Exclamation The more i think in Stabilizing, the more it becomes black

      That`s my biggest problem.
I enter the dream. Get lucid,
at this moment i normally do 2 things:

      1. Rub my hands
      or
      2.Just go on

When i do the Number 1, my dream tends to get darker, and darker, each second.
(with any dream stabilization technique i tried so far)

When i do the Number 2, my dream lasts a little more, but it dont get 100% real, and lucid as i desire.

Whats am i doing wrong? /:

      ___________
      SECOND QUESTION:
Now i have another issue for you guys, and i hope you can help me in this one too:
My dreams were never 100% real.
Do yours LDs really looks like 100% real, with the only difference is that what you do in the dream, wont change anything in your life?

I mean, is it EXACTLY like the reality?
Like right now, when you are typing, the clarity and stability of the real world, are exactly like in your Dream World?

You open the door, and throw away the keys. Someone is my head, but its not me.

Does your dream get darker and darker until you wake up or just dark enough that you can't see but you can still keep dreaming?

For your second question, yes. They are often more vivid than waking life if you have the time to notice it. Have you tried just relaxing in your dream? Meaning, sitting down and observing all of your surroundings and all of what you hear and feel. I often use that to stabilize and it also increases the vividness.

Queen Zukin, this can be a really interesting idea for me.
Actually i get into a dream, and start making things.

      Next time i will relax!
And my dream gets darker until i wake up, i try to do everything not to wake up, but i fail!

Everything requires your attention to exist!!!! This is the first thing you need to know about dreaming!

WHen rubbing your hands, you're focused on your hands, not on your surroundings. Things get darker because your attention is not sustaining them.

When you go on, you have to focus on your surroundings, so they stay intact. Intense movement on your part is the best, because in order to have movement, you have to be moving relative to something else. This strikes a good balance between you and your surroundings.

Rather than rubbing your hands, try splashing them in cold water. It provides a quicker physical stimulus.

This is what works best in my experience, too. This morning I had a lucid dream where I was on a beach, so the first thing I did was bend down and touch some sand, put my hand in the water and listen to the waves. I think taking in your surroundings with different senses helps to stabilize dreams best.

I haven't had a LD in a while, but when I was focusing on this a year ago I noticed something very strange:

Many times when I realized I was having a LD I would say outloud "I must be dreaming" (after doing a reality check). I would then lose the dream in seconds to darkness.
What I realized was that if I didn't say it outloud, but just "noticed I was dreaming" inside my head, I could go on indefinitely without having a problem.

It seems like the subconscious has ears and if you don't tell it your intentions it thinks you're acting how you should be in the dream (completely unaware).

      Bite into a tree.

      Seriously.

It's such a strong and common archetype that you'll likely be engaging 4 senses at once there. Maybe 5 if you hear the snapping.

      That is a great idea!

So, anyway, this exact thing happened to me in my last LD. I panicked. I tried to close my eyes and open them, but I physically woke up. I even touched a wall to stabilize the dream. It was stable, but very dark, pitch black actually.

Next time, I am just going to sit on the ground, and calmly wait for my vision to come back.

      Had an LD this night.
waked did the RC, and i was lucid.. It was dark in my room, and i heard some noises, and freaked out cuz tought it would become a nightmare.

Screamed like a pig, and everything went white
waked up, and it was a false awakening.

Went to the window, and moved some clouds, and make the day clearer, and sunny.
turned back, looked at my hands, and when i was about to stabilize it with the tips you guys gave me, it ended!

      DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!
