Off course, every interaction within you lucid dream makes you more connected to yourself. Truly meeting your "innerself" can take a while. Not sating you have to practise martial arts but you shouldn't limit yourself on your journey. Sometimes you might even get closer or learn things about yourself because the subconcious brain is pretty much unpredictable. Finding your subconsious can be fun, alot of minor religions encourage you to have fun in lucid dreaming alongside using it for enlightment.

I barely realize my dream as a LD. Still need a practice. But when I grasp a bit of reality in my dream
      ex) seeing a giraffe...
I try to stay calm as possible (taking a deep breath) from waking up. ^_^

Not only Martial arts, to be good in fighting in dreams you have to know some magic mixed with warrior fighting, and also trickery aka slight of hand without the cards This is what i do.

      Moar dick measuring plox.

      As for the OP:

No training is necessary for any skill once you understand the intricacies of dream control.

Maybe people should be putting their focus on training through waking life study instead of fumbling around in the dark.

That sneaky looking cat Littlezoe has for an icon could be very scary. I could see Zoe turning into a cat so big it could bat me around like a mouse! I wouldn't want to fight either of you! But, if you make it to my dreams, we can hold hands or something

There are no lucid dreaming skills, lunatide; only the "skills" you develop during waking life that allow you to realize, through high levels of self-awareness and memory, that this place you are in is a dream and you can do anything in it that you wish to do -- skills be damned.

To assume that you need specific skills in a dream is to assume limits to your imagination and ability to control your dream.

For instance: if you wish to terraform, Dutchraptor, just do it! There is no skill to flattening a dream mountain with no more than a glance ... as long as you let your imagination -- and not your inhibitions -- be in charge.
