imaginary weapons

i had a bad LD last night.(only somewhat aware.) when this giant ogre-thing chased me. i hid somewhere, tried to use a finger-gun on him but it didn't work, then i raised my arm over my head and started swinging it in a circle like david did to goliath with a sling. when i 'released' my air-sling the monster all of a sudden stood up straight, like he'd been hit with something then fell over dead. i know he died because when i walked over to him to check he'd dissapeared like enemies in videogames do. I want to know has anyone done something like this? using an imaginary weapon? also does anyone know how to use a finger-gun?

I think you need to start playing video games newer than 1998. Haha jk. I rarely can successfully use a weapon in a dream. Usually if it's a gun it just won't shoot at all, and if it's a sword or something it will be way to heavy to swing. Kind of sucks .

Imaginary weapons need two things to happen. 1. For you to believe whatever you're holding invisibly, etc. is a weapon. 2. For the DC to have some form of reaction, eg. they're hurt. For a finger-gun, when you pull the trigger, expect a shot to ring out (even if it's not visible), and expect the DC to get hit by an imaginary bullet. Expect them to recoil and fall dead, or whatever else you want the reaction to be. You have to be confident in what will happen.

I've used an "imaginary" katana before. I failed at pulling one out of thin air, so I just pretended I had one. By making chinging and klinging noises, every time me and my opponent's blades would have crossed, I was able to use it as if it were a real weapon instead of, well, nothing. I tried a invisible M4A1 with red dot sight. Atleast, that was what it felt like. I just saw a muzzle flash each time i shot and i saw a red dot floating in the air which i aimed with. Worked smooth Im gonna try out a finger gun... //Zelzahim

I've never been good with actual weapons. I sugest magic. Like have earth spikes shoot from the ground, or shoot fire. Its a dream, don't use a damn gun like you could in waking life. Fly in the air and powerbomb his ass.

In one LD I had I tried to summon and gun, but only managed to do the 'finger-gun' thing. It was totally like being a little child chasing friends around saying pow-pow your dead lol. And it totally worked to kill the DCs I was aiming at. I woke up laughing from that dream LOL Most the time now I just use what I called (in a dream once) 'Hand Magick' while working on the summoning thing.

When I'm in trouble an arsenal of weapons is the last thing I think of. If my trusty palm flame thrower doesn't do the trick I start messing with the environment and try to move the earth to bury whatever it is or something.

I have had several lucid dreams in which I use "the force" on people and do kind of a force push with vast amounts of energy. Other times I have more of a telekinetic ability and simply move people and objects around. In some instances I have been able to use incendiary abilities to torch trees and vehicles...It's weird because I don't try to do these things, but I guess my first thoughts when I become lucid are, "Oh crap! Start using your magic skills!!"

I once made a scimitar that cut through and absorbed the souls of my enemies and grew stronger. I put my hands together like left hand on top of right and mover my left hand right and it appeared as I did that.
