      Unhappy Sild?

      I am not sure if SILD already stands for something, but in this case it stands for Sick-Induced-Lucid-Dreaming. When I am sick, I can easily get LDs. Why?

      My best guess is that you usually feel the need for sleep more strongly when you're sick, so maybe you get into REM faster? Just a thought.

      Also, here's an excerpt from one of my DJ entries from the last time I was sick:

      I stayed up for 10-15 minutes, taking notes on the dreams I recalled so far. Then I listened to the second half of my binaural beats file and continued doing affirmations, this time including remembering to stabilize my dream as one of them. I then spent about 45 minutes being kept awake by my coughing and sneezing, but eventually, I managed to get back to sleep. I think I even experienced sleep paralysis for the first time ever; I remember a moment when it felt like my body was vibrating or shaking really fast.

      When I find myself in House #1, I immediately know I'm dreaming. [Since I was lucid from the very beginning and can remember a little bit of the sleep paralysis, I think I may have just performed a successful WILD, even though I didn't originally intend to.]
      Short-term lucid goals: [X] Move an object with my mind [ ] Create a portal and use it to get to a dream scene of my choice [ ] Meet one of my book characters

      Long-term lucid goals: [ ] Visit the Dream World Academy [ ] Make a building appear at will [ ] Change my appearance to disguise myself as someone else [ ] Find the end of a rainbow

      Hey, you stole the name from me! >.< (just kidding, I know you didn't steal it, but I did have the name first; never got around to posting a tutorial but it's floating around DV in PMs)

      Anyway, I think it's because you're sleeping a lot and you're dreaming a lot, so you have a better chance of it. I don't really know why, but it just seems to be that way.

      that's kind of interesting... i haven't noticed any change, but i do know that i usually sleep more when i'm sick, so there is a higher chance for a DILD. HOORAY FOR UNHEALTHYNESS!!! lol.

      being sick causing more LD's sounds cool. I actually dream less when I'm sick, so maybe it depends by the person?
      when i have a lucid dream the first thing I will do isorder a pizza.
