    1. Dreaming of False Sleep Paralysis

by , 09-05-2011 at 07:02 PM (Dream Space, The Final Frontier)
I dream that I have sleep paralysis. I need to get up and check the doors and locks. I roll out of bed and crawl along the floor. I can feel the carpet, the walls and doors as I make my way around my apartment. I feel very heavy and lethargic. Every so often I feel my eyes open and I can see my pillow. I'm still in bed, but I can feel the apartment as I grope around to check the locks on the doors. I somehow know my body is moving around the apartment but my mind is stuck in bed. Maybe I'm imagining my movement around the apartment but am stuck in bed.

The whole thing was a dream, but I had several false awakenings in it. I would "realize" I was still in bed, stuck in sleep paralysis in my dream and then crawl around again to check the locks. After a minute, I would realize I was still in bed, unable to to really move. The whole process started over several times. It gave me a very paranoid and fearful sense of my situation, like I was in danger and unable to do anything about it. I felt unsure what was real and if I was awake or not.

    2. Unsummonable Dream Figure?

by , 09-05-2011 at 06:56 PM (Dream Space, The Final Frontier)
I'm on a flat rooftop in a downtown area. I see two dream figures on other rooftops. One is Keanu Reeves, dressed as Neo from the Matrix. Or maybe it is Neo, not Keanu? The other is Alec Baldwin. He's wearing a dark suit, but it's not as futuristic or intimidating as Neo's trench coat. I chose to head towards Alec. As I'm talking with him, I realize this is a dream. I tell him, "This is a dream!" as I hug him. We start to float away. He seems a bit surprised but giddy. Then I realize that in a lucid dream I can do what I want to do. I set Alec down and fly off towards a small wooded area.

I recalled reading that I could spin and make a dream figure that I want to see appear. I say aloud, "When I turn around, xxxx will be here." I spin and marvel at how the landscape is changing as I turn. The imagery spinning past me is sort of pix-elated, like it is is forming before my eyes. Alas, when I stop spinning he is not there. I am very upset that this did not work.

I feel the dream starting to pull away, like I might wake up. I remember that staring at my hands will stabilize the dream. I look at the palms of my hands. Surprisingly, there are a few small cuts on my hands and as I keep staring at them, more cuts appear. I find that odd and a little disturbing so I stop looking at my hands. I am convinced that the dream is stable though.

I say aloud, "xxxx will be here soon." He does not appear. In the distance I see a house with a few trees around it and a small ravine behind it. I say, "His house is down in that ravine." I start walking towards the area, hoping to see his house once I have gotten to the edge of the drop off. It is not there. I'm very confused.

    3. Lucid But Out of Focus

by , 09-05-2011 at 06:46 PM (Dream Space, The Final Frontier)
Some friends and I are sitting around my dining room table. We're playing a game or just hanging out. I can feel the wood grain of the table under my hand. It seems so real, but something is not right. I say aloud, "This is a dream!" There is a very loud BANG! Everything goes fuzzy and out of focus (like a camera that is set up wrong). I realize that I can hold the dream together. I can see colors and can hear still but can't really make out what I'm looking at. I know where everyone is sitting though. "I'm in charge" I think to myself. I turn to my right, towards one of my friends and tell him "Kiss me." He does. We make out for a few minutes. I can't see anything but I can feel him and I'm in total bliss. Things come back into focus slowly as I lose lucidity and fall back into standard dreaming.

    4. A Walk At The Beach

by , 09-05-2011 at 06:40 PM (Dream Space, The Final Frontier)
I'm at the Outer Banks - not the real Outer Banks, but a surreal version of them. There is the open ocean to my left as I walk along a thin strip of a sand. To my right is calmer waters and past them a wooded shoreline. It's cold out. I'm walking alongside a nice looking young man. I keep telling him that we are walking where some movie was filmed. We walk into the calmer water on the right-hand side. He won't let me go too deep since I can't swim. He seems nice.

    5. Art Deco Robots and WiFi Lovemaking

by , 09-05-2011 at 06:35 PM (Dream Space, The Final Frontier)
I'm a silver, female robot. My design is very smooth but art deco. I have a very large, round "skirt" as part of my robot body. I'm in the arms of a golden-colored male robot. The dream switches between first person view and third person perspective at times. I ask him if I am pregnant yet. I don't "feel" pregnant. I sense a wireless or radio signal emanate from his torso, beamed towards mine. Somehow my programming "knows" that I am now pregnant.

The dream transitions to a more realistic setting. I am in my teens, living at my parents house. I have a baby that is a few months old. I fear that the baby will grow his first tooth and make feeding a problem. Sure enough, the baby suddenly has a tooth. I can't feed the baby and it won't let me sleep. Mom and Dad yell about the baby keeping them up. I cry at them, telling them that I am getting no sleep either.

I try putting the baby in a cardboard box with air-holes, so that I don't have to look after it and can get some sleep, but that doesn't sit well with my conscious. I suddenly realize the baby can talk and try to strike a deal with him so that everyone can sleep.
