      Question Dream Control

Hey guys. I had my second lucid dream last night. It was fantastic. Very vivid and i actualy was able to do everyting i wont. But theres one thing. I couldn't control the dream caractheres. I tried to make them disappear but i couldn't and tried to change the scenery and not get it too. Nevertheless i was able to fly. One failed attempt at first but soon i started trusting in my self i was flying in no time.
But it seemed that was controlling my body like an airplane and my mind was the pilot. It was fantastic.
Another thing. So I felt that the dream was almost over and I began to see the world disappering and some walls of water that were addressed to me and were destroying everything in its path. But at a certain point they stop and do a sort of a rectangle where I am. I'm in a park and sit on a bench. My dogs are there beside me and suddenly appearing on a man already with some age to talk to me. I started to explain to him that I wanted to go to a friend of mine (that was where i was flying) and he tells me that I have to be patient and I'll end up getting there. After that I felt I had to wake up and with my will i woke up.

I have some questions for you. I already heard of dream layers of lucidity but there are some techniques to be better in controling the dream or that comes with experience?
Also for you guys flying in a dream is also how i feel? In relation to the walls of water. Does that Ever happened to you? the Man of the end of my dream. Does it mean anything? is he my dream guide?

Everything is easy to control as long as you have the belief you can control it. If you believe there are "advanced" control techniques then naturally they will be harder for you because you are setting a mind-block for your self.

When I fly it feels like I would imagine flying would feel like. It's kind've like skydiving but your kinetic energry is going foreword.

Aa MarineRecon saide all you need to have is intent and focus. When you first turn lucid really take a few seconds to think about how the entire dream is your creation and that nothing follows any laws.
I can do almost anything in a dream because I know it is my own creation.

Haha, flying for me is a lot different then that. I tried skydiving IRL and in a dream, and when I stopped and started flying it felt more like I was being hung over everything on a string and someone was just moving me where I wanted and showed me the city. When I take off from the ground though it is like really fast swimming.

Dream control does take belief and exp. Different amounts of experience for each though. Next LD take some time and bend the crap out of reality. There are tons of ways to do it! And if you are an adventurer like me, you will need all of them tonight against the DCs later on your adventure!

If you struggle with a specific one (like flying) then you can look up a tutorial on how to. I would just recommend visualizing doing that throughout the day until you get an LD with that in it. There are not LDs that you don't have your power in, but there are some you are lacking the confidence. So keep the confidence high! You can do anything!

Congratz on the nice lucid! You mean dream control? You get better at it with practice and in time. Make sure you do the different types of dream control properly, for example if you want to change the world around you or characters you might want to look away or walk around a corner. Use magic on the characters so they behave differently etc. That's called "passive control".

Whenever I fly in a dream it's as real as I imagine it would be based on roller coaster rides and jumping from cliffs into water. The water thing has never happened to me. Also as for your Dream Guide, I can't answer that, only you can. Try to summon him next time and ask him questions about it. I wouldn't believe in things DC's say until you have some real "evidence" he really is your DG, a simple "yeah I'm your DG" in my opinion is not even close to proving that he really is.
