So, I got lucid, went into a room and prepared for my standard lucid experience. There was one DC in the room, nodding off. The character was my father, by the way. I thought "Go away", trying to command him mentally like I usually do with DCs without problem.
He asked out loud "Why?"
This was shocking by itself. Nothing like this has ever happened before to me. It took me a few seconds to process what just took place but I managed and thought "Because I told you to."
He said "Well that's not good enough" and started telling me about how tired he is and how I should f off basically.
This has not happened since.
It is somewhat understandable that I'd think that I can't command my father, but I knew full well that he was a DC and yet, well, couldn't do a thing. But it gets weirder. Next night another LD hit me.
I was approached by a man in a lab coat with several bodyguards behind him. As this was some action packed dream (someone had already tried to kill me by then) I prepared to ignore them until they disappear, but then the scientist spoke to me.
He said "We can help you stay.. here." (emphasis on here) and pointed to the ground, basically telling me he could help me stay in the dream.
He took me to their lab by car, and, long story short it was a horrible facility with dead people (young and old) everywhere and no way to stay in the dream.
This was obviously just a manifestation of the improbability/impossibility of my goal of staying in a dream for as long as possible, but it was odd nonetheless.
And the point to all this is: How do I make sure DCs don't get rebellious again, and are there any threads on staying in LDs for longer periods of time I should know about?
