LD #41 (+ another interesting one)

2/6/2011 – Did I have a Lucid Dream and forget it?

I believe I had a lucid dream. What I remember was waking up (false awakening) in my bed after a lucid dream. I wrote some key notes in the notebook I keep beside my bed. Then I got up and left my bedroom. I walked out and I was out in a park, near a lake. One of my coworkers was there and so was my wife. I ran over to them and told them all about my lucid dream. Later, when I actually woke up, the only thing I could remember from the LD was testing out my superpowers by doing a bunch of gymnastic movement. I started with spring backward onto my hands, then feet, hand, feet, hands, feet, then into a triple back flip, and landed on my feet. I remember this part clearly, but nothing else. I really don’t know if I had an LD or not…so I won’t count it.

    2/10/2011 – LD #41 – Money triggers lucidity

Finally, a good LD; and it was pretty long. I remember dreaming about being back in my parent’s house. I was in my room, which was much larger than it was in reality, and my mother was there helping me to move furniture. I then left the room and went outside. The outside of the house was actually a cabin in the woods (it looked nothing like my parent’s house). I took my car and drove down a hill and parked just off the road. I walked through a small area of woods and exited into a large open field. There were people there, including my wife. We were going to play softball. Then my wife told me that I had parked in someone’s yard and I would have to move my car. I looked to my left and there was my car parked on the grass right next to a house. I felt bad, ran back to my car to move it…except it wasn’t my car anymore…it was a small plastic van (about 3 feet long) which looked just like the van from the A-Team. There was a seat and steering wheel on the roof of the van and peddles on the sides. I straddled the van and began peddling. It moved along at a good pace and I peddled it out onto a road. I went right past the field and waved to the people. I was having fun peddling around on the toy A-Team van. I peddled up a steep hill; I could actually feel my legs struggling to peddle up the hill. I went over the crest of the hill and the pavement ended. The road became a rough dirt road and there were old train tracks running down the middle. I stopped my van when I noticed some money laying on the tracks. I ran over and picked up a few one dollar bills. Then I looked further down the tracks and there was more money. I was very excited and jogged over and picked up a large bunch of bills, some ones, some tens. I looked further down and there was more. As I moved toward the money a kid (about 7-8 years old) ran over and grabbed a bill. It was a two dollar bill. I saw another two dollar bill in the dirt and picked it up. Another kid ran up to me and I gave it to him. I didn’t want him to feel left out because his friend had found one. Suddenly, I realized how strange this was that I was finding money all over the place. I looked at my left hand, and didn’t even need to count my fingers because they looked as squiggly and weird. I’m lucid. I remind myself to stay calm and not to think of myself back in bed. I jog back to the van and straddle it. I decide I want to ride it down some steep hills. I peddle up a small hill to my right. As I reach the top I will the other side to be a very long steep drop, like a roller coaster. When I go over the crest there is a 100-200 foot, almost vertical, drop before me. I am very excited and peddle the van over the top. I zoom down the drop, smiling all the way. The woods on both sides of me are a blur and I can feel the sensation of me dropping at high speed in my stomach. I come to the bottom and will the van to roll up the next small hill, and will another large drop on the other side. I do this three times and I am having a blast. On the forth hill I leap off of the van with my arms out to the sides in a swan dive. I free fall hundreds of feet laughing with glee all the way. I land on my feet, into a low crouch (how I picture superman would land after zooming to the ground). I run forward and I’m on the golf course in my old neighborhood. I want to fly. I leap into the air and soar upward. I do a full loop-de-loop and then hover. Everything starts to get dark. I worry for a moment that I am about to wake up. I see a tiny dot of light above me and put all my focus on that. The dot of light gets brighter and then thousands of other dots appear before my eyes. They are stars and I am looking up into the night sky. I drift down until I touch the ground. I am still at the golf course, but now it’s night. There are several DC s around me. There are four I don’t know, but I recognize two of them; my old friends John and Dave. I hug them both, smile at them, and then leap back into the air. My flight stops as one of the DC s has grabbed my legs. I land and look at him. He has brown hair and is wearing a brown leather jacket, white t-shirt, and blue jeans. I am extremely annoyed. He tells me that he won’t allow me to fly. I laugh and respond, “This is my dream and I can do whatever the hell I want.” I reach out with both hands and grab his neck. I squeeze and his flesh is like putty in my hands. I pull my right hand up, and push my left and down and pop his head right off his body. There is no blood; it is as if his body is made of clay. His body falls backward onto the grass and I toss his head down next to it. I comment to his head, which is still looking at me with animated eyes, “How do you feel about that?” He doesn’t answer. I notice a building, which was not there before. I jog over to it and go inside. It is a small dinner. There are booths, tables, and a counter. I decide I want to eat some sweets. I move over to the counter and lean over to see if there is anything behind it. I see the grill and cooking utensils, but no candy. I think to myself, “this is my dream and I want some candy.” I look to my left and there is a wire rack with gum, breath mints and a bunch of Dove chocolates. I grab a handful of the chocolates and place them on the counter in front of me. I sit on the stool behind me and unwrap the foil packaging. I put the chocolate in my mouth and it tastes incredible. It is the best chocolate I’ve ever eaten. I let it melt in my mouth. I take the next piece of chocolate, and instead of unwrapping it I simply pinch it between my finger and thumb and it pops out of the wrapper. I eat this one as well. Then I think, “This is my dream, why do I have to unwrap these?” I wave my hand over the pile of chocolates and will the wrappers to be gone. I pickup and put the next one in my mouth. For a moment I can taste aluminum foil, but I will it to be gone. I eat 5-6 more pieces without any issues (no more wrappers). They are absolutely delicious. I glance out the window and there is a street lined with white brick buildings. There is also a cooler case (like the ones in a supermarket where they keep soda) in front of one of the buildings. It is empty except for a cat (which is white with brown spots). I consider leaving the building to check this out when the dream fades and I open my eyes. I do a RC and I am really awake and it is 4:15am. I jot down some note in my DJ and go back to sleep.
