    1. Morning of 2/15

      by , 02-15-2012 at 04:42 PM
This double posted this morning, and I couldn't figure out how to delete it. Lucky for me, the neighbor stopped chainsawing for a short time and I was able to have another couple of dream fragments before my kids woke me up. So here goes!

Fragment One: I'm outside, holding my little girl. My house looks like the elementary school I went to. It looks like the old building that I had classes in and they tore down a 15 years ago, not the new building. There's a delivery man writing on a clip board. His truck has no delivery service name on it, it's blank. The delivery man isn't wearing any real uniform either. He's just wearing tan pants that won't go over his big belly and a blue button up work shirt that also doesn't cover part of his belly. Luckily it's warm, probably summer. I'm barefoot. The man turns around to get in his truck and I notice that an ink pen I bought as a matching set with my BFF falls off his clip board and onto the ground. I'm mad because I think he tried to steal my pen, and while it's cheap, it has a lot of sentimental value because Ambies lives several states away, and since we have matching ones, everytime I use it I feel a little closer to her, like the distance isn't so bad. At the same time, I feel like it'd be rude to confront him on the issue, and I don't want a confrontation, so I just bend down and pick the pen up as fast as I can, and shove it in my pants pocket. Then I shift my little girl so that her leg is covering it up in case he turns around and sees the pen and tries to take it again. I walk to the other side of the delivery truck while the man is squeezing in to see if there's a logo on the other side of the truck. I don't want to go inside before he leaves because if I turn around my toddler's leg won't be hiding the pen anymore. I'm really worried he's going to take that damn pen, lol. On the other side of the truck I see something shiny, so I walk towards it. The truck engine starts and I look over my shoulder to see it pulling away. I feel so relieved he never came back looking for my pen. The shiny thing catches my eyes again, so I go over to pick it up. It's a very shiny curly piece of metal. It takes me a minute to realize that it's a Wine bottle opener. I wonder why it's on the parking lot when it could pop a tire, then I realize that it shouldn't here anyways. This is an elementary school, it being here means some kid had wine! I rush inside the house/school and my mother is in the kitchen. I hand her the cork popper and say, "Look what I found in the parking lot." She looks at it questioningly,
      "What is it?"
"You screw it into the top of a wine bottle, then squeeze it to pop the cork out"
"Why was this in the parking lot?"
"Apparently one of the kids is drinking!"
Then I wake up because of a loud noise at the neighbors house, I think their dogs barking.

Fragment Two: I'm in a dark kitchen. Even though it's dark, there are round lights handing from the ceiling. I reach up to touch one and it breaks. I can hear someone behind me in another room yell, "Hey, did I just hear something?" I reach up to touch another light and it also breaks. The person in the other room yells again, "Dude what was that?!" I go into third person view. In the kitchen is a really tall skinny dude that I recognize as me (In waking life, I'm a girl! I'm also barely five feet tall and on the heavier side of average weight wise.) there's a arch style doorway, and the room between me and "me" is a living room. There's a white couch pushed against the wall the kitchen and living room share. A guy is sitting on it with a ridiculous looking white hat. The knitted style that has flaps to keep the ears warm and little poofy balls that hang down past your shoulders. My friend calls then Ron Weaselly hats b/c he wears one in one of the Harry Potter movies. The guy is watching tv with the lights off, so his face has a blue glow. My view shifts back to first person and I walk into that living room. The guy never takes his eyes off the tv, but asks me what that noise was, did I break a cup? I shake my head and say, "No way man, I'm breaking the lights!" He flips out, "What the hell dude?! My land lord is going to kill me if you break the lights!" I laugh, then say, "He'll get over it man. Lets break all the lights in the house! It'll be awesome!" The other man says, "Not cool dude, leave the lights alone, seriously!" I shrug, then reach over the guy on the couch where there's a weird chandelier like lamp that has icicle shaped light bulbs dangling. I take two at a time in my hands and start crushing them. The guy on the couch pushes me and says, "Stop it! That's not funny dude! My land lord is going to be pissed your breaking his shit." I laugh and he pushes into me again. I find it even funnier that he's getting so pissed. I make a teasing face at him, then rush into the kitchen to break the rest of the lights in there. He follows me trying to grab me and stop me. I break another round light in the kitchen. Then my kids wake me up!

    2. Morning of 2/15

I only have a small fragment of a dream today. I usually don't dream before 8 am, and if I do I very rarely remember them. This morning my neighbor happened to be cutting trees at 8:30, so I was jolted awake and lost what very little dreaming I fit in. What I can remember is two bird like people, sort of like horror movies versions of the bird people in The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. They had people faces, but with big triangular beaks in the spot where their mouth and nose should have been. Their skin looked an odd color, kind of greenish almost. They had long hair that extended down nearly to their waists. instead of arms, they had long wings. One was taller than the other. The taller one had red feathers and hair, while the shorter one had brown. They were dressed in formless rectangular dresses with no sleeves. The material reminded me of this cheap thick off white fabric my mom used to use to make mock ups of patterns before she tried them with pretty fabrics only to find a flaw and have to make them over. I think the stuff is called muslin but I could be wrong. There was really pretty rainbow colored embroidery on them though in zigzag line and diamond patterns. They had a very creepy unnatural look and feel to them, like some of the puppet creatures in the 80s movie the Labyrinth. I also remember a man acting very odd. The sun reflected off from him to almost make him look like he was made of some sort of golden orange light, and he was standing with his legs spread like a bow legged cowboy. He started jumping from leg to leg, like I always imagined Rumpelstiltskin dances when he thinks the queen will never learn his name. I think the bird people were watching the man, but all I can remember are the two separate images, so they might have been a totally different part of the dream. They were creepy enough to be seered into my mind, I can see them in my mind like looking at a photograph even though I woke up two hours ago (though I've been trying to go back to sleep, I'm hoping when I go on about my day I'll forget them!)
