    1. Look who's back!

by , 07-16-2015 at 06:57 PM (My lucid comeback!)
      Where do I start?

It's been over six months since the last time I've been fully active on this forum, and I actually have my reasons for it.
You probably won't have noticed this, atleast I hope so cause if you did then that would mean you're stalking me or something, but anyways! The last six months was a period spanning from my midterm exams to my last exams at high school, I succeeded in all these wonderfully, nearly catching the award for physics but eventually ending on the second place. (still hurts but I can live with it...)

While for most students that meant the end of the school year and looking forward to university, I was... well let's say my education course has some EXTRA criteria in order to be allowed into university.
The education I'm talking about is for people who want to become doctor or dentist, here in Belgium there's a special entry exam for that, kinda like you have these special universities in America and Great Britain you're not Always allowed into them.

So what have I been doing for the last 4 weeks after High school ended?
You guessed it, I spend nearly 24/7 studying like a lunatic and in the end I passed the exam... BARELY, like my score was 30/60 which is JUST enough to pass.

Of the 5000 participants, 500 passed which shows how difficult it was and I'm glad I don't have to spend the remainder of the vacation studying for the second chance you get in August when you didn't pass in July.

And now I'm here, with more than 3 months ahead of just free time until university comes up I think this is the period in which I'l become a fricking lucid god! The last lucid dream I had is I think still recorded in my DJ on the forum so you can see that it has been a long time since I've had one.
I've learned being optimistic too often is not Always the best strategy to solving things so I'll just go into this with the mindset that I've lost ALL OF MY ABILITIES and my skill at lucid dreaming is like that of a noob.
Some might be dissapointed with such a fall back, but I'm actually quite excited as this means I can once again embark on adventure!

The end this message before it gets too long I want to say that my DR hasn't actually been that sh*t lately, I haven't noted them down but every morning I can remember about 3 of them so I'm not too worried about that.
Anyway, see you tomorrow with fresh dreams and for those curious as to which profession I'd like to learn at university, I'm learning to become a dentist!:chuckle:

    2. Comeback archieved! [07/09/14]

by , 09-07-2014 at 09:27 PM (My lucid comeback!)
It's been a while since I've put up an entry and I think it's time to make the decision wether maintaining this DJ is archievable and still nescesarry or if I can do it in a less intense way. I found myself using up most of the time after school doing work or just relaxing and seem to have lost the motivation to write down my dreams in detail up here. I still note them in my tag-book which is sufficient at keeping my DR high (+-4 dreams a night) and I seem to have found my golden technique after more than 3 months of non-stop research, testing and tweaking. It seems my work here is done and if I keep practising I will probably archieve atleast several lucids per night with this technique. I will probably post all my LDs on this forum so I can do the TOTM stuff and all, I just don't know if I will do it the day itself or at the end of the week in a large overview entry.

I plan on writing a tutorial of the technique on here in the future but for now a small description is:

      1. Set alarm to wake you up after 6 hours of sleep.
      2. Relax and use this sleepy state you're in to auto-suggest waking up after every dream for the remaining 2 hours of sleep. (That is if you have to wake up for work or school after a night of 8 hours.)
      3. You will probably wake up atleast 6 times in the following 2 hours which gives plenty of room for trial and error.
      4. Use every natural awakening to use a seperation technique of your liking (inducing vibrations, rotation or just any movement you can think of while your body remains still.), personally I think of a song I like and after some time I feel my body pulsating with the rythem of the music in my head. This also helps me stay awake in this drowsy state.
      5. Once the pulses become very noticable I know I'm actually asleep but still in my real body.
      6. At this point I think of rolling out of my bed not using any muscles, this should be extremely easy and you will probably know if you're rolling for real or if you're just rolling your dream body. (If you move your dream body you won't feel any resistance from your sheets laying on top of you.
      7. Next step: brace for impact, believe it or not but the first time I did this I actually thought I fell out of my bed for real. I was in my room sitting on the ground next to my bed, it was dark and my head was hurting but a nose plug RC confirmed I was in a dream.

I've had 2 chances of doing this technique and both were succesfull, my main problem now is usually falling asleep in time so I have atleast 5 hours of prior sleep. If I have trouble falling asleep and lay awake for 2 hours I cancel the attempt and make sure I get enough sleep for the next day.

You should always prioritise your health above anything, even lucid dreaming!

I'd like to thank everyone who has supported me (replying to the DJ, giving advice and just being friendly) in my lucid comeback, the last 3 months will remain a very important turning point for the rest of my life.

    3. Free week review [25/08/14-01/09/14]

by , 09-03-2014 at 08:10 PM (My lucid comeback!)
Hello everyone, it's been a bit more than a week that I've responded but don't worry I'm back!

I'm going to type other entries after this one so I'll keep it short and clear, it's evening and I want to relax after a day of school.

In the week I took free from doing DJing I started reading the book 'The phase' which is a book about lucid dreaming, astral projection and much more. (The phase is an umbrella term for everything happening during conscious REM.) In this book I found many new techniques and one of which worked so good there's a chance if I can get in the right state again it will likely make me lucid again. It's a DEILD/WILD technique but the most important thing is the way you exit you waking body by rolling out of it. (Which I did almost too good... )

      1. Coming in with a bang* (WILD)

After waking up around 05:00 in the morning by my alarm and having 2 more hours to do the technique I made sure I would wake up several times in these 2 hours. In total I woke up 5 times naturally of which the fourth one was succesfull. I started slumbering into sleep while laying on my side when suddenly I thought about rolling on my back, I was slightly worried I was too close to the edge of the bed and would fall of but before I knew it I felt my body slowly turning. There was a very mild tinnitus in my ears but I wasn't paying a lot of attention to it anyway, I turned faster as I was nearly horizontal and then I fell out of my bed. I open up my eyes and sit on the ground with the sheets wrapped around my body, my head actually hit the table next to my bed and hurted slightly. I looked up and was embarassed thinking I just woke everyone up with the loud thumb but then I did a nose plug RC just to be sure. Although the sensation was weak I did notice a slight difference from when I do it fully awake and knew it was a dream. I quickly stabilized by crawling over my dream-bed and sliding my hands across it, it felt like a reall bed and I was ready to start exploring. Although I was aware of the fact it was all a dream I kept silent to make sure everyone stays asleep, the hallway was darker than normal and I had a slightly eerie feeling. I entered the bathroom and closed the door, outside the window I saw a large moon in the sky illuminating the tiles with a blue aurora. I tried flying through the ceiling and towards the moon but could only jump as high as IRL. After checking my hands I noticed they weren't that deformed, all of these things began to make me doubt wether or not it was a dream. I woke up soon after.
    4. That was deep... [14/08/14]

by , 08-14-2014 at 09:26 PM (My lucid comeback!)
Alright everyone, this morning was quiet out of the ordinary as I had 2 FA's which I both turned into LDs. Not only that but for the first time I was able to interact with a DC (my mother) and I got a response that still leaves me with a lot of questions...

      1. Panick at the mall

I'm waiting in a que for something in a supermarket and I seem to be having a good talk with a couple, we laugh a bit and eventually we go outside. There are many people and we're all very packed together, accidently the guy I was talking to bumbs into me and fall down in a puddle of water. I notice the sleeve of my pyjama being wet and I say in a very kind way that it mildly annoys me. Then I'm suddenly on the other side of the mall sitting at a tavern drinking a banana/kiwi smoothie. It's raining very hard outside the windows and the square is empty, the woman that sits at my table is slightly worried as she talks about a new type of tornado that forms during rainfall. I look outside again now paying attention to any whirlwinds and suddenly see one forming. At first it's small and transparent but quickly it grows in a large dense tornado, the woman runs away deeper into the mall leaving me alone and I leave too after I first finish my smoothie that actually tasted quiet good.

      2. Awakening
      * (DILD)

I wake up dazed and see the very early light of the sky that still looks dark and grey, it's 05:00 in the morning I think and don't give it much thought. Until I see the clouds in the sky moving abnormally fast followed by planes flying in a formation. I become slightly suspicious and do a nose-plug RC just incase, what do you think I can breath through it like it's nothing! I sit up in my bed an feel the sheets who are very thin, I do the RC again and try squeezing my nose as hard as I can. It feels like I can squeeze it as tight as paper but still feel no pain and breath normally. Then the dream gets unstable and I feel waking up slightly disappointed.

      3. Awakening 2.0* (DILD)

I wake up again and notice I can still see the sky through me windows, even though it's cloudless I still become suspicious because my curtains are open. I do another RC and well, we're lucid again!
I sit up and again start doing the RC multiple times, it's about 06:00 in the morning now slightly brighter than previous LD. I sit at the edge of my bed and think about the fact everything is fake and a product of my mind, I consider doing some RCs I haven't done before, like turning on the lightswitch. It stays dark and I sit back on my bed looking at the switch trying to activate it with willpower or something. I notice my mother sitting at the computer in my sister's bedroom, I ignore her at first but when she walks into my room and starts folding some of my clothing I feel like I have to do something.
I'm slightly worried about what her reaction will be because I still feel this mental barrier of doing things infront of DCs that aren't normal. I start a conversation with her beginning with a very controversial statement in my eyes.

      (A= me, B= DC-mother)

A: "You are not my mother."

      B: *giggles a bit*

"How nice of you to ask it like that."

"I'll explain it to you, everything you see right now is 'you'."

"You are my child which means..."

A: "That we're genetically partially the same...?"

      B: "Yes."

(Note that the actuall conversation was a bit more vague and somehow I got information from her telepathically or some other way.)

Then I notice old pictures of me and my sister as children on hanging of the side of my bed, in most of these I'm happy and playing around. I also see some pictures of my father being happy too and looking at me. I was between 6-8 years old I think in these pictures.
For some reason this made me very emotional and I couldn't help but start crying, it is at this point that I wake up for real

So yeah I was quiet impressed by the answer I got from her, I think by the time I saw the pictures I actually lost most of my lucidity though.

    5. Full blown nightmare [13/08/14]

by , 08-13-2014 at 09:30 PM (My lucid comeback!)
Hello everyone, I must say last night or rather this morning I had a dream that for the first time ever probably was just so creepy and panick-inducing that I was glad to see the morning light shine into my eyes.
I'm not even trying to be poetic here, it was genuinely one of the scariest moments I've ever experienced.
For anyone who somehow wouldn't notice it, it's obviously the third dream.

      1. Good start

It's a hot summer day and I'm arriving at school with a bike entering the yard from behind, my sister asks me in an annoyed way if I've forgotten my bicycle lock. Upon noticing I indeed had forgotten my lock I told her I would find a way to fix it. She was quiet angry for me being so forgetful but I quickly walked further past a group of students. The yard was smaller and more densely packed with vegetation offering a nice shade from the burning sun. I walked to the place where everyone parks their bikes and saw one of my friends there, I asked him if he could share his chain with my bike so they would be both secure and he did so without any problem. I walked back to my sister but don't know what happens next.

      2. Welcome to the internet

I'm browsing the internet and look around in Dreamviews for anything, I notice that I have a notifications as it shines it's satisfying red colour. It seems a bit bugged out though because it flickers and vibrates a little, when I clicked on it it somehow took me to the Dreamviews chatroom. The chatroom looked very weird, it was green and looked like a hacking-panel straight from the 1960's. Someone wanted to talk to me and I tried responding but the symbols were very weird and I didn't understand them. I quickly tab out and start playing a flashgame about a water droplet that has to punch through a wall of ice while avoiding freezing so you have to find a balance between punching the ice and not touching it. Suddenly I'm looking into some canister that has red pixels bouncing around in it, I call these protons. Then blue pixels show up too that I call neutrons, as they bounce around they form some gas that rapidly expands and eventually makes the canister explode.

      3. The creeping darkness

Alright, this is it even though I hate bringing back the vivid memories I think it's best to just write it down and be done with it. Our story begins with me entering an old victorian looking theatre like this:

      Waking life (lucid dreaming movie)-theaterzaal.jpg

I enter the theatre from the left uper balcony you see on the picture, as I look around the theatre I quickly notice that it's completely abandoned, deserted yet still in a perfect state. All the chairs are empty until I look back for a moment and when I look into the theatre again all the seats have a puppets in them, even the chairs on the balcony where I'm standing. They're all looking at me, the stage is barely visible and unnaturally dark. I climb over the banister and get on the larger balcony left of the one I stood on first. There's a long corridor leading out of the theatre room, it's very dark yet I can still navigate it. The corridor is in a very bad state, all the walls are damaged and have fungus growing on them, there are some rooms left and right in the corridor but I just walk straight forward. The corridor ends in a small dark room with a single computer on a desk facing the wall. I start up the computer and browse YouTube, there I start watching some video's of Storpy who plays scary games and films his reactions. (https://www.youtube.com/user/storpey) For a moment I forget the fact I'm in a creepy old theatre and I actually laugh a bit with Steve's reactions. It is when he start saying things like "Oh god, there are shadows moving in that corridor." and when he starts screaming in pure terror like I've never seen him do before that I look back and start seeing dark figures move in the corridor I just came from. At first I try ignoring the moving shadows behind me and focusing on Steve's reaction who now keeps screaming. The only thing that's still on the screen is his face-cam... Then I realize the thing Steve is watching through his monitor is the room I'm standing in, I am inside the horror game he's playing. I look back again and notice the shadows quickly flying through the corridor towards me, they scream and shriek in a horrible deafening way. There's no way out of this room other than the corridor, all I can think of is crawl in a corner of the room and wait in a fetal position for my death... Then the screams get quieter, I dare looking up and see that the room is still empty. Without any thinking I just run as fast as I can through the corridor into the theatre, climb back on the first balcony at which point the dream fades into black and I wake up.

    6. Tales of an adventure [12/08/14]

by , 08-12-2014 at 10:13 PM (My lucid comeback!)
Last night was quiet amazing, even with the lack of a lucid dream it was easily one of the best dream-experiences I've ever had.

      1. Living the life

I'm in Saudi Arabia and walking towards a plaza filled with chairs and tables of the nearby restaurant. I'm wearing a suit and headphones and just feeling very confident of myself. I take a seat and slowly take of my headphones off, laying them on the table. I order an ice-tea and just relax when a guy walks up to me and asks me to test the headphones. I tell him I could only trust him not stealing my headphones as soon as he took them by ordering a drink and testing them right infront of me. He accepts the deal and orders something to drink, quickly taking his Phone and putting on the headphones. Only he forgets to plug them in, as he starts his music it loudly plays across the whole area making everyone look at us. I try to make him aware of the fact everyone can hear the music but he's quiet drawn back in his own world of music. In the end he notices it and feels very awkward, I understand why.

      2. The tale begins

I'm in some parrallel world with my family and we know some of our cats are there too, we need to resque them. I remember the dream starting somewhere in the middle of things, we're descending in the basement of a house. The stair ends up in a waterfilled corridor, although it's a basement and it's completely filled with water as soon as I go under visibility is good and I can see all the way to the end of the corridor. I find a cat along the way that I pick out of the water, a lot of water runs out of it's fur but she seems to be fine. I continue and sometimes have to swim up to breath in a small air-pocket created by the basement's irregular ceiling. After some time I can hear my mother telling me underwater that there's a decapitated bay-head in a large mug in one of the rooms. I look into a few but don't see anything, creepy music starts playing as I keep checking the rooms filled with water that each seem to have a table in the center of them. Then I see a large mug standing on one of those tables, I barely look over the edge of the mug but don't seem to find anything related to the baby. The we go up a stair again and walk straight through a wall like it wasn't even there. It teleports us to the garage of our house, I feel like the mission is complete but then we realize we might've not saved every cat yet.
The dream-plot continues in the next dream but it was simply too seperate to call it a single dream.

      2. The tale continues

I make my way upstairs to the kitchen where I meet up with my sister who seems to be very stressed. I calm her down and ask her to make a list of every cat that we have right her right now. After some checking we found out there's still two cats missing, I begin making plans to go back into that world and gather a team that will assist me. I exit the house and go up the street to find members for the team but quickly realize I already have one waiting in the garage at the wall. Before I enter the house again I stop and look at the showcase of the new shop next to our house. I wonder if this thick glass panel could offer a way into the parrallel world. Although my instinct tells me not to walk into walls and glass windows I convinced myself I wouldn't break my nose but instead enter the other world. I march on and collide with the glass surface which seems to be slightly elastic and thus making my impact softer, it feels very hard though. I back of with a groan and check if my nose isn't bleeding. Then I instead shoulder-bash into it but it still doesn't give away. I go to the garage where the teams is waiting for me to walk into the wall first. I'm slightly worried walking into solid surfaces considering last attempt but do it anyway. I shoulder-bash into the wall which almost lets me through but it bounces me off. I try several times but fail each time. Then someone says you should hold a rubber object between you and the wall when going through it. I see how one of the members holds an inflatable mattress infront of him as he goes through the wall Harry Potter style, which he does without any problem. I wonder for a second where I can get my rubber object but I quickly realize I'm already holding a mattress in my left hand. I say "Wait, we don't know what's on the other side. What if there's water, I want something more serious.", I look back and see an inflatable boat laying on the ground. The moment I hold the boat infront of me and I'm standing several meters infront of the wall I feel confident again that I will teleport through it. I run as fast as I can and seem to go through the wall like it's air, I fall forward and land in the boat which now quickly slides down a snowy hill. After a quick check I see that I'm in an indoor ski slope. The boat rapidly descents and I can hear 'Charlie and the Chocolate factory' music playing which makes me laugh a bit. This laughing nearly made me lucid as I actually knew it was a dream at that point but it was more of a daydream that I couldn't stabilize so I woke up for a second and fell back in the dream non-lucid.

      3. A dark world

I slip back in the dream but consider this a new chapter in this adventure. The boat comes to a stop and I appear to be in a completely different world. The sky is grey, large islands that lack trees and are just covered with vast planes of tall grass, inbetween these Island massive lakes extent beyond the horizon. At first I seem to be alone but quickly I find small people that seem friendly but somehow everything takes a dark turn and the little people become very hostile towards me. I'm suddenly driving a sportscar down a lone dirt road near the coast of an Island. As I spot another car heading towards me in the distance I hide the car and myself in a large pool of water. The car has no problem driving in or out of the pool and my vision is several meters above the pool as I see the other car driving past without noticing me. I drive out of the pool and think of a way to escape this world. It is also at this point that I consider the cats I wanted to find in this world to be secure and back in the 'real' world. The dream cuts of here but resumes in the next chapter.

      4. The exodus

I arrive at a large but mostly deserted airport with the sportscar, next to me is one of the team members who seems to be quiet stressed. We stop at a plane that is standing still on the runway and get out of the car, for some reason we start running towards the plane. During our sprint I can see I accidently dropped a box of cereal, however I ignore it and just make my way towards the plane. A stair goes up to an entrance near the front of the plane, it's a commercial plane. In the plane every seat is empty, we open the cockpit and find the pilot who seems to be very ill. The pilot himself knows his last hour is approaching and his last wish is to make sure I and the other team member get back in the 'real' world. I ask him what we have to do to escape this world. He tells me we need to go back to the car and use certain materials to turn the car into an airplane of some sort. While he's telling what materials we need I remember the cereal box that I dropped earlier. The material we need is in this box and I quickly run out to make sure we have it. Then the dream suddenly jerks forward to us sitting in the car and driving up a parking lot. We're very stressed and know that as long as we stay incognito between the people outside we'll be fine. I start emptying the box and looking at the material. I see some old bolts and screws but I feel like this is enough for us to start working.

    7. Best NLD ever probably [08/08/14]

by , 08-08-2014 at 09:58 AM (My lucid comeback!)
Hi guys, it seems that auto-suggestion for waking up after a dream is working but I must focus on my induction techniques once I'm awake.

      1. The villa

I'm with my family on vacation in Spain, we own a large villa that has atleast 5 swimming pools (1 indoor) and it has a view over the ocean. I mostly explore the house and get information about why it is build in that way. When evening falls and I'm eating dinner which the personel serves I hear something in the kitchen and decide to check it out. I suddenly get camera-feed of a woman (not personel) drinking from the kitchen sink and also spilling A LOT of water over the edge. Then I enter the kitchen for real and see how it's completely filled with water, the water is atleast 10 cm high and 2 house cleaners are desperately trying to dry it up with towels. Also large pieces of meat or other food float in the water around the fridge which makes it dirty too.

      2. What is wrong here?

I just had gym and I'm the only person who's still there, I put my clothes on and have a feeling I'm forgetting something, something important. I'm there for quiet a long time but eventually decide to leave, now I feel like I'm too late for something.

      3. The best dream

I'm relaxing at an indoor swimming pool of a house and as I look outside the large windows I see it's completely dark outside. After some time a group of young people (20-25 age) enter and ask if they could make use of the pool. I hesitate but then I remember this is not my house, I broke in here myself. I say sure and tell them I would get my laptop just upstairs. They jump in the pool and have a good time, even though I broke into this house I don't want to steal anything or leave any traces. The whole house has a different layout than mine IRL but upstairs they correspond quiet well. I first look around my sister's bedroom looking for Imacs and go through the drawers. After some time I find 3 Imacs, blue, white and black I think. I pick the blue one which belonged to the father of the house, it had a password which I couldn't find so I put it back and looked in my own room. I wanted to leave a note for the person who slept here telling him to live his live or something but as I was writing I noticed I couldn't read what I was writing and it kept changing letters I decided to just throw it away. I go downstairs which is completely different from IRL where I see some weird things like a door with a large man painted on it which I find funny so I take a picture of it. I look around some more but then I hear the family getting home. I rush to the cellar and tell everyone in the pool to leave now which they do. I run upstairs and the family who enters the kitchen barely misses me. I get to my sisters bedroom and need to get out fast and at the same time quiet without leaving any traces. I was EXTREMELY stressed and opened the window which made more noise than nescessary, once open I had to get passed the mosquito window which I somehow pushed out quietly. The window had a handle on the outside too so I could close it, I put the mosquito window back in and noticed the safety shutters weren't down so I thought of going back in and closing it but my instinct told me to run. I run across the rooftops and through old greenhouses (which a lot of people have here IRL). It's raining and cold but I feel so alive with my excellent parkour abilities. I make dangerous jumps which I execute perfectely I slip on some roof because they're wet but I actually do it in a very controlled way. Running through the upper levels of greenhouses with drops of 20 meters probably. It's difficult to explain the path I took but it was extremely hardcore parkour and I was the first to discover it probably, I also crawled through a lot of openings in the glass walls. when I finally reached the street far behind the house and my own I felt relieved. I was also scared, thinking if I left a trace I would go to prison, my mother was there too and already was suspicious of what I just done. She was very angry when I told her, she asked many times if I took anything or left any traces. I said no everytime and thought of what traces I left, which were none except the safety shutter which I didn't close.

      4. The aftermath

I do an interview with the family about if they already knew a burglar had been in their house, the daughter of the family (who's window's safety shutters I didn't close) told me she sometimes forgets to close them anyway. I felt relieved to know they didn't have a clue it was me. Then my family asked me to do the parkour again as they were curious to how I escaped. I followed the parkour again and did it, but I was not as sharp or focused so everything went slower and I sometimes took a wrong turn. It wasn't raining so everything was dry and I couldn't slide on pipes, instead I had to climb on them. I had most difficulties with cimbing up some ropes in an old greenhouse but eventually I got to the top.

Now here's something important, dream 3 was partially incubated by me the evening before. I heared the assasin's creed music on TV and ended up daydreaming doing parkour over the rooftops.

      Plan for next night:

-Auto suggest waking up after every dream

-Visualizing a dream in which I become lucid multiple times

      - Archief lucidity

      Plan for when I'm lucid:

Focus on every detail to find differences between dreams and reality which hopefully will make me more aware of dreams in the future.

    8. Facing a nightmare [11/07/14]

by , 07-11-2014 at 10:14 PM (My lucid comeback!)
Last night I had some difficulties falling asleep again and DR wasn't the best but I must say the dream that I had felt and still feels quiet important to me.

      1. Stand and fight

I'm somewhere in California or just somewhere in America with large forests and warm temperatures, it's sunset and I'm enjoying a walk through the forest. I cross some small crooks using small bridges made of 4 logs. I feel like this is summer camp or something and I'm pretty young. (I never went to camps when I was younger IRL.) Suddenly the dream teleports me, I'm back myself and I'm in the same forest but a different location. As I look down the very long dirt road infront of me with at the end a road and buildings (Mabye 250 meters far?) I hear a growl behind my back. I turn around and see a large dark bear standing there, he stares at me with a hungry expression. For 3 seconds I'm frozen and thinking about the best thing to do, my rational minds tells me to remain steady and stare back cause that's what you're told to do when you see a bear, yeah? But my instinct is more powerfull and forces me to run the other way as fast as I can. After 5 seconds of running I realise I made the wrong decision and now the bear thinks I'm a prey, I hear his growling getting closer and closer and his footsteps smashing the ground beneath him. 20 meters further I feel my legs are extremely tired and I know I can't run from this thing, he will tear me in pieces!
But then the most important part of the dream happens, atleast what I think makes it so special. I turn around and see the bear storming at me and he's about 5 meters away from me, I quickly grab a pocket knife (IRL I've never had one.) and try pulling the knife out of the device. I think to myself "If I can't run away from you, then I will not give up without a fight." By the time I ready the knife the bear is just 1 meter infront of me and tries to attack. I dodge it and stab him in his upper neck, the knife barely pierces the thick fur and leathery skin but I see some blood. The bear keeps attacking and after several more stabbings the dream teleports again and I look down on the corpse of the bear, which is completly covered in blood.

Now the reason why I think this dream is so important is cause I just defeated a true nightmare, for the first time in my life. I don't have to worry about it returning or something cause I ended it right then and there. It also shows a bit of who I am as a person I think, I like to ignore and walk away from problems that aren't extremely important but when they do get big I usually solve them really well.

    9. A day off? I didn't think so. [08/07/14]

by , 07-08-2014 at 12:36 PM (My lucid comeback!)
This morning when I woke up I think I remembered 3-4 dreams but I decided to take it easy today and not worry to much about it. However the second time I woke up I had the best dream I've ever had...

      1. D-DAY

I'm in an amphibious landing craft a KM of the coast of Normandy, I wear a WW2-era uniform and see more soldiers in the boat waiting for the gate to fall open. Not a single word is said and then suddenly the gate falls open and the first soldiers storm outside and jump in the water. Some of them get shot right away and I can see parts of their brain flying back in EXTREME detail. It's my turn and I dive straight into the water as fast as I can and plan to stay under until I reach the shore to stay clear of gunfire. As I jump in I rapidly sink down as my equipment is really heavy, I see multiple corpses on the bottom and some floating above me. I quickly take my army knife and try cutting my backpack loose, fortunatly it comes off quiet fast and I make my way to the beach. Upon crawling out of the water I'm deafened by the sound of explosions and MG-fire, I take cover behind an anti-tank cross thing and look for the other soldiers. I focus on the defenses and fire my automatic gun at a pillbox, I see how allied soldiers are trying to climb in the bunkers but they get smashed with spades on their head and fall down. Next to me is a soldier who's sitting out in the open, I pull him in cover and ask him if he's crazy. The beach is really large and doesn't have that many barriers on it, the cover I'm behind is actually the only obstacle and I suddenly notice there are like 5 soldiers only on the beach including me. I'm confused, then everyone stops firing their guns and I'm like "What, a seize fire?". I look around and see Steven Spielberg walking towards me, clapping his hands and shouting "Excellent work men, we got it all on tape and it already looks amazing!. All the fear and stress goes away and he asks "And, how was it?", I respond with relief "Wow, I mean like when I got out of the water, I was terrified.". The other figurants laughed a bit but it was a friendly laughter, not laughing at me.

One of my goals in an LD was to experience D-day, looks like that task is done now but I do want to try it out again when I'm really lucid.

    10. Personal record broken [02/07/14]

by , 07-02-2014 at 05:26 PM (My lucid comeback!)
So yeah, remember I said that my record of most dreams in one night was 6? Well, from now on that number will be 8! And to make it all even better, we had another LD, an FA but I was smart enough to notice it.
One thing I must say is that the evening before, I decided to make and drink 0,5l of orange juice and this morning I also tried SSILD which probably caused the LD.

      1. The prison

I'm in an armored buss being transported to a jail somewhere in the countryside, we stop and leave the buss however there isn't much security and suddenly I'm holding a bike next to me. It doesn't feel like I'm going to jail, more like going to school, a friend of me is further up ahead on his bike. I shout him to turn around cause that's the female-prison, in the distance I saw a camp with some women walking around in white clothing. Just next to that camp was the male-prison, I saw some men walking around in the same white clothing and walked to the back. I stopped next to a building to put my bike somewhere, infront of the door I planned first but then I thought it could close at night and I wouldn't be able to reach my bike. (The building had some weird overhanging with a fence that could be lowered or something.) Inside that building I knew would be the introduction to the prison and administration.

      2. The escape plan

I'm entering a garage/barn type of building, in it there are several cars parked in the middle of the room and one car in the upper right corner. It does feel like a prison still, I think we're doing some trip for the day. It's either early in the morning or evening cause it's quiet dark and I feel quiet tired. The plan was that some inmates (including me) that wanted to escape would get in the car in the upper right corner and at that moment the roof would somehow collaps on the other cars, killing the guards and giving us a chance to escape. However nothing happened and we drove away in a convoy.

      3. Bio-beer

I'm at some expo where they are presenting a fully self-sustaining machine that makes beer, starting from growing the plants and then distilling it... The room was very large, I think they used an old warehouse although the lamps were quiet modern. Between the large machine (Almost the size of the room itself) ran small hallways, visitors walked around looking at the contraption. Then there was a part where you could recieve a cup of beer and taste it, I took one but didn't seem to have a sense of taste, then I saw my sister walking to me.

      4. The session

I'm watching some film through the eyes of a prisoner, he's sitting in the cantine/session room or something and infront of him sits a guard in riot gear. There are more prisoners in the room with each a riot guard infront of them. The exercise is that the prisoners have to gently beat the riot guards but control themself to not keep punching when they're told to stop or something. The prisoner first tries to just talk with the guard but he responds with gestures that the prisoner must beat him on his chest. Then the prisoner starts beating him, way too hard and way too long. After some time blood starts coming from the guard and another guard has to stop the prisoner. In the end I think the guard survived it though.

      5. Boat fail

I'm with my sister somewhere near a lake, we both wear winter-jackets and it's really cold. There isn't any snow but it's a tundra climat with vast planes and mountains in the distance, the lake is about a kilometer wide I guess. We have a rubber boat and decide to try and cross the lake, she sits up front and I in the back. After 5 meters the boat sinks and we quickly swim back. We were quiet amused by our fail and were able to laugh about it.

Now I wake up, note down the dreams I already had and do SSILD for the next 15 minutes after which I fall asleep in about 20 minutes I think.

      6. I-don't-know-what-is-happening-dream

I wake up in my bed and there's a small tail (the size of a hair) on my desk in a certain position, then someone I know from school walks in a we talk about the tail and some other stuff. Then I exit my room and suddenly fly around some weird city, then I see an old house in the city that suddenly gets split in half, a deep hole appears in the middle, I see two people in the right half of the house on the upper floor. Then I enter the toilet of my house which has some one-way window in the door, I can look outside but people from outside can't look inside. Then I see my cat somewhere and his tail is in the same position as the tail I saw on my desk.

      7. The friendly werewolf* (SSILD)

I wake up in my bed and hear my mother swearing cause the cat has peed next to the litter box or something, it's all really blurry and I'm disoriented. I say to myself "You know, this is all really weird, why not do an RC?", as I do the nose-plug I notice I can breath normally. I don't panic but instead relax and lay back in bed, I nearly decided to just go back to sleep cause I still felt tired but then something in my head told me "Dude! This is a dream, you've waited for this, DON'T WASTE IT NOW!". I sat up again and noticed that the dream was still unstable, I catched glimpses of me looking around in my IRL bed and knew that I could wake up any moment. I felt the texture of the bed and concentrated on the dream till it was stable enough to support itself. When I got out of the bed I didn't feel the need to go too extreme, instead I thought about what I could actually do now. I decided to try out a transformation cause I've never done that before, and being as original as I am I choose to become a werewolf! It was morning in the dream and the sun was shining through my bedroom windows but I didn't care! I focused on my right hand, I couldn't see it but I did feel it, I expected it to turn into a claw of a wolf. After some seconds I felt the bones in the hands rapidly growing as if it grew the nails, almost wolverine-style. After some time the transformation stopped and I was able to examine my hand/paw. It looked quiet good for a first try, it had white fur with a bit of yellow which I didn't expect, oh well. Although transforming my hand was cool it wasn't a full transformation, so I thought about my arms transforming now. I felt the fur Climbing up my arms and when it reached my chest I sort of levitated of the ground, shortly after the dream ends.

      8. Sniper in training

I talk with G-man or someone and I'm a sniper in training, I get a rifle with a scope on it that looks very box-shaped. My first task is to shoot green pacman-ghosts on a pacman game, I look straight down on the game like you do in a normal pacman game. I have no problems aiming the square scope on the green ghosts and I shoot all of them. Then my next task was to shoot decomposing whales that stranded on the beach, they were still alive and panicking and I saw their skin bubbling from all the gas in their body. I walk along a road next to the beach and look for them, some whales aren't decomposing and thus don't have to be shot. I quickly spot a target, a man which I think is a researcher or something stands next to it and I think he has difficulties with the smell of the rotting whale. I shoot the whale and I think my desire for it not to explode because a man stood next to it caused it to remain intact. I walked back and I saw that the road suddenly passed through a tunnel of some sort of green algae, I saw how the waves of the sea breaking on the shore left behind a large amount of green algea and as a wave ran over the road the whole path was covered in it and even elevated by the sheer amount. It looked very dry brittle in a hexagonal-shape and at first I didn't want to step on it cause it looked dirty. However it was strong enough to support my weight and I quickly passed through. Then after that task my next and last task was to find and kill G-man himself. I looked down on some board again like in pacman and saw a military-base/city like map, there were some tanks driving around on it and jeeps. First I had to locate him but I just started shooting all the tanks from above until most of them were destroyed, my bullets seemed to pass armor quiet easy. After most of the tanks and jeeps were down I still hadn't killed G-man, then I could look through the roof of a hangar, in it were 2 more tanks stationed and a large tin can in which I think would be sardines with oil. I destroyed the two tanks but one accidently collided with the tin can and suddenly in the bottom left of my vision I saw a video of G-man in a small can with oil and I saw a hole was pierced in his shell. Then I knew G-man was in the tin can! I kept shooting it and saw in the video how the shell got more and more damaged, G-man looked quiet annoyed/angry and I saw his face being covered in the oil until the got completly crushed by the force of my bullets and the video stopped.

Well, it looks like I'll drink another 0,5l of orange juice this evening...

    11. A WILD-attempt and my experiences...

by , 06-11-2014 at 01:07 PM (My lucid comeback!)
After I was back home from the exam (French) and had sat on the computer for about an hour writing previous entry I had under estimated how tired I actually was... I was exhausted. I decided to lay in my sister's bed as it's better quality than mine and I decided to do a WILD. For the first time I decided to throw some breathing exercises into the WILD-mix and did that for 10 minutes. I was really relaxed after just 15 minutes, then I just let my mind wander around and sometimes fall back thinking "Don't fall asleep...". After 30 minutes I felt my body getting slow and heavy and my head started to tillt to the right, I didn't care and let it just happen but then something weird happened. Suddenly I feel like I get inflated like a balloon, my inner-ears swell like when you drive around in the mountains and for the very first time did I hear auditory hallucinations because previous attempts at WILD failed or I did them using Binaural beats. I heard a bee or wasp flying over my head which was mildly worrying but again I just let it happen. It happened two times but I never knew how to transition, my only succesfull WILD attempts were pretty much DILDs that happened after WILDs. Anyway at some point I fell asleep and I had many FAs and a bunch of dreams. Also my sense of time was completly distorted, I was worried when I woke up I had slept all day and tomorrow I have another exam, but in the end it was just 2 hours.

I think in the future I will only use afternoon naps for WILD and keep night for SSILD or other techniques.

    12. And so we meet again lucidity... [08/06/14]

by , 06-08-2014 at 09:46 AM (My lucid comeback!)
Alright! I had a lucid dream tonight after doing a WBTB and SSILD, if I can get frequent results using SSILD it will become my main technique for induction. I really don't know why or how it works but I look forward to next night.

      1. Killer planes...

I was with some friends near a wall and next to the wall were seats, there was an opening in the wall were a small plane frequently flew through. We wanted to sit as close as possible to the hole so the plane would barely miss us, one friend sat so close the plane near smashed his head but he said I shouldn't worry.

      2. Alright lucid, and now what?
      * (SSILD)

I was flying above a pine forest and suddenly I know it's a dream, I land in the forest and the pine trees are red and orange. On the ground level the water is 1 meter high and I do an RC to check, as I plug my nose and breath in I can clearly feel the cold air going down my throat. Suddenly I'm quiet worried of the fact I'm standing in water. (IRL I really don't like standing in water while I don't know what's in it...) A large waves formes and throws me off balance, as I go under I get teleported to a place I can't remember but it was urban. There I did the nose plug RC over and over cause I just couldn't believe it was true, then I looked at my hands and saw they were deformed. I tried flying several times but failed, after that I tested myself with some basic questions... "How old am I?", which I answered wrong cause I said "I'm 15 years old.", while actually I'm 16. DERP! For some reason after many failed attempts of flying I got bored for some reason and woke myself up. (I feel stupid now, I could've done more things...) I was suddenly in my bedroom and it was Sunny outside. Then I fell asleep again and woke up ones again but now it was raining. I got out and asked my sister who was already awake "Has it been that grey for whole the morning?", she said yes and I knew I had an FA... I should really do an RC everytime I get up now.

One thing to note is that last year when had a DJ I had my first LD after 8 entries and this time I had an LD again after 8 entries... according to the other DJ I should now have a night without an LD and then I should have a night with an LD again. Let's hope I can break the chain and become lucid tonight already!

    13. Picture perfect [04/06/14]

by , 06-04-2014 at 01:20 PM (My lucid comeback!)
Tonight I had enough sleep and upon awakening I remembered most of my dreams.
However I think I might have made the biggest mistake in Lucid history, completly ignoring a clear sign that I'm dreaming while in bed. This is what happened, I red this new technique here which I thought sounded good:

My personal method of becoming lucid. If anyone is interested. : LucidDreaming

You basicly have to mimic the feeling of an action you're familiar with (like clapping your hands) in your head while you're falling asleep and when you actually start doing this you should know it's your dreambody and you are in a dream. What happened is I tried it and I clearly felled my arms and hands clapping. But instead of thinking I was in a dream I thought I was doing it to intense and thought I was clapping in my bed IRL... I FEEL SO STUPID NOW!

      1. The Aurora Borealis

I was at school exiting the main building cause it was pause, when I looked up to the sky it was quiet dark yet the sun (which was in a weird low place of the sky, one it's never IRL) was large and yellow. I could see stars and clouds were slightly glowing blue, I was amazed by the view and it got even better. A beautifull aurora borealis formed and I shouted to people next to me "Look at that! It's an aurora!" I felled intensely happy. It was slightly snowing I think... Then I was teleported to the red square in Moscow looking towards the Kremlin Palace with the aurora and blue sky. I walked to a weird half-open building and some sort of stage was at the back, on the stage 5 mannequins in Napoleon-style army uniforms came out of several door with trumpets and started making music similar to happy Disney music. I've never been to Russia though.

      2. Dream film

This dream was like watching a film, I saw Eddie Murphy talking with someone (a guy) about some upcoming resistance they had to prepare against a nation. (in a funny way like his films usually are) They were in some sort of hideout and then the view shifted to another location filming a woman who instructed the 2 men that they had a symbol for the team. The symbol was a horseshoe but I saw it more like a general U-shape for some reason. Next thing I hear is Eddie saying they have to show it to everyone, suddenly I overlook the small house/bungalow they are in with the grass around it and other bungalows, they mowed the grass around their bungalow in squares with inside these squares the U-shape. I thought that it was a bit dumb to show it like that cause I thought the plan had to stay secret... I think they were somewhere in America, maybe Florida.

      3. Midnight snack

I was looking at a small bag with nuts in it, I saw that the nuts had different spices around them, I thought of them like crisps. My dad who stood next to me had a different snack, his nuts were larger and I think I also saw a dried pear in it. My mom who stood infront of me looked at me and I said that I would keep my nuts, otherwise my dad would eat them. My dad gave my mom a large nut and she ate it, I saw that it was a crispy nut that crumbled as she bit in it. I ate some of my own and noticed that the nuts in the bottom of the bag had a lot more different spices each, I saw this cause they had weird icons floating above them with symbols like a Pepper or a belpepper. This all took place at my school infront of the doors of the old gym. Then I was teleported to a weird place that was both the kitchen/dining room of my house and the place at school I was before. My nuts were now in a large drinking glass and I felt that my stomach was completly full. I went to the bathroom and opened a secret door that let to the kitchen.(wasn't I already in the kitchen?) I placed the glass on the table and I heard the disembodied voice of my mom telling me I have to eat all the nuts but I ignored her and went through the secret door again out of the toilet and the only thing I wanted at that point was go to bed.

      4. Back at school

I was talking with a teacher I've never seen before IRL but in the dream she looked familiar. I talked about the aurora (from the first dream) and the nuts I ate (from the third dream), we stood near the old gym and the sky was still filled with blue glowing clouds. I talked about how crazy people can get when they're addicted or really want something. That moment I looked back and had a flashback of a kid going mental because he didn't get any ice-cream, that boy stood 5 meters behind us and he friendly laughed admitting he acted quiet crazy back then. Then I woke up.

So yeah, it looks like the dreams are getting more and more detailed again, and I remember more dreams every night so we're on our way to lucidity ones again!
