Hello! I'm Foxy and i'm 17. I discovered lucid dreaming for the very first time on the 27th of July, 2012. (Yes, I recorded the date, I was so fascinated by this concept. ) I spent the entire day researching it on the internet on that day including what it is, how to achieve it, etc. I was just so amazed by it and the next morning I got my very first lucid dream! I got my first lucid dream within a day of discovering it and I was just so excited but the dream was EXTREMELY vague and only lasted 2 seconds. I simply just realised I was dreaming and then it had ended. I also had an alright dream recall, remembering 2-3 very vague, blurry dreams per night.
I was really motivated in lucid dreaming, kept a dream journal and did reality checks. This continued for a couple of weeks. I would remember around 2-3 dreams per night and I would have a lucid dream which lasted around 30 seconds roughly every second night.
I then sort of gave on lucid dreaming till now because it wasn't my first priority back then. But i'm not as busy now and I really want to start again. So I've been recording my dreams for every night the past week and I have been doing reality checks and recently began the ADA method and I will report on any progress here!
One question I had was, even if you are 100% lucid and you can control everything, can your dream still turn out unexpected like a normal dream? Like, can a man with a gun pop out of nowhere unexpectedly and shoot you or will you have full control of incidents like this?
