    1. Lover's Quarrel

      by , 11-12-2014 at 07:13 PM
This is a dream that I neglected to write down immediately, consequently details were lost. I was in the art building at my college in Johnson County. There I saw Damara Megido. The Slipknot song "Snuff" began to play as Megido turned away her estranged Matesprit, Rufioh Nitram. Those familiar with the Homestuck comics would know what this is about. Rufioh cheated with someone else but unlike in the comic, Rufioh was here to try and get her back but Damara was having none of it. The song that was playing in the background fit perfectly with what Damara was trying to get across. I could the words very clearly as I began to awaken:

So save your breath, I will not care.
I think I made it very clear.
You couldn't hate enough to love.
Is that supposed to be enough?
I only wish you weren't my friend.
Then I could hurt you in the end.
I never claimed to be a saint...
Ooh, my own was banished long ago
It took the death of hope to let you go

Well said Damara and good luck...to the both of you.

Of course I do not remember the exact details of what Panty Anarchy said to me. But as I picture the fallen angel, sitting on her bed and recollecting her story, I can imagine what it was to first come out of her mouth. An out of character statement filled with nostalgia, fondness, and regret. One that would set the theme for this dream: "I love my sister."

You see Panty called me into her hotel room for a specific reason. Those familiar with this character would already have a pretty good idea as to where this situation might be headed but they would be wrong. She called me in to lend her an ear and that was the extent of her intentions. She wanted someone to lament to, someone she could trust. Those familiar with the this character would also be familiar with her sister: Stocking Anarchy. It was a fallout with her that caused Panty so much grief. I entered and sat on a chair in the corner. She sat on the bed looking down at her feet. I was there to listen and so I did.

"I don't remember how long it's been since I had last spoken to her but it has been quite a while. Maybe even years. Stocking and I did not always get along, I'll admit, but it was never this bad. She and I have never spoken or even looked at each other since that day we had our falling out. And now I don't think that we will ever reconcile." Panty slumped over even further. I might have even seen a tear or two fall from her eyes. "I know that it's partly my fault. I know that I was prideful but what was I to do?" Panty's fists clenched and I saw her sorrow gradually transform into anger, "It was all because of her. This never would have happened if she had never come into our lives. You know who I mean, that fucking bitch Vurgent!" Vurgent was another fallen angel. One who does not exist within the show but only within the dream realm. Vurgent is the name by witch this hostile was addressed. She was a sower of discord as she was the direct cause of the fight between Panty and Stocking, though I do not remember the details of exactly how this transpired. I don't remember leaving but I must have.

Later I found myself in the lobby of the hotel. There were pillars that were surrounded by rectangular monitor screens. The screens were playing a trailer for a new video game that was coming out. This game was based off of the lives of Panty and Stocking and game footage that was being shown just so happened to be of a scene between Panty, Stocking, and Vurgent. Vurgent dressed in a red shirt and skirt and had red hair, she wore it in a long pony tail. She bore a striking resemblance to Kyoko from Modoka Magica. The Anarchy sisters were chasing Vurgent down and were quite anxious to capture her. They were clearly furious with her but I did not know why. I was suddenly struck with feelings of sympathetic anger towards Vurgent. The Anarchies used to be good friends and now thanks to her the were indefinitely estranged. I began to root for the Anarchies as the chased Vurgent down even though it was just game; a trailer, let alone.

It was there that I just so happened to see Stocking and she too was watching the trailer. I spoke with Stocking like I spoke with Panty but she did not harbor the same sentiments as her sister. She expressed feelings of unrelenting hostility and anger towards her sister. She completely blamed Panty for the situation and she expressed absolutely no desire to reconcile with her sister. I don't think that anything more happened after that.

    3. A Daughters Betrayal

      by , 11-12-2014 at 04:16 AM
      11 November 2014

I was an assistant to Prince Zuko. I have no damn recollection as to what it was I was assisting him with but I was his assistant in something. The last thing I remember is that he and I were in some kind of kitchen that had it's walls and ceiling missing. One might believe this lone kitchen to be the remains of some old building that was razed long ago but this kitchen was fully operational and it was clearly hooked up to the grid. He and I were in there making pizza hut style pizza and we could not wait as we were both quite starving. I remember the setting was peaceful. This rogue kitchen was set in a jungle and it was a perfect day; not a cloud in the sky. But our sense of security would be cut short in a blaze of shouts and gunshots. Before Zuko and I both knew it we were being face with the barrels of several semi-automatics and armed soldiers. And given the shape of this room, we were effectively cornered.

Now my reaction was typical of any man who is scared shitless. I threw my hands up and Zuko followed suit. I tried to reason with them but the volume of my please could not match that of their threats.
Note: at one point I change perspectives and see through the eyes of one of the hostiles. From his perspective everything behind him and his crew is completely pitch black and the only source of light is coming from the kitchen.
Switching back to my perspective I realized why the hostiles were still shouting. The upturned lid of the pizza box was obstructing their full view of me and they were afraid that I may have been hiding something behind it. At this point the female leader of the group demanded me to close the lid down. Of course, I obeyed. The somewhat young leader (whom I now name Iza) was Zuko's daughter apparently. And much like his sister Izula, His daughter had now respect for him. I did not know what Zuko thought but I am sure it must have hurt to be betrayed like this by his own daughter. They took us but I do not remember exactly what happened in that regard.

This was a very vague dream and I cannot recall much but I do remember that during our time as Iza's hostages, Zuke and Iza were able to reconcile. I do not remember exactly what became of our situation but I imagine that she let us go. I never did figure out what her original intentions were for us and that is probably a good thing.

      Trivia
At some point Korra showed up but I do not remember much about that.
Zuko appeared to be in his early 30s

      Chapter 1: Brain Grubs
The events that transpire I can’t well explain
I stuck some white grubs into my brain
      Carnivorous grubs these creatures were
And when I did this nobody stirred
One after one I placed into my ear
They crawled through my eardrums but I could still hear
I did not scream nor did I care
You must understand I wasn’t all there
What happened next? Well they ate my brain!
Why I did this? I can’t well explain.

      Chapter 2: Trashcan Girl
So my friends and I were strolling through a camp. I don’t know what friends I was with, nor do I know what kind of camp it was but it was not the kind of camp a person wants to be at. I am guessing it was something like a refugee camp but I cannot be sure. I do know that this camp was inhabited by Chinese prostitutes and their pimps. It was the hour of twilight and my friends were wandering through the streets of this camp and came down a dark ally. There was a trashcan in the middle of the ally. We didn’t think anything of it until a prostituste popped right out of it. She climbed out without saying a word and just stood there. Confused, we were about to say something when another prostitute came in with their pimp. She peeked in the trashcan for her fellow night girl and was shocked when she could not find her. Of course Trashcan Girl was standing right fucking there but, you know, whatever.
“Excuse me,” she said to us, “But have you seen our friend. She was just in here but now I can’t seem to find her.”
“Here I am!” Trashcan Girl suddenly exclaimed. Happy to have found their friend the three of them leave the ally and continue on with their business leaving us to try and make sense of what had just happened.

Chapter 3: Ponies in Dead Space
I was not in my own body but rather I was a passive observer as I observed through the eyes of another denizen. And who was this denizen? Non other than Applejack! Applejack was walking through a giant medical spaceship. It was like a moving hospital where injured travelers could go. A necromorph outbreak had taken place on the ship but the workers were doing all they could to make sure that this did not interfere with their work. After all, they had important work to do. People were counting on them. Applejack was on her way to see my grandfather who had come in contact with the infection some how. He had not come in direct contact with a necro so he could be saved but he had to go through some sort of industrial grade decontamination machine.

Applejack was following the way-point that was programmed into her rig armor to find my grandfather. She came across Pinkie Pie and Rarity who were playing cards at a table in front of a giant window that gave view to a big brown nebula in the background. They were having a personal conversation each one discussing some problem that was going on in their lives. Applejack attempted to chime in with her problems but they were still talking to each other.

“Darn it!” she said, “Why are y’all ignorin’ me? I got problems too.”

The princess Twilight Sparkle walked in and she said to Applejack, “You barged in to vent your problems but you completely disregarded theirs. I don’t excuse their ignoring you but what your doing is worse.” So Applejack left them to keep talking and her waypoint took her down a narrow corridor. I was able to feel what she felt as I saw what she saw. So when she became nervous about what may be waiting ahead, I could feel as though I were there myself. Before continuing Applejack made a point to check her Strife Specibus to see what kind of weapon she used. I don’t remember the weapon she had. She also checked the fetch modus in her sylladax and saw that she had some kind of modus that turned objects into apples. With all of this noted she continued on. She turned the corridor to find herself in between two steel shelves much like the shelves we have in the Walmart backrooms. There were three pallets of mulch that were blocking her way. She proceded to climb over them. She was half way over when the dream ended.
    5. A Heart of Ice

      by , 08-11-2014 at 09:28 PM
I was working back at the YMCA of the Rockies in Colorado, eating at the dining hall where we were given a full view of the mountain ranges. We had a new comer to the YMCA. A young boy probably around eighteen. The only thing that I can remember about him is that he was white with blond hair. Somehow he had manage to get into the subject of his dad and I have no memory as to how I felt about his story. You see, his dad was kind of an ass. Somehow he had managed to form some sort of partnership with an ice elemental that I will now name Eira. Much like your stereotypical ice elemental, Eira was evil. Or at least she did evil things; things that this kid’s dad got mixed up in. Things that his family got mixed up in. I don’t know the whole story but I got the feeling that his father alienated his family because of it. Anyone could see that this boy (who’s name is now Jack) had absolutely no interest in seeing his father again. But, of course, you know what happens when you speak of the Devil.

Sure enough, a tall middle aged man showed up at our table and had a seat. Now this guy, I do remember. I will call him Herman because it was the first name to come into my mind just now. He wore a grey shirt and had brunet hair with signs of greyness. He was all together pleasant but his aspect clearly made Jack uncomfortable. Now I don’t remember how this happened but at some point the man got to talking about Eira. Jack did not like him talking about her as it only served to reopen old wounds but he kept going on. Then he turned to me. For some reason he had commissioned me to fight her. I thing he wanted me to get rid of her. She was now at Snow Mountain causing trouble and he wanted her gone. Perhaps he wanted to be out from under her thumb, perhaps he really did care about the trouble she was causing here. One thing’s certain, she was the cause of a number of problems and they would not be resolved so long she was still breathing, or at least that was the assumption.

I ended up meeting with her in the front part of the dinning hall and we got to talking. I remember her aspect well. She was made entirely of ice but could still move with the fluidity of a normal human. She wore white and light blue clothing and had white hair. The only thing that I can’t remember about her is her eyes. She actually was not that bad of a person to talk to. The things that she did were wrong (whatever those things were) but that did not stop us from hitting it off. I grew to like her and she grew to like me. This, of course, was a rather frustrating revelation for we knew we could never be together.

After several unmemorable events I found myself in a dark hallway. As I pass by the right chamber in the hall I see Eira there training for what was going to be our final battle. I had agreed to fight Eira to the death in order to put an end to whatever harmful enterprise she was pursuing at Snow Mountain. She and I exchanged a glance but never spoke a word to each other. I then went up to a chamber on the left side of the hall where I would run through several laborious levels of some sort of training gauntlet. I barely remember running through them and once I was finished I returned to the training room where Eira was and we exchanged another look. This was it, I didn’t care what she was, I was ready to say “screw it all” and be with her. But as I approached the training room to tell her this a man pulled me aside. It was Herman accompanied by the architect who designed the gauntlet. Herman told the architect that I was to fight Eira. Impressed by this the architect led me back to his room where he wanted to hear my plans and show me more gauntlets. Eira and I never saw each other again after that.

      Chapter I: Three Travelers
I don’t remember the events preceding but somehow some friends and I had come across three hikers in the snow. We were in a forest in the middle of winter. The forest was somewhat thin. The hikers were injured critically and were suffering from hypothermia. They had amnesia and had no idea what had happened or where they even were. Somehow we were able to surmise that there had been an avalanche and they were caught in it. We got them back to my apartment and took care of them. I do not remember how the hikers looked but I do remember talking with one of them. A young woman (probably mid to late 20s). I think she and I had an engaging conversation. I have a feeling that she shared with me aspects of her life that were of importance to her. I remember feeling particularly bad for her because her injuries were much more severe. I left her wondering if we would get a chance to speak again…we didn’t. She died the next morning.

      Chapter II: Necromancy
There once was a man who believed in ghosts
“I know them, I hear them, I see them,” he’d boast
I worked with this man, I knew him well
How this came to be, I couldn’t tell
He came one day and shouted, “Come look!”
“Look what I have! A magical book!”
“This book is special,” he said to me.
“Open this book and ghosts you will see.”
The book was black, a green skull on the front
It looked rather trite if I could be blunt
“How does it work?” I asked this guy
“Open the book, it will blow your mind!”
      “There’s a portal! A portal! A portal inside!”
“That allows you to meet those who have died!”
So I opened the book and so there was
A window inside to ghosts abuzz
The ghosts were green and had red eyes
Then I heard a voice, “Have you lost your minds??”
I look and I see, a woman is there
I don’t recall her looks, not even her hair.
The woman came up and then she said.
“What is your problem? Are you sick in the head?”
“Now listen here and listen you,”
“Those ghosts are hostile. They’ll rip you in two!”
What happens next, I cannot recall.
So our chapter ends here. That is all.

      Chapter III: Zero-G
It was a normal work day in the backroom at Walmart. It was the latter part of my shift and by this time I was doing picks. I was going to speak with coworker, Sean, about something when suddenly I saw him lift off of the ground. Soon after, I was off the ground too. We, along with several others there, were floating towards the ceiling.
“God damn it!” Sean exclaimed, “Some idiot turned off the gravity again!” Fuck ups were commonplace at the store I worked but until now I had no idea that there was gravity plating beneath the floors of the backroom. I questioned the need for such a thing in a place like this and who on earth would have been stupid enough to reverse the gravity plates (which we apparently have)? I began to consider the consequences of what would happen should I break though one of the skylights. I began to panic at the thought of floating out into space and being lost forever. Anxious, I began to claw at the shelving just beneath me. My fears were unfounded as the gravity plates were set right and we all floated back down. I was embarrassed for panicking the way I did.

      Chapter IV: Night Ride
For some reason, my car was out of commission so I had no other alternative but to ride my bike to work. The moon shone brightly in the sky as I rode through the commercial district of one of the small towns. Before I knew it there was a whole line of bikes ahead of me and behind me along with a few cars. I loved riding in this makeshift convoy. But my bike was uncomfortable because the handle bars were low so I pulled over onto the median, making sure to stay out of the way of the other riders, and pulled the handle bars as high as I could. So I rode on but the handle bars were still too low for me and it was very uncomfortable to ride. At the next light, I lowered my seats and was very grateful to the people behind me for their patience as the light had turned green as I was adjusting. They were all very cool about it and didn’t say a word. So I rode on and now I was comfortable. I vaguely remember making friends with a girl who was riding with us but I don’t remember much of the details behind that.
I got to work and was ready to start unloading the truck. My heart race when I thought I heard my supervisor say that we had a 7000 piece truck to unload. I asked him again and I was sure he had said 7046 this time! Which was odd because I could see inside the truck and it didn’t look like that much. I walked up to him and asked how much we had to unload that day and I clearly heard him say 1746. A sigh of relief left as we started to unload the truck. I had a good feeling about tonight. I had a feeling that this was going to be a good night.

      Chapter V: The Machine
There was a scientist who had managed to set up shop in the back rooms of Walmart. He was trying to work a machine that could open up portals to other worlds. His attempts were futile as the machine had never worked. But perhaps now it would. You see, this man had an ace up his sleeve. A young boy probably around thirteen or fourteen. This boy was his a assistant.
He turned to this boy and said: “You there! You will be the one to power this machine! The power to make this work will come from you!” The man pulled out a small empty plastic box that was connected to the machine with a couple of wires. The boy stepped in and sat down in the box without saying a word. The man then activated the machine. Exact details of what happened next I cannot recall, I just vaguely remember sporadic bolts of electricity and the ultimate failure of his machine followed by curses from an angry scientist.
“Damn! Damn! Damn!” He shouted, “Why didn’t it work!? Damn it, Boy! Why didn’t it work? Why didn’t my machine work!?” But the boy did not answer. He was dead.
    7. Betrayal: Siege of the Crystal Empire

      4 January 2014

Note: This is the first dream where the dialogue is memorable enough to jot down although much of it will need to be paraphrased. There will be some holes in the dialogue. Believe it or not this is one of my favorite dreams because it is one of the most vivid and made for a good narrative (I love dreams with good narrative). Anyway it may not be the most positive but it is definitely the most interesting dream I have had.

[~]-used to indicate hole in dialogue

There may be some phrases I use that you don't recognize

Aperture-a random opening that leads the dreamer to (what seem like) completely random spots. For example: a closet door that takes one from his bedroom out to an open field or a classroom door that leads from the classroom out to the edge of space would be considered an aperture.

"Denizens" are what I call my dream figures.

It was nearing the last day of the final year of Prairie Park School. Me and all of my friends sat around a table in a dimly lit room. Sitting there was my friend from scouts Nick, he sat across from me along with Sarah. Next to me was Alternian troll, Terezi Pyrope. The school was deserted and we sat silently. Sarah sat working on her paper for her finals or something; I cannot recall what everyone else was working on I just remember that it was silent; no one said a word to one another. I had eyes for Terezi, I am not sure why. There was an aperture at the top of the steps that led into the house of the apple family and I do believe that the other denizens had use of the aperture. I was staying with the apple family and was in a room with four bunk beds. I think I was bunking with Alicorn Princess Twilight Sparkle. Now Twilight was unusually quiet and seemed to spend most of the dream brooding over something, people didn’t even notice her existence. The strange thing here is that Twilight was in her usual pony form whereas the apple family consisted of anthropomorphic versions of themselves. There was not much happening beyond this point in time that I can well remember.

The next day was the same as the first; we all sat in the exact same spots in silence. Sarah worked silently on her paper while everyone else seemed to sit staring at the table. Terezi was just outside of my field of vision to my right. The room was the same as it was yesterday, empty, dim, somewhat eerie. I wonder what everyone was thinking as we approached the end of the year. What was going through everyone’s mind? What was going through my own mind? Even I did not know. After nearly two straight workdays of complete silence Sarah finally spoke up and said: “Dammit! Being friends with MT was a waste of time [~] can’t get this project done because of him [~] wish I was never friends with him.”

I heard this and felt as though I had been knifed in the back by a friend. This was not a sentiment that I was unfamiliar with. One would think that I would be used to it by now, nonetheless it stung. Just as always the wound felt fresh, as though I was experiencing this pain for the first time because, the truth is, you never do get used to it no matter how many times it happens and no matter how much you try and convince yourself otherwise. I was even more shocked to find that nick shared the same sentiment as did every one else there. I was unable to recount exactly what was said but there was definitely a common theme amongst the group: MT was a waste of time. I was blamed for everything that was wrong in their lives and I tried to defend myself but I was not given much of a chance to speak.

I was catatonic. I had no idea how to react and didn’t even have a firm grasp on my own thoughts. I was slumped over, staggering like a drunk. If the human mind really is designed to respond to a verbal attack as it responds to a physical one then it was a miracle I could even stand after such a merciless beating. I made my way through the aperture hoping to get away from all the hate and negativity but it seems that the fates had declared me undeserving of such respite. I would say that the apple family’s attitude towards me had changed but honestly I don’t think they liked me to begin with. The only thing that had changed was the volume at which they voiced contempt, that is to say, they were no longer keeping their opinions to themselves. Lazy, worthless, words along those lines which were spoken by the apple family, hurled at me from all directions. I did not have supper that night. Confused and upset, I retreated to my room. Although I suppose technically it was our room, Twilight Sparkle was still there although mentally she was lost in her own little world all day everyday. I was not surprised to find her in the exact same spot I left her slumped over on her bed with her wings hanging limb over her shoulders; just…thinking.

The next morning was no better than the previous night. I went out only to be greeted by more insults and put-downs. I think my peers from school were there at the house having breakfast and they willfully joined in on the onslaught. A huge unmemorable chunk of time passed before I was back at school with my so called friends. There wasn’t much change from yesterday except that the denizens were wandering around this time exchanging the same dialogue they always had been. At some point I saw Terezi and I tried to grab her attention: “Don’t talk to me,” she said angrily as she began to storm off. For the first time ever in this dream segment I had a clear grasp on my emotions. I knew what I was feeling and I knew exactly what I wanted to say. I could feel it in my cheeks, my skin tone would not show it, but I was red. I was furious! Much so that I was trembling. Such wonton hatred from a girl to whom I have barely even spoken. “STOP!” I shouted, “Just fucking stop, and listen, please! You at least owe me that.” She did not say a word nor did she turn to face me but she did stop. She stood still with her head raised as though to say, I’m listening.

I struggled to gather my words as a lump had formed in my throat and I would be damned if I gave her the satisfaction of letting her see me cry. “What is my crime? What have I done to you? For fuck’s sake! Where is any of this coming from?”

She turned her head slightly, “You wasted my time…you didn’t like me back.”

      “What?”

She turned to face me with trepidation in her voice, “I liked you, you idiot! I liked you all this time [~] I sent you all kinds of signals and you never returned the sentiment! I wasted the year trying to get your attention and looked over me completely!”

To this I did not cry, I did not shout, in fact, I smiled. I smiled and I began to chuckle and soon again I started to laugh. I was not happy about what I had just heard, in fact I was livid. But what she had just said was just so fucking ridiculous, how could I not laugh? “Are you serious? Are you fucking serious?? You are all pissy at me for not reading your mind? How could I have known? You never fucking said anything! And, newsflash, I liked you too!”

“What? Then why didn’t you say anything, idiot!?”

“I didn’t know what to say [~] you didn’t say anything either and you don’t see me abruptly snubbing you now do you!?”

I do not remember her response but our friendship was never repaired. We turned away from each other both in an angry huff but before I walked away I turned and asked her: “What about the others? Why are they angry with me?”

She barely turned to me again; her words were cold steel “You wasted their time too. You held them back.”

On my way back to the aperture I heard them going on about all of the things that they could have accomplished if they hadn’t of known me. I left them without saying anything; back into the cold unwelcoming residence of the apple family. Even Apple Jack did not care to speak to me and I still had no idea why. I retired to my room with my roommate Twilight. I may have spoken to her; venting the events of the past three days. I didn’t shout nor did I yell; I just talked to her. I knew she didn’t listen and I knew that she was not cognizant of me or even what I was saying. She was too preoccupied with her own naval gazing but it was nice to have someone to talk to about this regardless. I fell asleep that night for the last time before I was taken out of myself.

Imagine that I am a camera drone getting a view of the table at which the four of us were sitting.

ZOOM OUT: I see the school, Prairie Park, among buildings but these are not ordinary buildings; these are crystal buildings. Among the buildings I see jet black, jagged, and spiky vines growing amongst them. The top half of the sky seems to be over cast with vines.

ZOOM OUT: I see more of the city now. There are more vines wrapping around buildings and getting in the way. Aside from a small break towards the tops of the shorter sky scrapers the vines seem to come together to form a dome over the city. Anyone could see now that the city is being consumed.

ZOOM OUT: I now have a full view of the city. There is no doubting that this is the Crystal Empire coming under siege by a merciless onslaught of parasitic plant life.

ZOOM OUT: I am now miles out of the city which appears to be floating in an eerie nebular haze. The city is in between two hemispheres composed of these vines both of which are closing in on one another. There is but a small break in between the two hemispheres and in a matter of moments they will make contact; entrapping The Crystal Empire forever.

I see one vine stretching away from the mass towards a small floating house orbiting the city just a few miles out. This was the house at which I was staying; that is where the aperture had been taking me. As I get closer I see Twilight Sparkle smiling at the catastrophe through the window as though she were marveling a masterpiece. I knew that she was responsible for this as I could hear her internal dialogue for the first time.

“I know what I am doing is wrong,” she said “and I also know that I am not myself.” Dark music plays in the background as she dialogues: “Perhaps I should stop this and end this madness for the sake of my friends who are trapped inside, but why should I?” I understood now what was going on in her mind. She had been hurt by people, Lord knows how many people and Lord knows how close to her these people were. She had been betrayed and lied to and now her pain was made manifest through these vines.

Now here was her moment; her moment to choose what she will do. Will she save the Empire from certain doom or embrace the darkness that is gradually overtaking her heart and allow this kingdom to be consumed? As the vine grew closer to her an evil grin grew ever wider across her face, it was clear at that point: a choice had been made. The vine reached for her and Twilight extended her hoof ready to grab it. It was as though darkness itself was extending a welcoming hand and Twilight was ready to accept. She was ready to embrace a life of anger, sadness, and revenge.

Just before Twilight grabbed the branch she thought to herself: “I did not really care about The Crystal Empire for what is a pony other than a mere insect?”

That was the very last thing I heard before waking up and it is the only line I remember verbatim. The music cuts out as my eyes open.

      Trivia
Terezi Pyrope was the odd one out as she was the only non-human at the school

The house looked just like my third childhood home aside from my bedroom which resembled a slightly bigger college dorm.

I have seen this nebula two other times in previous dreams.
    8. Walton's Laboratory

      by , 07-04-2014 at 07:08 AM
So there are several weird things that take place in the dream realm. There are some things that people didn’t know. For example, Walmart’s warehouse (at least at the one where I work) doubles over as a massive laboratory in which revolutionary experiments are held. The laboratory is much bigger on the inside than it is on the outside and right now they are going through a bit of a rough patch. I was a high ranking technician in the lab and I was forced to leave my department to go help another department with something.

The laboratory was massive and resembled the interior of the USG Ishimura from the video game “Dead Space.” Much like the Ishimura the backroom laboratory had been overrun by zombie alien monsters known as necromorphs. The necromorphs shunned the light so they did not go where the light was. I was safe so long as I remained in the lit areas but due to sporadic power outages there were certain dark areas where the necros lurked. The infestation was being taken care of by necromorph exterminators to that we could continue our work while the necromorphs were dealt with. We were each issued RIG armor (also from “Dead Space”) and firearms that we may be able to defend ourselves should we ever come across any necros.

Now it was quite the hike from point A to point B and according to the waypoint that had been programmed into my RIG, the quickest rout was a straight shot through various departments. Honestly, I thought for sure that I would not have clearance to pass through these departments and that I would have to take the long way around but much to my shock: I was greeted warmly as I passed through each department. In fact I had a very good reputation throughout the entire laboratory.

Unfortunately my waypoint kept pointing me through dark areas that the exterminators hadn’t reached yet. I had my gun drawn and ready in case I ran into any necromorphs in those areas. Luckily those areas just so happened to be vacant at the time that I passed through them. As I got closer to where I was supposed to go I passed by some massive dark areas that had been fenced off by the exterminators. Needless to say, I made a point to avoid those areas. Now here’s where things got complicated. The way point began to fade as I got closer to the objective and it pointed me in the direction of a dark area that had not been fenced off. I trembled as I stood before the area as the thought of setting foot in there frightened me. Luckily I did not have to go in there because the waypoint suddenly pointed left into the brightly lit break room just before the darkened area. I did not know why the waypoint led me hear but at that point I did not care. I saw a friend of mine, Alec, sitting at one of the tables and one other person there. He and I went to the fridge to get sodas for ourselves but we could not find any. That is where the dream ended.
    9. Anna: The Search For a New Home

It was dark in the Battle Star dinning hall. There is not much that I can recollect in terms of general mood but I can only assume it was not terribly downcast. Years back humanity was forced out of his own planet by the androids and now we were all riding through space on The Battle Star searching for a new planet to call home. Among us was the cast of the show “Battle Star Galactica” and President Barack Obama. Now years back a little girl had died of disease on The Battle Star and since then this girl had become a mascot of hope for the crew. Her legacy is lived on through this strange song that the crew sang all the time. The song was called “Anna’s Wonderful.” It was literally just a long song of praise towards this girl. They probably admired her so much since this girl had fought so hard to stay alive. I actually remember the song clearly
      The song went:

      Anna’s Wonderful
      Anna's Perfect
      Anna's Wonderful
      Anna’s Great

We were teaching it to the President whom I suspect was our latest arrival. Now the dinning hall was dark and only had a few lights. I hear a woman whispering to her friends about the possibility of more androids being in The Battle Star. Which made me wonder…Could she have been an android? I kept my mouth shut as I suspected that it was not her intent to be heard.

      Morning Nap

Princess Luna is a character from My Little Pony

Note: A lot of the dialogue in this dream was influenced by the Steve Wilkos Show that was airing on the TV IRL.

I was quite irritated that I should be so tired in the middle of the day. Especially considering that I hadn’t really done much of anything that day-at least not that I could remember. I was reprimanding myself for not getting enough sleep, again. I was walking in a walkway that was built into a large crack in the side of a cliff (it was reminiscent to a similar walkway in Zora’s Domain in Twilight Princess). So I was walking down the walkway and I was virtually unimpressed by the beautiful scenery that I was looking at. Then again, it’s not as though I was looking at much. I look across the huge crevasse in which this walkway is built and I only see a wall on the other side and a thick cloud of fog down below.

I admit I was not fully cognizant of myself and I was mostly preoccupied with the question of how to deal with my fatigue. I thought that maybe I could take a swig of Pepsi; I remembered having three in the fridge back at home which I found odd because I didn’t remember buying any to begin with. My ever so important train of thought was interrupted by a text message. It was from this guy I barely knew from High School. He was accosting me for not pulling my weight on a project that he and I were supposed to be working on together. I must have been more tired than I thought. I mean, what was he talking about? What fucking project?

Such a bother, I was not at all happy to be having to work on this project (whatever it even was) nor was I happy to be working with this guy of all people. I would spend the majority of that day questioning when I was ever drafted into such a partnership. What school was I even attending at that time? Not JCCC, that hadn’t started yet. After I got the text I crossed a huge stone bridge that led to a huge aperture on the other side of the crevasse. The aperture led to some city park in the mountains; the ingress was opened in the parking lot. There I ran into Princess Luna of Equestria. I told her about my dilemma with this project and that I couldn’t even remember what the project was. She proceeded to tell me of an iphone app that would be able to deter people from contacting me about projects that I did not want to work on. I strongly considered the app and I liked the idea of keeping that annoying ass from contacting me but I also question how this would help me long term. I thanked The Princess for her suggestion and bid her good day. Maybe I should have bowed? Whatever, I don’t think she cared.

As I looked around the city park I immediately noticed that the park was full of hostiles and heavy hitters all of whom were disguised as normal denizens. Any idiot could have seen through them…or so I thought. I was amazed to see batman standing there in the middle of the park just not doing any thing. All these villains were walking right by him and he didn’t even notice. I suppose that I should have said something but I suppose that I simply did not give a damn. Either that or I was so distant that the thought never occurred to me. Later on I noticed Steve Wilkos speaking to a man about his wife. The man was lamenting about the fact that his wife had chosen a life of crime. It started with prostitution but then the crimes she committed became much more sever, even to the point where she ended up working for The Joker. He drew the line when his wife started to work for a space pirate. As they were talking about this two more hostiles were walking in between them; jumping over the small crevice before them.

Steve’s guest led him to the flying pirate ship on which his wife now worked. The pirate ship was on the other side of this crevice. As I was following them I ended up walking behind a Dersite imp who was poorly disguised as a business man. On the deck of the ship the crew was nowhere to be found and the man described into further detail what it was that his wife did and how she got to where she was. I stood indifferently by them and observed them converse about the subject and I found it amazing that they were not the least bit creeped out by my blatant eaves dropping. Steve gradually began escalate in anger and found it amazing that this man did nothing while his wife went out and prostituted herself every night. Steve firmly let this man know that he was partly to blame for his wife’s progression to the dark side. Just over the stern of the ship I could see the man’s wife prostituting on the side of an active street in broad daylight (a flashback projection of the story this man was telling).

I can’t well remember how we got into the backstage hallways of the Steve Wilkos studio but I was there standing idly and watching the conversation unfold. At this point Steve made it very clear that this man was very much at fault for not just his indifference but his subtle promotion of his wife’s behavior. The last thing I heard Steve say before waking up was, “You’re a sick bastard.” Now at this point I was gradually growing more cognizant of myself and my emotions and was starting to internally react to the conversation. I began to feel for the man but I also began to understand what Mr. Wilkos was saying. This man saw that his wife was journeying down a dangerous path and now she is working for a band of marauding space pirates. How could he not see that he had a hand in her descent?

A Khajit is a mythical creature in Elder scrolls

      18 April 2014

I do not know where it was I had arrived in this strange and ambiguous world we call the dream realm but it would appear that I had arrived at the perfect time, reader. You see, in this particular region of the dream realm resided a neighborhood of upscale families and wealthy business men. Everyone had his nose up in the air but I did not seem to mind. Now there was one family in particular who stood out from all the rest. This might be an ironic statement as the family that stood out the most was very family that had put forth the most effort not to stand out the most. But it seems that their attempts at privacy backfired for it is their obvious effort of reclusion that seemed to spark everyone’s curiosity. What was this family? What were they hiding?

Now there are some things we did know about this family. Or to be more precise were things that the neighbors knew and things that I had learned from them. For one the entire family tree from then until now was exclusively human. There was no non-human blood dripping into the family’s gene pool which, among the dream realm’s incredibly divers population, is a fact worth mentioning. The reason for this is simple: the family inbred. Like other rich families before them they believed in keeping these things within the family. It was the idea of sharing wealth with “outsiders” that really did seem to repulse the family more than the sexual vice of incest. Another thing is the simple fact that the old man who owns the family business is about to bite the dust.

Now the family was so well sheltered that many members did not realize how famous they were. However, they would have to come out of hiding soon enough as their father had just died and now the multibillion dollar business is up for grabs. There was no standard next of kin inheritance here. It seems their father would have preferred a much more interesting alternative. There would be an auction held among the family and the business would go to the highest bidder. This is where the true nature of the family was made apparent. They came out from behind the veil of anonymity for the first time in decades and the spectators were in for a big surprise. The family was not united in the way that people once believed. Many of the family members were actually quite immature and they were fighting over one thing, the business. Another thing that surprised the denizens was that the family was no longer exclusively inbred. There were Khajit among the family members, which means that at some point in history a Khajit has managed to wriggle his way into the gene pool.

Now the auctions took place at an amphitheater just outside of the neighborhood and it was not a silent one. I sat far right of the auctioneers along with everyone else there. They all watched in amusement laughing at the immaturity of these people. I had no feelings either way but the denizens who were watching the spectacle clearly had lost all respect for this family. After the auction the families were talking about what had happened and what was revealed. “I cannot believe they are out and about after so long.” One of them said. I asked an upper class woman why there were so many Khajit among the family members and she said, “It would appear that at some point in history a member of their family slept with a Khajit.” A Khajit. Someone slept with just one Khajit and yet now there were so many. This told me that even after this one misstep the inbreeding had not ceased. The Khajit were now just mixed in with the vice.
    12. Eurydice

      Date Not Specified

More often than not, you are not fully aware of yourself when you are in the dream realm. More often than not, you may find yourself in a nonsensical scenario full of questionable details and content. There aught to be many questions running through your mind as the situation unfolds before you but alas, your mind is not there. Such was the case for me as I wandered through the forest with this strange girl who I shall deem: Eurydice. There were many perfectly valid questions that I did not ask when I was wandering through this region with Eurydice. Why did this strange girl remain only just outside of my field of vision? Why were we wandering through this black forest? Why did the sky glow with such a dark red color? Where were we exactly and where were we going? So many questions that should have rang through my mind as I walked side by side with Eurydice. So many questions that I did not bother to consider.

There were many questions that I did not bother to ask but there was also information that I already knew. I was aware that I was in a forest with this amazing girl. I knew that the sky was red. I knew that we were ascending up a superficial incline that was protruding out from the side of a cliff. I knew that there was at the very least a seventy degree drop to my left one that was stifled by a row of black trees. And I also knew that this girl, walking right by my side, was the most amazing girl with whom I had the pleasure to spend time. I knew that I was more than happy to be by her side and that she felt the exact same way about me. We made each other happy, Reader. We did not have to do or say anything to each other. All we had to do was exist. Her aspect alone was enough to fill me with joy. It did not even matter that I could not fully see her. Just having her by my side was enough.

We did not know where we were going, we knew not where the path would take us but it did not matter to us. We ascended confidently and without fear. Indeed we were not afraid. Quite the contrary, in fact. There was something about being out in the dark wilderness that made us feel at peace. We felt relaxed there and the incline did nothing to delude the fact that we were happy where we were. So we ascended and we moved and we made our way to the top, she and I.
I can only presume that we made our way through an aperture that was waiting for us at the top of the incline for when we got there we found ourselves in an entirely different setting. We were in a suburban area that was built on the side of a mountain. The streets zigzagged up the summit of the mountain just like any mountain trail would. We were greeted by a population of extremely bubbly people. The setting was very warm and sunny and everyone seemed to be overjoyed here. Everywhere we were greeted with enthusiastic smiles in this bright in sunny pleasant little town. It was so…disgusting.

We could not stand this place nor could we stand these people. Everyone and everything about this place was just so saccharine. We both felt suffocated by the fuzziness of this town. We were desperate to get away from that place, so we did. We ran back down to the aperture and found ourselves back at the top of the incline. Back in the black wood. We were alone again and once again we were happy. A sigh of relieve came from us both as we were greeted by the still silence of the forest dark. I may have looked straight at her for the first time in this segment but she was shrouded in haze, rendering her unperceivable. This did not matter to me. As I stated before, her aspect was enough. We joined hands and proceeded back down alone together once again. There were no other people, no animals, there weren’t even any insects to fill the forest with the slightest bit of ambient noise. Not even the wind gave any sound. There was nothing here. It was just her and I. And that was all we needed.

      Trivia
The forest bore a striking resemblance to the third forest level in PacMan World 2.
The town was reminiscent of a mountain city I saw on google images.

      26 July 2013

It was the hour of dusk in the quiet town of Gale, a city that I have visited several times in previous dreams. I can’t well remember how I became mixed up in this crew but I had no complaints. I was a member of what may have been a private investigation group. Either that or a mercenary group. Such a distinction might be obvious between these two different labels but the thing is, I am not sure what it is we were doing what we were doing or for what purpose. But I might be getting ahead of myself. I was a member of a shady group of four. I cannot remember what the group was or if it even had a name so for now I shall refer to us as “The Midnight Crew.” A gang name borrowed from a popular web-comic, but I digress.

As I said before, there were four of us. One was a tall man, slender, and dressed in 17th century casual European attire (let’s call him Damien). I suspect that he was the leader of our group. Another was a spry young girl; she could not have been any older than thirteen (let’s call her Leena). She was young and hyperactive but she was also agile; a very useful member of our crew. Then there was a tall young woman with silver hair and dressed in white armor and clothing (Leila). This woman looked like something straight out of an RPG. Funny thing is: Leila was our tech savvy. She was the one who hacked electronic locks and circuitry. She was the very serious one. I can’t remember seeing her crack a smile at any point during the dream. And then there was me; the rookie of the group.

Our services were drafted by a middle aged woman whose name remained undisclosed. She came to us with a request to retrieve a young boy and bring him back to her. She offered up a reward of course. Now this is where my confusion becomes valid. I am not sure if we were private investigators or some kind of mercenaries or underground couriers. Now as one reads through this he might assume that the woman coming to us is a mother in distress over her lost son but that is not quite how I remember this being portrayed. There was a woman, yes, and she did draft us to go in search of a young boy but I do not believe that this was a mother. I remember that she was quite stern in this request. That is to say, she seemed indifferent to the boy’s well being. I don’t think that she was concerned about the boy but rather the investment behind him. I believe that she may have been part of a bigger organization; one that seemed to be invested in this boy for one reason or other (there is even a chance that she was our employer...maybe, not very sure on that one). But her reasons did not matter to us for our job was not to ask questions. I am sure that “No questions asked” existed somewhere within our mantra.

Now there is no question in my mind that we were underground couriers but little did we know that we were getting mixed up in something serious. I don’t remember why but there was an investment in this boy. One that was so vital that two opposing groups would do anything to get their hands on him.

So now back to the story at hand. It was the hour of dusk and we were walking through the dark streets of Gale. Gale always was an anachronistic city which seemed to be fitting to the anachronistic wardrobe of my colleagues. The mist that was gathering around the streets of the 17th century style town only made the scene that much more ominous. We started out by asking around but I remember that most responses were hostile (maybe they knew who or what we were). But I suspect that the streets had been over taken by the enemies of our client because there was a part of town that was full of nothing but hostiles. I wish I could remember how the struggle went but there are only few precious details that I can remember. As we fought our way through town square we met a man in one of the stores who was obviously taking cover from the bullets (assuming the hostiles were using firearms). This man was a friend of The Midnight Crew. I call him Paul, a jovial soul who was dressed in a black 17th century suit (that’s how most Gale-ites dressed) and a dark blue cape. And fortunately for us he had the boy we were looking for. Now I don’t quit remember how our conversation with Paul went but I remember that he was somehow mixed up with these organizations and he somehow got us to agree with some plan of his. We allowed him to take the boy for a while after he promised to meet us later on and hand the boy over to us. The boy was eerily stoic; he never even spoke and maintained a calm demeanor in this epic frenzy.

We tried to fight our way through the rest of the hostiles but they proved to be too much for us. My heart pounded as we detoured through the stores of the city. Thankfully all of the buildings were interconnected so we were able to continue in our mission while avoiding the hostiles. I remember how relieved I was to be away from them.

Now the events following are extremely hazy and I cannot recant them here. I just remember that my misadventure with The Midnight Crew eventually led to my separation from them and I ran into this strange gothic girl. I believe this girl to have been Ruby Gloom. I remember that there was something about this girl that rubbed me the wrong way. She was seemingly pleasant but I found it difficult to trust this one. Now Ruby had a story, one whose complete makeup was lost in memory. She was an exile from another land or another world. She was here for reasons unknown and was in the middle of a rivalry with an ocean dweller that was now on land. Squid-Girl was this rival’s designation. I think that Ruby believed Squid-Girl to be partly responsible for her exile.

After more hazy stuff happened (including several strifes between Squid-Girl and Ruby) I ended up in a college. I was there under Ruby’s direction and was now working completely independently of The Midnight Crew. I guess there was a something bigger going on, something that tied in with this college, that mysterious boy, Ruby and her rival, Squid-Girl. I didn’t know how this all tied together but I knew that more answers could be found at this college and Ruby was going to help find them…or so she said. Ruby and I warmed up to each other as time went on. She seemed to consider me a real friend and I can’t say that I was far from returning the sentiment. Not to say that she didn’t have her annoying flaws. She was very cocky and arrogant and she thought very highly of herself. I hated that about her. And not to mention she loved the sound of her own voice. I was still somewhat weary of trusting her. There was still so much about that I didn’t know; most importantly, her motive. She didn’t strike me as the type of person who gave out of the goodness of her heart, so why did she agree to help me? What was in it for her? I made a point of keeping these questions in the back of my mind.

The college had its own private beach. Not a real beach but a man made beach. One with artificial ocean waves and whatnot; similar to what they had in the City of Columbia. Now this beach was a place where the students used drugs recreationally (and yes, the college was okay with this). Ruby was also posing as a student here at this college. She was somewhere else and communicated with me through some chat client. I was extremely uncomfortable here on this beach. I didn’t like being around so many tripped out junkies in one place; something about that scenario spelled disaster to me. And I was not entirely sure if the other students liked me but looking back: it may have been in my head. The recreational drug usage was interrupted by a massive storm which brought forth a huge tsunami. We all escaped the beach alive but I was not sure if this tsunami was an accident. What a thought! That someone somewhere actually had the power to cause such a great feat of nature. Perhaps I was becoming paranoid. Or perhaps not. Didn’t my partner say something about Squid-Girl having elemental powers over the sea? This whole investigation just keeps getting more and more interesting.

At this point I wander off into a tangent of unrelated events. I find myself on a bus with my highschool marching band and we are on our way to a performance. We are on our way to a five star hotel and I cannot wait to finally get there because I really have to take a piss. And that’s pretty much it. I don’t know what the point of this is. Could this have been a dream within the dream? Because I have had those. Seriously I have. Whatever, back the dream at hand.

After that random ass tangent of events I was back at the beach. It was not long before another storm hit and another tsunami took place. But this was only the beginning of a series of extremely unfortunate events. After the beach was evacuated the organization that had the boy came and began fighting it out with another group. Could my presence have brought them here? There was also something big emerging from the sea and it threatened to destroy this school. Hell was indeed being raised and my class mates and I needed to find someplace safe before we were all killed. As I was running with the crowed I saw a huge projection of ruby over the rail of the walkway. I don’t know if it was a holographic projection which she set up herself or if it was just a projection of the dream which only I could see. But what I do know is that I hated what I saw. She was there just laughing her ass of at the mayhem that was ensuing. I knew that she couldn’t be trusted. I don’t know how but she planned this and I was pawn in this sick little game of hers. A friend indeed.

We successfully evacuated to the safety of the school theatre. It was the last safe place left here in the school. All the while we were there I could only think back on that image of my partner laughing at me and everyone here. There was no longer any question that I was nothing more than a means to an end but what end? Damn it! What was all of this about? What was I mixed up? What was this leading to? After a few minutes of thought one of the IT students brought up a radar map of the school and the beach and showed everyone how the tsunami started. I was right. It was not accident. According to the IT and his radar map the tsunami was caused by a giant creature approaching the school from the water. It was let in from the back end. This was no doubt the work of Squid-Girl.

After several more events that I can not recall, I was reunited with The Midnight Crew. We were back in the City of Gale making our way through the maze of commercial facilities. Several of them were dark due to some kind of orchestrated black out and I could not help but get anxious whenever we entered a dark facility. I mean after all, the city was full of hostiles. But the darkness was short lived because each time we entered a dark room, Leila would rewire the circuits in the rooms and bring the lights on. We made our way into a dark kitchen and, after a few minutes of rewiring by Leila, it was well lit. But the relief was short lived as we were immediately attacked by hostiles. I remember seeing Paul there and the boy was with him. Was all of this really centered around him? I still could not believe that this all could have been orchestrated by one girl. I never did figure out what motive was. One thing that I could never get over. If she really was just using me, then why did she open up to me the way she did.

The dream changed possibly before the brawl ended. I was no longer a participant; I was now the observer. I suspect that I had gone back through time (possibly by several years) to observe one of the seemingly unrelated events that may have led up to that frenzy. Poseidon, king of the sea, was working at a seaside store. Squid-Girl emerged from the ocean surface with her boyfriend and attacked him relentlessly. She destroyed the restaurant killing everyone inside and came down on Poseidon with huge tsunami waves. She also knew how to handle a trident. I was really impressed; Poseidon really didn’t stand a chance. I felt kind of bad for him; I felt that this was a blatant act of treachery on her part. The last thing I saw was Squid-Girl, holding down the king of the sea as he lay on his back with her hand pressed firmly against his forehead. She was in his face with a stone cold look in her eye no doubt saying something menacing to him. I didn’t see what happened to Poseidon but judging by Squid-Girl’s demeanor; I doubt that she was merciful.

Note: At some point during the second evacuation (or it may have been during the final strife in the kitchen) I got the inkling that there was an unknown third party involved in all of this. Ruby and Squid-Girl were the two primary antagonists who were pulling the strings in this entire debacle. But I could not get past the feeling that there was an unknown third party who was sitting back idly and watching Ruby and Squid-Girl. I felt like someone was observing their rivalry closely and waiting for the right time to make his move. Perhaps he was waiting for one of them to engage him or perhaps he was waiting for them to do something. Perhaps he was hatching a plan that would arise from their plans.
    14. My Dream Terms

As I have continued to journal my dreams in more vivid detail I have come up with a few dream terms that I may use to describe recurring elements in my dream. This was simply for the sake of brevity so that I won't have to describe the same thing every damn time Since this is the first page of my electronic dream journal I will go ahead and post this first. It seems appropriate.

Since I am doing this I may as well ask: Does anyone else do this?

Note: These definitions are based on my experiences with dreams and mine alone.

      Denizen
      Any non hostile dream figure.

      Familiar
A familiar is a projection who is allied with the dreamer and/or is highly important in helping the dreamer’s progression in some way. The familiar will typically stick with the dreamer for a good portion of the dream. The dreamer and the familiar do not necessarily have to like each other as long as the familiar works with the dreamer. Once a familiar is encountered s/he may be encountered again in a later dream. In such a scenario the familiar may (and probably will) recognize the dreamer and vice-versa. I suppose you could say “once a familiar always a familiar.”

      Hostile
A hostile is a standard enemy that the dreamer may face in a dream. Hostiles are set on working against the dreamer in some way. Gunmen, Zombies, or anything of the like would be considered a hostile. This one is pretty self explanatory.

      Heavy Hitter

A heavy hitter is basically a hostile that is very much harder to take on, abscond from, or kill. They are the ones that cause the dreamer a great deal of trouble and pose a pretty nice challenge in a conflict. This could be a giant monster, an extremely powerful sorceress, a powerful super-villain, or simply another person who would pose a considerable challenge against the dreamer. The dreamer may spend a good amount of time dealing with a heavy hitter and it will usually leave a lasting impression on the dreamer after awakening.

      Siren
A siren is one of the more dangerous types of projections that I have encountered yet. The modus operandi of a siren is very similar to that of a witch from “Left 4 Dead.” They walk around posing as normal denizens and may even begin to attach himself to the dreamer as a familiar. They may smile, laugh, and even exchange pleasantries. But once a siren is triggered s/he will reveal his/her true colors. In reality sirens are very feral, highly sadistic, and hell bent on killing the dreamer. Sirens are agile and considerably strong. Despite their feral ferocity, sirens are capable of using weapons such as knives and firearms making them that much more of a challenge. They can also take the form of animals. A siren’s physical appearance does not change once s/he is triggered. He still maintains the appearance of a normal denizen (typically a human). I have never been able to kill a siren.

      Boss
A boss is a projection whom the dreamer is almost exclusively intent on hunting down, either to capture or to kill. A great deal of the dream is focused on this task. In normal cases with me a boss is the primary source of most problems and hostiles that I am faced with and any and all conflicts will be resolved once this particular projection is out of the picture. The boss does not necessarily have to do any fighting; I have spent entire dreams just chasing bosses down because they could not match me.

      Aperture
An aperture is a random opening that leads the dreamer to (what seem like) completely random spots. For example: a closet door that takes one from his bedroom out to an open field or a classroom door that leads from the classroom out to the edge of space would be considered an aperture. Denizens and Hostiles alike seem to be aware of these apertures and use them just as I do.
