I think it's not so easy as it sounds for everyone sky... |

This week I have had two dreams where I became semi lucid, I recognized I was dreaming and even shouted it out. It was so hard for me to control them. I couldn't keep lucidity at all. Everything I was trying to do/control wasn't working. I was trying to change the setting outside to be bright and sunny and it didn't work. Any tips on how to control my dreams? I'm getting really pissed, thinking on giving up on trying to lucid dream. |

A negative attitude is not the way to go I have only had 1 LD and wasn't able to control anything, but I am not giving up, NO way. Take in Rubens' words, that's probably your best bet! If not then study dream control a bit more Good luck! |

thank you, i'll try. The lucid dream I really want to have is so complex, I don't even know if i'll be able to pull it off. I guess i'll start small. I was able to have a sort of hot dream last night though, after I became lucid and gave up on trying to change the weather. |

All of us want complex dreams You can be sure of that... |
I'm still a beginner so I tried the WBTB technique and it actually worked ! |
I'm new to this site, but I've been having LD's since I was a child. If you just started to have lucid dreams, I'd suggest you get used to that before starting to control them. Controlling a dream takes alot of concentration in the beginning. Just be like; "okay, I know I'm dreaming but I'll go along for the ride." And learn to recognize that feeling, stabilize it and THEN try to change little things. |

i know exactly what you mean sky, i have had about 10 LD's now, and i have a very complex plan, but i believe i can do it 100%! i would say that ruben is right the main key to dream controll it belief, i changed the weather in one of my LD's, i was flying and it was night and i couldent see much, so i just closed my eyes imagened it being day, them bang, crystal clear day , all you need to do is say to yourself, this is MY dream, i have already created EVERTHING here, and i can change whatever i want! good luck, an sweet dreams |

Thank you guys, you've all really given me some awesome advice I'll be trying all your tips out tonight! |
I've had only 3 Lucid Dreams so far, but I haven't tried anything too crazy. I just went with the flow to get myself used to the whole thing first. Let me know how your dream went though! |
did you have any luck sky? |
I absolutely love how friendly and supportive everyone on here seems I did have a lucid dream last night with the WBTB technique but again the lucidity didn't last very long. It lasted a tiny bit longer then the previous night though. Yay progress! I've heard meditation is a good primer for lucid dreams, what do you guys think? |
Triforce, It wasn't that exciting. I'm having trouble holding on to the lucidity |
I did at the beginning, but I guess I didn't rub them together long enough to stabilize the dream and I also forgot to keep reminding myself that I was dreaming |
Yeah things like that are very important for maintaining a long dream. But they can be easy to forget ^^ |
At least now i'll know for next time |
Yeah I'm like you, have a lucid and stabilize a bit and then go back to nonlucid like I was never lucid in the first place and I'm on my 5th lucid |
Spoiler for Secret to LDing:
sucks doesn't it? *sigh* I guess we'll have to keep practicing |
