The Inner Workings of a Sound Addict

This is my strangest dream in a long time, and it seems my recall is slowly improving again, thankfully. A lot of details are missing, but this is everything I can remember:

I'm in the war-ravaged future, in a futuristic-looking white room with a grand high ceiling and intricate pillars. I'm with others, though I don't recognise any of them initially. Someone enters the room, claiming to be a huge fan of one of my friends [who I'm sure at this point is Morpheus from The Matrix] wearing a spherical forcefield. Instinctively believing him to be lying, I shoot large balls of energy from my gun towards him, though they all get deflected. I dodge most of them, but some hit me. Luckily, one bounces around the room at the right angle to cause it slip through a gap in his forcefield.

Impostor dead, his master arrives with his own gun [though I can't remember him in detail, I do remember him being at least 3-times my size]. My group engages in a fight with this new enemy all around the room, while we also add puzzle pieces to large pictures on the walls.

After a long fight, yet another, more powerful foe arrives, along with several small monsters. I pick up a chainsaw and make small work of them all, cutting through them in seconds. As peace falls on the room for my group, we take the opportunity to add the final puzzle pieces to the final picture.
