      Dream characters not complying

      So. I had a somewhat LD last night.... like i wasn't lucid... but i knew i was in a dream. So maybe I was on auto pilot. Anyway, i tried to have sex with this one girl but she kept saying no. I tried to "control" her by using dream control, but she would not listen. I would prefer not having to rape someone in my dream >_> WHAT DO I DO???

      You did not establish enough control. If you think that you are not actually lucid or fully in control you need to stabilize. Focus on incorporating your senses. Once you have gained stability you can then try to obtain dream control. Dream control relies solely on your confidence. You know that it is a dream so you know that you can do whatever you want to.

      It all comes down to confidence.
      Steps:
      1. Realize you are dreaming
      2. Establish control
      3. Realize it is YOUR dream
      4. Recognize YOU alone are in control
      5. Build the confidence that you can do anything
      6. Assert the confidence into physical actions in your dream

      Sex is always one of those things that is a pleasant surprise in a dream. It sounds odd to discuss controlling a sex situation.

      But good luck! Perhaps if you not only build confidence but try to use tactics/devices that real life women would respond to.

      Try alcohol...it's been helping people get laid for centuries.

      Well lucid means aware, so it probably was an LD. ;o
      And ahh, sometimes its just like that. Run around and find a better DC XD

      If the DC in question is a representation of someone you know, there could be some unconscious resistance to making the person in question do your bidding. The easiest solution in this case would probably be to find a different DC whom you don't know in real life. If that isn't the case, why not just move on and find one who does comply? Going with the flow and steering is apparently more effective for people without extensive training than just trying to impose your will.

      I agree with everything so far, here is my little contribution. Until your mind has been shocked 100+ times by crazy dream stuff, it will rebel against things that seem unrealistic. Humor your brain for the first couple years, by creating believable reasons things are happening. In real life you can not just grab a girl and she starts doing your wildest fanasy with you. Too hard to believe. Try making up a good reason for it happening to put your brain at ease. Something like this, you see the pretty girl, you walk up to her and say out loud "Honey, I've missed you so much, when you are gone so long I get so horny! Lets go home and have sex before we do anything else." Oh and the nearest object happens to be the door to your bedroom at home. Or anything like that.
      Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

      I agree with sivason. You almost have to become desensitized to the dream material. Just as we are in the real waking world although the dream world is much more vast and, in fact, endless. Through enough exposure to lucid dreams you will find dream control will become easier to achieve.

      Don't worry if you think less of yourself for having a dream like that. It wasn't YOU right now who was trying that on, it was your hormones and shit that were doing the talking. If you were you in that dream then you would have been 100% lucid.

      @TheSmooze: Yeah it was someone in real life. And how you described it seemed how it was in real life.

      @Sivisaon and Chewnie91: That seems very reasonable. I guess i have to get used to everything first lol.

      @MrZhume: hahahahhaha

      @Avalanche: Yeah i knowwww

      Thanks everyone for the replies!
