    For So Long

    1. I had just crawled under a wall that had a 3 foot clearance underneath it. As I crawled all the way through and got up on the other side I found myself in the cafeteria of a large school/college. The walls in here were a bright vivid yellow, and the ground was made of off-white tiles. Just then I remembered that I had forgotten my snap-back at home, which was odd because I have a habit of always wearing one. "Gah damn, it's the first day in college already" I said to myself. I looked behind me as I saw many other kids my age stand up after crawling underneath the wall. I didn't recognize any of them. "Fuck I forgot my backpack and all my school stuff" I thought to myself, frustrated.
Everyone seemed to be walking in the same direction, and I had no idea where my first class was, or any of my classes for that matter, so I followed everyone else for the time being. Everyone walked down a hallway that was to the left of the cafeteria. Upon walking down this hallway I saw 3 doors. They seemed to all be classrooms, but everyone walked into the 3rd and last classroom, and so I did as well. Inside of this classroom the walls were still yellow, but the ground was made of carpet instead of tiles now. The teachers desk was centered at the front of the classroom, and all of the desks in the classroom were put together in groups of four or five. I walked and sat in the group of desks that were in the bottom right corner of the classroom. Immediately as I sat down the teacher spoke, "Alright class, get out a pencil and a piece of paper." Stress came into me as I knew that I had neither of these things, but for some reason I reached into my pocket to see if I had a pencil anyways.
As I reached into my pocket, I felt something that felt like a small pencil. I pulled it out of my pocket and to my expectation it was a really small pencil that still had a bit of usage left in it; and lucky for me, it was even halfway sharpened too. Only one guy in my group of 4 people had paper, so he gave out a piece of paper to the 2 people sitting with us except for me. "Dude can I have a piece of paper?" I asked. He looked really mad. He just looked at me like he was already fed up with everything completely, and then he proceeded to sloppily rip out a piece of paper out of his notebook and then hand it to me. I looked at the piece he had given me; it was basically only half of a piece of paper and was incredibly uneven, but I was going to make use of it anyways and it didn't really bother me.
Seconds later, the dude who gave me the paper snatched the paper out of my hands and ripped it in half, and after that he threw that piece of paper on the table. I looked at him with a blank face. "Wow what a douchebag" I thought to myself. Suddenly the teacher said, "Alright everyone, get up and follow me. We are going to the on-campus theater." With that, everyone got out of their seats and followed him out of the classroom and down the hall. After a minute or so of walking we arrived at the theater. As we all walked inside I noticed that the lights were off and that there were no actual seats, just metal bleachers for us all to sit on. There were two sets of metal bleachers, one section was on the right side of the room, and the other section was on the left side.
Another class was already occupying the section on the left side of the room, so my class started getting seated on the section on the right side of the room. Once everyone got seated a girl came to the front of the room and started talking to us about something. I recognized this girl as Jordan, a girl that went to the same high school as me. I quickly lost interest in what she was saying. I began to look around the theater. As I looked to my left to where the other class was sitting, I scanned through the people to see if I knew any of them. Then the unexpected happened. I saw A. Right as I looked at her she looked at me and our eyes met. I looked away quickly not knowing how to react. Seconds later everybody started socializing and Jordan no longer had an audience that was paying attention.
I continued sitting in my spot, thinking about A. "What are the chances?" I thought to myself. I looked around once more and noticed that half of the people in my section of bleachers had left. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I see A get up and walk over to my section of the bleachers. She came and sat right one row up from my row, and she sat directly behind me. Her hair was shorter than usual, at the moment it was a little less than shoulder length, but nonetheless she was still as beautiful as ever. "Hey Cory, I know we haven't talked in a while" she whispered in my ear. She continued to whisper many things in my ear, many things of which I don't remember. I distinctively remember A's soft voice right in my ear, and feeling her breathe hit it as she whispered. Towards the end of our whispering conversation I remember her telling me, "I want to start to over" and I knew she was talking about "Us".
I was shocked to say the least. After not talking to her for over 4 years, she comes up to me and tells me she wants to start fresh. I remember just sitting there, staring out into space. For so long I've wanted her, for so long I've loved her and have never went a single day without thinking about her, and then this happens. I didn't know what to say. "I agree, let's start over" I ended up telling her as I looked into her soft brown eyes. I saw a strong passion in her as she smiled back at me. Happiness looks so good on her. Suddenly the tone of the room changes as Jordan throws up large amounts of vomit. I was still in the clouds, not really caring about her throwing up. "Oh my gosh that's so gross" A said in the girliest way ever.
Then to add onto the sudden change of tone in the room, a pipe in the wall of the room busts and water starts flying everywhere. At this point I am still daydreaming within the dream. A brings me back to the present moment, "Cory do something!" she tells me in a scared voice. I get up out of my spot and walk over to the pipe to put it back together to prevent it from spraying anymore water. A few other guys join me in the process. Once we fix the pipe, the theater movie screen starts falling off of the wall. Myself and the guys helping me out quickly went over to it and caught it before it fell. We begin trying to find a way to secure it back on the wall.
Suddenly I wake up due to an extremely dry mouth and not being able to breath through my nose at all.
