I wish I had your recall! Oh my goodness! Not to mention you are an excellent writer.
Oh my god, I had no idea... I'm not sure if I should be amused or alarmed that this is a thing! Update: Okay, I submitted. That researcher seems reliable... I think I actually own some of his books. Thanks for the link!
You can submit your trump dreams into this website: Dreaming about Donald Trump? I don't know if they have concluded the research since the election, but this link talks about the research and some of the findings Dreams of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump || Dream Research & Education
Love how you use D&D spells for dream control, very cool. (I'm a fan of using Baleful Polymorph on my enemies ) Also grats on the TOTY completion.
It occurs to me that the odd fact that my dream unicorn was roan might have some deeper significance. When I was in third grade I once used the word "roan" in an essay. The teacher marked it wrong, which gave me the opportunity to use a dictionary to demonstrate to her that "roan" was a perfectly legitimate word to describe the color of some horses. I never forgot that tiny triumph.
Hopefully your fairies will be more cooperative!
That was really fun to read so I'll bet is was really great for you! I love fairies so I could only hope to have one appear for me in a lucid.
Boy I know how that feels. I've tried soooo hard to bring Solas into my dreams somehow. :/ But then as I just let things happen by itself. Now He appears in my dreams occasionally. Apparantly he doesn't like being forced. Lol xD
haha Michael J Fox as your dream guide? very nice.
, so I begin circling over the site, breaking the buildings and bashing them down. "Your gonna have a bad time." Undertale Jokes aside, It must have been fun being a dragon. Congrats on completing the task.
Thanks! It might be fun to try to turn this into an actual poem at some point.
Quite a profound theme, and lovely to read your poetic descriptions.
Ozymandias was a villain in the DC comics and the movie "Watchmen" who wanted to save humankind through the fear of destruction if I understood it right.
i loved how you describe doing the RC and then allowing the dream to get its colours its always inspiring for me to see how dreamers dream
Thank you, it's good to be back, both here at DV and in the dreamspace. It used to be that I would always lose lucidity when plot became a distraction, but happily this has been getting better with practice. For years I felt like I wasn't making any real progress with LDing because induction and dream control are still so erratic, but over time I've noticed that at least now when I get lucid I can maintain it for longer periods with a lot less effort than before... which is nice! I'll definitely credit DV with this. Having a community and especially the shared goals provided by the TOTMs has been a wonderful way to stay motivated and excited about LDing over the long term!
I'm glad to see you back, Verre! Your DJ entries are always so beautifully written, and your detailed descriptions make it easy to imagine the dream scenes. I love how relaxed you were as you slid along in the building, enjoying your dream snacks. What a cute and unexpected turn of events with your catbird fish! I like the name too, they did have beaklike mouths after all. Haha, I admire your perseverance with the quarters at the end. Your recall is so impressive, and it's great that you can choose to follow the dream plot without losing lucidity. Congrats on the TotM and this amazing dream!
Thanks! It was an intense few weeks. Lots of good times but also some very frustrating airport experiences!
Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time!
Hi there I am a newbie checking out DJ's of folk around and noticed your Ritual: befor each entry Could you share what it is/how much time you spend onit or when etc or any other glimpses into what it is here that helps you do your LDing
So you're saying it was a certain kind of mental tension, not relaxation, that helped your recall on that occasion? Precisely! Very strange indeed. I like your analogy to muscle flexing, perhaps this is what I did, flexed the right brain area so to speak. Must try to replicate that after one of these empty headed wakes. Apart from that, I agree that relaxation works really well for recall. I also have good results if I meditate right after waking up. Helps bring back quite a few details. I use a sort of gazing meditation usually.
