Gifts from dream characters?

Hello everyone. Last night I had a lucid where I was once again trying to teleport. I didn´t succeed, but after I tried, a DC told me he was a blacksmith and could upgrade my weapon to make portals. After he finished, I could teleport via portals easily. So my question is, has anyone had a DC give them a gift (etc.) that gave you more dream control?

No I have never had this happen. But it's not a bad way to improve your dream control if you have problems.

Now which is better, doors or portals? :p I think doors are better at first, because you don´t need to create them, which makes them easier to use, but once you learn to make portals you don´t have to look for doors. Isn't a door a portal to another room? I quess? Never happened to me, I wish it did, though I want to try get a DC to give me a portal gun It seems I´m not the only one who´s been playing Portal 2. I figured out how to teleport easy without waking up in the process last night. I was in an odd version of my house and decided that instead of roaming around like i did my past 15 or so lucids that i would adventure. Something just said in my head "Close your eyes rub your hands and spin." So thats what I did and now teleportation is easy and I can go on what ever adventure I want now. As for gifts I am gonna ask that machine like dragon, I dont really know what it is for a reward for they key I am going to give him tonight.

I've only had a dc give me a gift once, but it didn't affect my control. Quite a while ago I had this lucid dream where I ended up at a banquet. This dc that was supposed to be god was the host. He gave everyone at the banquet a gift. I received a book with the title "WILD Lucid Dreaming" with some oddly named authors. I could only recall one of the names when I woke up, it was "Wan Thanatos". I thought that the authors names were pretty funny, overall it was a cool dream.

Well, I never actually read the book, but perhaps that's a good thing. lol I did know what thanatos meant, but i had no idea that wan was an actual word. I thought it was a bad misspelling of juan. Depending on which definition we use the name comes out to be either sickly death, or ineffective death. I think i prefer the latter.

By believing, a ninja rainbow unicorn learnt to break dance. (windmilling ninja rainbow unicorn ftw) Something worth mentioning, gifts dont' necessarily mean anything. It's just your dream characters feeling cheesy. Repeated gifts can mean something else, tho.
