This one was really short, but really weird and creepy. I recall being in some ancient city that resembles the Mayan and Aztec architecture. There is a man clad in armor from an out of place era and is being sacrificed for some unknown reason. I think it had something to do with reviving the city, but I'm not certain. The people around the area who are cheering look very modern. As the man is dangled in this cage over a fiery pit, the chief/orchestrator of all this pulls out a knife and grabs the man's hand. He then begins to slice a finger off, cutting through the metal with ease. The man in the armor gives out loud muffled cries as he does so. He finally gets the finger off and holds it up resulting in the crowd cheering. Everything gets fuzzy after that. What exactly was it all about? I'm not sure. Certainly don't want dreams like that though.
I had written these in my real life dream journal, but I figured that I should just type it onto here for good keeping. Hide and Seek I am exploring a small town. It's the afternoon and a few shadows cast slightly to the sides of small, two story buildings. There aren't any roads, for the buildings are too cramped together to allow any cars through. Exploring soon turns to running away. There is something chasing me, and there are other people running away from it too, but what or why is beyond me. It doesn't strike fear in me, in fact, it feels like a game of hide and seek. The path I'm running on however, feels linear. It's as if the road is forcing me into one direction. There are a few people to my side who are running with me, but I stop and decide to head in the reverse direction I was heading in. I think I can outwit whatever it is that's chasing me. I find a familiar entrance that was gated off earlier, but now is opened up. As I run inside, I find a glass window after turning left. As I peer through it, I find that it's a store without an entryway that some how has people shopping in it. Sensing the person/thing close by, I grab a rock and smash the window to get in. I leap inside and curl up in a ball near a clothing rack and begin to hide. The dream ends here, or at least my recall does. Pirate Ship I know that there was some connection from that dream to this dream, I just don't know what. In this one, it was night, and there is a party going on. I think I might have been running around talking with people and helping solve problems. One thing that sticks out is that someone was complaining about a sink strainer that was causing issues with the drain and asked me to fix it. After I fixed it, I began running around again to do other things and realize I am looking for something, or someone. All of this was taking place on some pirate ship of some sorts. The attire of the people around me ranged from old Victorian styles, to casual clothing. One girl approached me and asked me if I could help her pick out a dress for her. Internally, I was baffled because she was already wearing a dress, a big, poofy, black Victorian dress with a white bodice over it. Despite all that, I agreed and began to follower her. We went up some stairs and into a crowed corridor that had a window showing the outside of wherever we were at. But at this moment, I realize I found what I was looking for. Rather, who. I leap out the window after spotting someone and begin to chase them on the deck of the ship. This moment was the most memorable one, because after I tackled the person, they tell me that I need to search for some robot thing named, "Engima". At that very same moment, I look up and find that the ship is at a dock that's parallel to a concrete shore. Sort of like a shipping dock. The person disappears on me and hear explosions around me and the ship. A few bombers fly by blowing parts of the dock into smithereens and some distant buildings. The bombings are short, and I see large towers off in the opposite shore of the dock that logically make up the larger part of the city. The city has a forcefield around it that keeps it protected, but disables a large hole in it to allow high-powered hoses to douse the fires from afar without risking any firemen. As I begin to start on my way to search for "Enigma", I wake up. Conclusion Pretty cool dreams. Certainly started off pretty good for the end of the week and the beginning of my Spring Break. Probably one of my current favorite dreams too.
Last night's fragment seemed pretty vivid, even though I can't recall much in terms of length. I was in some trashy looking part of some fictional town just looking around. In front of a trailer, garbage and rusting metal lay strewn across the narrow entrance/yard. Pieces of corrugated metal bolted to wooden posts were used as fencing. I had a small flashlight which I decided to turn on. The light it gave off had a faint green hue to it and was dim as I pointed it around the ground. As I continued to move around the heaps of scrap metal, the dim light began to flicker. Whether this was because my brain couldn't handle shining a light at multiple objects, or simply because it had low batteries, I can't tell. In the dream however, I figured the batteries were low on it. As I made my way to the entrance/exit, I made a left on a concrete path. Strangely enough, I found that everything was located atop a larger than possible rooftop terrace. At the 'end' of the path, there were a couple tables at opposite sides that overlooked a huge, orange-lit, city. On one table, I found a destroyed plastic device, and sitting at the opposite table were two people. It was an older looking man, and a girl who looked in her teens. He was attempting to explain the device to her, but she kept calling it evil. From what I can recall, the device was supposed to make the user lucid in their dreams. The girl at this point was spouting insane statements about how she strongly detested lucid dreaming or something to that effect. There was also a change in time, for no longer was it night, it was now at dawn and the sky was a muted blue color. Before the dream ended, I had wanted to put the device on to see if it still worked, but go figure, my alarm wakes me up. :\ Despite the dream lasting for only a few minutes, I was at least able to recall a bunch of detail about it. I know there is more to the beginning rather than just be abruptly exploring the trailer park, but I just can't seem to remember it. I think I should write down any dreams I remember after I wake up even if it's early in the morning. Happy dreaming everyone!
Last night was a better night in terms of recall, and I'm looking forward to how tonight will turn out. I have plans to use some isotones I found off of a site called iso-tones.com and will see if they help at all. But on to last night's dreams! Abandoned Shack Recalling the past parts of the dream is hard, and I can only offer a summary of what happened. I am with a party of people, possibly from my classes, who are investigating this abandoned, wooden shack. We are searching for some girl, but can't seem to find her and give up. Somehow, I learn that this is the only semi-habitable building located outside of a city. The Mechanic and I While I'm still with the group of people, there seems to be a "leader" who is making an effort to break into the city. He was like a cross between some mechanic and crazy inventor man who was trying to break us into the city. Something was said that there was a defense shield or barrier of some sort that kept people out, and we had to try to find a way in. The dream took a slight, but apparent turn for the surreal for only a brief second as there was an oil well, that instead of shooting oil out, it was shooting out macaroni and cheese. I still don't quite understand the significance of it. We eventually broke into the city and somehow managed to get a map of it all. Inside the City As the dream progressed, I soon learned that the abandoned shack was located inside of the "Projects" of the city. The reason why they sectioned it off was because of the prison located next to it and the terrible crimes that were committed. I was now walking alone it would seem around a general urban area that looked semi-futuristic. The cars still looked normal, but the buildings had large screens on them and fancy architecture. Things took a turn for the worse as a police task force began to "zombify" people walking on the streets before beating them down with batons. Why they were doing this is unknown, just that they were making arrests of some sort. There were two officers that started chasing people across a bridge. I jumped into a car with two other people and they drove after the officers. When one officer stopped and looked at the car, the man driving the car floored it and tried to hit him. The officer phased through and disappeared leading us to conclude that it was a hologram. Later I learn that the officer employed the use of a hologram so he could attend his wedding, but his soon to be wife used a hologram at the wedding because she was an officer too hunting people down. The Old Business Square Things jumped a bit, as I found myself at a business square purchasing things at stores. It was a short fragment, but I do remember making a purchase but being told that they made a price mistake. The price went from about $400 to $80 something bucks. As I walked away, I reminisced about what the place looked like in it's heyday. Conclusion I think 3 dreams and 1 fragment is pretty decent given that dry spell I went through. I feel like if I keep forcing myself to write/type these things down, then I'll be able to maintain a consistent recall and start working towards lucidity. Figuring out more recurring dream elements besides the whole sci-fi thing would help too. Tonight will most certainly be better. Time to strive for lucidity! Happy dreaming everyone!
Can't say I remember much. I haven't for a while. There was a spaceship, and some sort of lounge or living room that had dark lights in it, but nothing really sticks out. I'll have better recall tonight more than likely. I'm also reading a book on lucid dreaming, so hopefully I can pull out useful advice and techniques from it.
It's a fragment, but a memorable one. I was wandering around some tall forest with only a crudely made dirt road. As I progressed through the road, I encountered an opening that had a few people by it. After talking with them, they told me how the area once was a thriving village, but that due to some reason I can't recall, it was abandoned. I stood on some sort of black stone slab that was covered in etched in shapes, and as I stood there, reality itself seemed to distort. As things began to settle down, I looked back and forth only to find that I was in the same village, except during a different time. I drew the conclusion that it must have been the distant past that I traveled to. There was a road that had led upward where abandoned wood buildings had lain destroyed, but now those same buildings were upright and had brilliant orange glows emanating from the windows which spread distorted shadows as people walked by. I recall purchasing two dogs, but a violent man breaking out of a cabin and shooting them to death. I then got back on the slab and went to the present, but that's where my recall ends. It's better than most of my recall this past week, but luckily I get Thursday and Friday to relax and try for a WILD then. Happy dreaming!
Just remember that I was at some suburban house that was surround by police. Next thing I know it blows up and the police travel back to downtown. Only, it's a sci-fi city and they search for some shape-shifting creature. I don't know specifics though, so hopefully I'll have it better tonight.
Tonight was certainly a better night. I had two dreams that were interesting. The first one took place in some strange setting and the other at a gym and band room. Breaking In I am on some island with a few people. I don't really recall what we were supposed to be doing though. It was in the afternoon, and the sun shone brightly on the grassy hills. I don't recall any trees, just grass. One of the hills is positioned in the center of a tiny gulf, making a crescent shape of water. The hill then turns into a mountain and erosion eats away at the ground making ravines. I am still exploring the area with those few people, but then the dream "plot" changes. The hill is now a mine in which people have been working at. Making use of the emptied part of the mines, a building resides on it with underground rooms. I can't recall specifics of the topside building, but I know it spanned from one side of the hill to another. I was standing near the building with the others when the ground suddenly began to shake. Some sort of cave-in had occurred, but nobody really paid mind to it. Details get fuzzy, but I recall going down into the mines and examining all the damage, but then coming back up for some reason. The group I was with, included the owner of the building. Nobody on the island cared for him, but suspected him as the cause of the cave-in. He'd left to head to town, or some grocery store, and the party I was in dispersed. All but two other people stayed with me, and we had decided to go into his house to see what it might have been that could have caused the collapse. We then made our way down through the mines and came across his entrance to his living space. The building was like some underground laboratory, with long glass corridors crossing a large chasms and with many rooms in between. Once again, recall gets fuzzy, but I remember that the owner made sure to keep the rooms as secure as possible. Each door had a unique lock that took all three of us to crack, it we didn't, it would either kill us or alert the owner and we didn't want to take a chance finding out which one. Some rooms had robot prototypes in them, others had genetic experiments, all of which were benign when we examined them. After crossing the large chasm through the corridor, we turned left and then made a right, bringing us to his room. I don't know what was in this room sadly, just that we found what we were looking for. At this time, one person was on guard to make sure we weren't caught, and the other was helping me explore the room. We stumbled across an extra opening that led to the surface and all decided to go up, but that's where my dream recall ends. Jazz Band This one is relatively short. I was in my school's band room getting ready for some concert. My teacher told everyone that there were some new instruments that came in. One of them was a weird piano looking instrument. I got on it and started playing a song, and everyone joined in. Nothing as exciting happened in this dream though. Conclusion Well, my recall has been getting better. I notice that a recurring theme seems to be settings that take place underground, and have futuristic technology to them. Overall though, I think the reduction of stress in my life has contributed most to my increase in recall. Happy dreaming!
Just a short fragment. I was with a few people making my way through some building in search of someone, or something. I came to a white room after what I think was a firefight with either security guards or some mercenary force only to find what I had been searching for. It was fragmented, near death, whatever it was, and I had come to rescue it. I stared up at the ceiling after examining the thing and saw a thick bluish-purple liquid splotching and seeping out of the foam tiles. I acquainted the liquid as the blood of some creature that was part of whatever I fought before. I wish I remembered more of this dream and just exactly what it was that I rescued along with how it went all down. Hopefully it was my dream recall. Well, happy dreaming everyone else!
I remember being on a plantation and inside a gym. I also remember in another dream I was stung by a few bees. Nothing else really sticks out. I've also been sick these past few days with a cold, so I don't think that has really been helping my recall out. Hope you all have better luck than I do though!
It was only a fragment, but it's better than nothing at this point. I was in a cave that was lit up by a few slits in it's wall that let in sunlight that seemed to indicate that it was around the afternoon outside. Inside there were a few cave creatures such as spiders and crabs. I was down there with somebody, but I can't recall who. Like I said, it's a start. I still haven't completely figured out what has really been causing my decline in recall, but I still believe it's stress since that's the only problem I have right now.
Wow, I can't seem to recall a single thing at all. Not even on the weekends it would seem I can't recall anything. I need to figure out what's been blocking me from dreaming so I can find a solution. Whether it be stress, diet, or something else entirely, all I know is that it needs to be fixed. Now then, hope everyone has better luck than me! Happy Dreaming! :I
Well, still can't remember anything. Stress has really been getting to me, but hopefully I'll have a dream tonight.
Well, still faced with practically no recall. The only thing I remember is something about a city, family members, and stress. I guess it's a start, but not much of one. Oh well, hope you all have better luck than me at least!
I remember pretty much nothing these past 2 weeks. I suppose I'm going through some dry-spell right now, but I figured it's best to make post anyways as to keep the mentality of remembering my dreams in general. Stress from school hasn't helped either, but hey, it is what it is.
