1. I am the God of Lucid Dreaming! - 06052012

      by , 06-05-2012 at 09:44 AM
So I keep waking in the night with an abrupt start...adjust my hair, and turn over to fall back asleep. And this is the result...

I am E-Con, God of Lucid Dreaming. It is my duty to send out bolts of lucidity to all the dreamers in the world, and I take in energy from the people on DreamViews.

I am in a white room, though 'room' isn't a good descriptor. It's more like a place that can't be quantified by mortal dimensions. Behind me (visually) are what appear to be cloud-like walls, though I suspect they are just a construct of the mind to give an area boundaries.

Before me is a large spinning disc, electrically charged with the power of dreams. As it spins bolts of energy (lucid dreams) are sent out in all directions to be absorbed by the dreamers of the world.

I seem to be angry...or perhaps determined...as though my task required a lot of attention and I had nothing to spare for questions or diversional thought. If someone were to walk up to me I would probably respond by yelling or simply ignore them as unimportant.

      And I wake up.

I think I like my job better as a DG.

I had at least two other dreams but I can't recall them now. Too much headache going on today. :(

I had this lucid and it was one of the most incredible and thought-provoking experiences. I hope I do this again.

I’m aware as I slip into sleep, and I find myself lying on abook in the middle of a magical landscape. The walls of the room are gone and theworld I’m in is nothing like anything I’ve encountered before. Here anything ispossible, and my scene is so fluid that some objects do not even have shape. Those that do have form do not resemble structures or objects that I’m familiarwith, and I find myself staring at what’s around me.
Beneath the book I’m lying on there is no visible ground. The light seems to come from every direction, and is a shade of red I’m not normallyacquainted with. The light seems to fill not only the scene but also be part ofmany of the objects I see.
As I look around and become aware of what’s around me I havemoments of clarity, and each moment corresponds to a different wave of energypassing over me and through all the objects within my view. As each wave hitsthe objects it causes changes in their levels of illumination, each becomingbriefly brighter as though charged with power.
Behind my back and also on the book is a four-foot highblock, though it might be part of the book itself. It occasionally pokes me inthe back, and it’s hot. I briefly become aware that my daughter is kicking mein my back in real life, but in the dream this is represented by the spikyshape poking me.
As the waves of energy pass over I realize they are waves ofthought, stemming from my occasional awareness of the real world, and as thewaves strike the objects they not only light up but resonate. Everything vibrates, and the frequency is different depending on whether the object is good or evil.Good objects are filled with a brighter form of illumination, like an internalwhite light. All evil objects become dark from within and have shades of blackmixed in with the red. Their resonance is similarly affected, though this isharder to describe. The whole scenegives me some anxiety, though it could also stem from the shape poking me inthe back.
As I shift back and forth between sleep and a hazy awarenessof the real world I discover I can move objects into and out of the dream. Theonly objects around me are my stuffed dog and my pillow. Feeling safer with mypillow’s bigger size, I bring it into the dream. It’s a lot comfier than thebook and it helps shield me from the sharp pokes I’m still getting in the back. It shines with a white glow and itssubstance pulsates with a pattern of light wholly different than everythingelse I can see. It’s softer, too.
I feel like I’m about to come to some conclusion about thenature of objects in the universe, and how they relate to conscious thought, but then I wake up.
