      Angry Incredibly Frustrating!!!

This week I have had two dreams where I became semi lucid, I recognized I was dreaming and even shouted it out. It was so hard for me to control them. I couldn't keep lucidity at all. Everything I was trying to do/control wasn't working. I was trying to change the setting outside to be bright and sunny and it didn't work. Any tips on how to control my dreams? I'm getting really pissed, thinking on giving up on trying to lucid dream.

I think it's not so easy as it sounds for everyone sky...
I had 3 LDs and didn't risk of doing much bigger things in the start.

Don't give up in it... Try doing something easier at first like flying, walking around the scenario and just watching what happens...
I learned that any bad feelings as anger or fear can make me lose my lucidity if I let them take control. If you try something and it don't work, try doing anything else to don't become frustrated.

All we need in dream control is believing, for what I learned. And sometimes it's just hard to really believe that we can change the weather at first(at least for me).

A negative attitude is not the way to go I have only had 1 LD and wasn't able to control anything, but I am not giving up, NO way. Take in Rubens' words, that's probably your best bet! If not then study dream control a bit more Good luck!

thank you, i'll try. The lucid dream I really want to have is so complex, I don't even know if i'll be able to pull it off. I guess i'll start small. I was able to have a sort of hot dream last night though, after I became lucid and gave up on trying to change the weather.

All of us want complex dreams You can be sure of that...

For example I want to use my LDs to pratice my hability with music and compose songs during my dreams

But if we can't hug the wide world xD

How was your dream last night ?
What kind of techniques are you trying ?

I'm still a beginner so I tried the WBTB technique and it actually worked !

I had multiple dreams last night, about 3 or 4. For the most part they were good I guess, more um complex then usual. I find a lot of the time i'm just wondering around and I don't even know why.. When I became lucid at the beginning of my dreams last it was REALLY good lol, but yeah, after that I kind of lost my lucidity. I don't know why either

I'm new to this site, but I've been having LD's since I was a child. If you just started to have lucid dreams, I'd suggest you get used to that before starting to control them. Controlling a dream takes alot of concentration in the beginning. Just be like; "okay, I know I'm dreaming but I'll go along for the ride." And learn to recognize that feeling, stabilize it and THEN try to change little things.

Another thing is to try and force yourself to wake up. This also requires you to be aware that you are dreaming, and I found it to be the easiest way to take control. This is how I started out when I was little, because I had nightmares all the time. I started to recognize it was a dream, but it was too hard to change the dream, so I forced myself to "snap out of it".

      Good luck!

I've had only 3 Lucid Dreams so far, but I haven't tried anything too crazy. I just went with the flow to get myself used to the whole thing first. Let me know how your dream went though!

I absolutely love how friendly and supportive everyone on here seems I did have a lucid dream last night with the WBTB technique but again the lucidity didn't last very long. It lasted a tiny bit longer then the previous night though. Yay progress! I've heard meditation is a good primer for lucid dreams, what do you guys think?

Triforce, It wasn't that exciting. I'm having trouble holding on to the lucidity

Did you do the ol' rubbing your hands together trick and stuff like that?

I did at the beginning, but I guess I didn't rub them together long enough to stabilize the dream and I also forgot to keep reminding myself that I was dreaming

Yeah things like that are very important for maintaining a long dream. But they can be easy to forget ^^

Yeah I'm like you, have a lucid and stabilize a bit and then go back to nonlucid like I was never lucid in the first place and I'm on my 5th lucid
