat classes.
