Wow, very cool how natural it's becoming for you to summon your spirit guide now! Already in just the past couple of dreams it's gotten easier and easier and you're learning more about the roles he can play in your dreams. Yeah, the assisted stabilization was really cool too. I mean, it makes sense that if you can stabilize by rubbing your hands together or touching other parts of the dream, that he can also reach out and touch you to have the same effect, but it's so much cooler this way. Good stuff, I'm excited to see where this takes you!

Remembering dialogue is a weak point of mine, and it's something I've been trying to work on. I'm glad I'm not the only one with that problem! It's frustrating, because I know so many awesome, interesting things were said. There's gotta be a way to improve this. What's the distinction between a Dream Guide and a Spirit Guide? Honestly, I am not positive as to what the difference is. My best guess would be that a dream guide is someone whose purpose is to guide you through your dreams and your dream world, someone that has an "agreement" to do this with you in this life (I'm getting all metaphysical here, but it's what I believe and how I interpret it); I do not believe I made such an agreement. A spirit guide is like a guardian angel who watches over you and helps you over the course of your life, dreaming and waking. I have been searching for years for a dream guide, but I have never found one. I believe that I needed to tap into this myself, be my own dream guide, if you will. If you haven't, take a look at my last lucid; it was just a couple of entries ago. It has a good example of what happens when I try to summon a dream guide. If you want some more examples, I have a lot of old DJ entries I can link you to. I'd be happy to share them with you if you're interested. In short, all the times I asked for a dream guide, I always got nothing, or I was lead into just waking up by DCs or entities. But in my last LD, the one a couple of nights ago, I asked for both my dream guide (got nothing) and my spirit guide, and I met him. He took the form of my husband in that dream. I was quite intrigued with it all. There was more to our conversation than what I have posted, but I do not remember all of it, especially in the first dream where I was speaking to my husband about past lives. There was a ton of dialogue that I can't recall, I just remember generally what was said. Thankfully, I remembered more about the conversation with my guide. Yay, congrats on the lucid! I was barefoot; I could feel the hot pavement underneath my feet. Being barefoot is nice. It's a nice feeling to walk on cold or warm surfaces, but more importantly since you're continuously engaging your sense of touch, I find that it also helps a great deal with stability. I was quite intrigued by what happened when I asked to meet my spirit guide. This is going to need some further investigation for sure. Nice! I'm looking forward to hear more about this. Yeah, what struck me here is that at the outset of the dream your husband acted a lot like my wife does in my LDs: a friendly character, but not remotely interested in my lucid dreaming and often actively trying to pull me into some other dream plot. Interesting! Very cool that we have similar experiences. Then when the spirit guide version of your husband showed up, though, it was an entirely different demeanor. And the (I assume) more typical DC version of your husband was still hanging around off to the side. Yeah, it was like night and day. What I did not mention in my entry was that I felt that he was still following me after awhile, even though I did not see him following me. He was a persistent presence, instead of those characters that disappear when you stop focusing your attention on them. This struck me as interesting, even inside the dream. Okay, Amazon pointed me toward a copy of DOOM 3 for Xbox and a sexy knit top for dancers. I knew that I should have specified Super Nintendo!! I love it. I love that you actually did a search. I lol'd for real.

Seriously, though, congratulations on the lucid! Wow, sounds like a nice, long one with lots of great content. Awesome dream control on the deforestation portion! I was oddly relieved to find that the girl who got glued to the car turned out okay in the end. The idea of your husband being your spirit guide is perfect if you think about it. He's probably a super-frequent DC in your dream world and if he's not around, I'd think easier than average to summon. If you expect him to be the spirit guide version of himself, I'll bet you'll be right! We had ordered a game online, and it had come in the mail. I think it was a SNES game. I was opening the package, and the game had come with some skimpy hot pink and black Playboy pajamas, complete with bunny ears. Okay, this sounds like the most awesome vendor ever!
