DJ#17: 'One lucid please' *Dream Guide included*

YEAH! My first properly lucid dream in aaaages, well sorta. I'm not to sure how to describe it, but I wasn't fully lucid, and my dream control abilities sucked, but I definitely knew I was dreaming. I also (pretty sure) got to talk with my dream guide for the first time . This is my only lucid whic hadn't ended within 30 seconds, yet this was also probably my lucid with the least 'explosive' awareness, it was more of a different kind of awareness, not sure if there's a link there but I will investigate.

The dream started with me in bed, and even though it felt real I decided to d a reality check, and surprise surprise I suddenly realized I was dreaming. I kept on telling myself I'm dreaming I'm dreaming etc and I looked at my hands in a bit of an effort to stabilize my dream. I was surprised by how real the dream seemed, and since my lucidity wasn;t very high I had to continually affirm to myself I was dreaming. I realized the light level was really low so I tried yelling out 'more light' and 'more lucidity' but it didn't really do much. I remembered the 'memory: forgotten fundamental' thread a little bit and I tried to remember where I was sleeping and in what house, and It seemed t come to me easily, but in retrospect I remembered the wrong house. I remembered the house which the dream was taking place (my mum's house) not where I was sleeping currently (my dad's house) hehe. I decided to go on dreamviews (idk why lol, wasn't very lucid hehe) and I saw a thread about something or other nd I posted about the dream I was having (again weird , may have lost some lucidity here). In response a guy gave me some advice. I then got the inkling he was my dream guide, so I asked him what my real name was and whether he was my dream guide (a big goal for me), but he replied that although yes he was my dream guide (!!!) I had to wait for my true name. I was a bit disappointment at that, and I think I lost some lucidity here as well as I browsed some other threads on DV.
The interesting thing with my DG though was I'm not sure whether I was talking to him in person or he was putting video responses on my DV posts or what, as although I'm sure I read his responses I could see him as well saying them. I could see a badger man (person with big badger head and badger fur/claws etc. instead of hands) wearing a creamy old style cap, red sweater vest and white shirt and pants playing golf.
After this I was back sitting in my bed, and I decided t give another go at a bit of dream control. I realized how long the dream had gone and I thought I wanted to end it soon, so I tried willing that to happen, didn't work. I spun around but that didn't do much, then I jumped over backwards and that did the trick, except instead of waking me up it just ended the dream and my lucidity. My last thought was about remembering my dream, but I think what I did counteracted this as I know I've forgotten a fair amount of this dream
Ps. On a side note for some reason during the dream I 'remembered' that I had had a mini LD last night as well which I had woken straight up to, which I'm pretty sure didn't happen as I remembered about 5 fragments from last night and I doubt I had that mini LD but who knows, maybe I forgot it.

Why not try to find out your dream guide's name?

Funny. Most people have the opposite problem...
