1. First Attempt to lucid dream

by , 08-05-2010 at 12:53 AM
I went to bed late...about 1 am.

Currently I have leg, hip, and back pain, so it's difficult for me to relax in bed. I try to avoid taking pain killers whenever I can.

Some things I've read about...Exercises:

1. Try to feel love just before going to bed. Visualize friends, family, pets, anything that helps you feel love.

2. Concentrate on your third eye while saying Hu..Pronounced Hue - (God) chant for about 10 min.

3. Affirmations:
a. I will not be afraid and I will remember everything.
b. When I hear the gong (set for every 90 min to wake me up) I will be awake in my dream world. Timer can be downloaded here: http://download.cnet.com/Cool-Timer/3000-2350_4-10062255.html
c. chant...dream,dddrrreeeaaammm, stay awake, remember, to infinity and beyond, I am lucid...the world is vivid.

In a totally dark room with my eyes shut, I could see red flashes and swirling shapes and colors. I felt a chill radiating from my spine and going up my shoulders and down my arms. My heartbeat increased. I was starting to feel light, when a pain from my leg jolted me and snapped me out of it.

I got up, went to the bathroom where I took my pain medication, drank some water, and went back to bed. It took about an hour for me to go back to sleep. I was alert, with my eyes shut.

About 8 hours later I started dreaming. I was in a forest with a dirt road. I was there for about 3 seconds, I couldn't hold on to the dream...Flash There was a white sports car coming towards me...Flash. That was it...I was so disappointed. :?
