*Hey wait a second; I’m an old, fat man, what’s wrong with this scene* Its funny how you question if you are in a dream because of that. Also, I like how you like to stay faithful to your wife even if it is a dream. X3
Good thinking to interview the seductress and trying to learn more about dream figures! I find that it's a lot of fun to ask DCs these kinds of questions. I find that they're often at their best and most intelligent when you give them this kind of attention and interest. Sometimes their cleverness can be stunning! I also like your preparation steps before meeting your daughter. I'd not thought of how much sense it makes to really amp up dream vividness right before these special moments so you and the dream world can be on the best possible terms before things get started.
Oh man, what a cool OBE artifact! I've heard of lucid dreamers creating their own portals as a means of teleportation, but it's really cool how you had one not only fully formed at the start of the dream but with snow coming out of it to hint at where it led. Now that's good stuff! But I have one tip... next time you portal to a ski slop, try to wear more than just your tighty-whities! And yeah, DawnEye11, cool to hear that you had an experience like this too! I'd also like to hear what happened. I'd love to have this happen spontaneously for me one of these nights!
Do you go thru the portal too?
I can remember three times when a portal like that opened when I at first couldn't move and was on my bed in the dream. Its awesome how it took you to a ski slope and congrats on the new experience.
Thanks for reading this and the comment! I've seen dream figures appear out of nowhere, walk through walls, and also rise up through the floor from sleep, but never slowly materialize in front of me. First time is always a buzz, but the second time will be a charm. I think the fear comes from not knowing what the heck is going on.
Lol Canis, That's funny Ha! The hug idea slipped my mind so instead, my 8-legged friend, you get the shotgun. This shows how extreme our emotions can get while lucid. It's a good thing we don't act like this in the waking world!
Nice, Tihiti, what a happy ending! Most mornings that begin with lucid disappointment and a mouthful of leaves don't turn out nearly so well! I love how regularly you're able to connect with your daughter. These encounters are so sweet! It was amusing that you stumbled in on her "getting dressed" into a visible body. I've had this happen on very, very rare occasions with the dream scene itself but I've never seen an individual DC forming up this way. Sounds a little scary but really cool too. Congratulations on the great lucid! (And the hug!)
Normally I would have hugged the spider and turned it into something beautiful, but I panicked and used the shotgun Ha! The hug idea slipped my mind so instead, my 8-legged friend, you get the shotgun. Really cool encounter with Robin Williams and not at all like how I was expecting things to unfold! It's a Robin Williams dream, so I wasn't anticipating shotguns, giant spiders, or Tihiti displaying Jet Li-like abilities to disassemble firearms in the blink of an eye. Cool LD!
Thanks Dawn, I can't believe the direction some of these dreams end up going!
ROFL I find it hilarious how Robin Williams tried to get the spider but was so bad at aiming that he almost shot you. Its a good thing you took the gun away from him. Hugging the spider sounds like a nice idea. : D
You're welcome Tashi, I hope other lucid dreamers, who are have loved ones that have passed, can find some sort of peace in their dreams too. There's nothing worse than having your child pass, and being separated. I pray everyday that we can connect regularly, and they've been answered much more than I thought possible.
Thanks Jade for reading! I'm going to try counting again. Maybe I'm on to something for linter lucids.
These family dreams are really beautiful. Thanks again man!
As a father of two daughters, this dream is profoundly beautiful thanks for sharing something so personal.
By this point I had counted just past 60. I’ve never tried counting before to keep my lucidity, but I have to say, it works really well! Gotta give this a go. I was thinking to myself, man, you guys sure know how to bore a lucid dreamer to death. Bwahaha! I've felt that way about DCs before. Cool dream.
Thanks again, I've asked my niece to journal her LD for me. I'll also ask her if I can add it to this string.
Another beautiful dream, Tihiti! It would be interesting to trade notes with your niece. Canis voiced my thoughts exactly in the comment above - I always enjoy the peaceful nature of your dreams. It's really special that you can use lucid dreaming for such meaningful purposes.
Once again, I'm inspired by what a positive purpose you turn your lucid dreaming toward. It shows a profound appreciation for how special lucid dreaming is. There's a sense of peace and gratitude in your LDs that I really enjoy and hope I pick up on!
Wow, thanks for reading this! My mom, sister, and niece are all natural LDers. We've only recently started to talk about it. Since my daughter passed I've pursued this with keen interest for obvious reason. I've had to change my LD habits immensely to remove fear, violence, and anything else not conducive to a safe atmosphere for my daughter to be present. That's the hardest part. Thanks!
