It's Always Cold + How Do I Change Environment

After attaining lucidity last night, I took the advice from many tutorials I had read; looked at the details on my hands and started to think about It was all an illusion. I then looked up hoping to be in a summer fields but no look, I can never seem to change my location. I then completely forgot about taking my time and flew off as fast as I could, in hope the dream wouldn't end and rushed trying to find a familiar place in my town. I can never go fast when flying theres ALWAYS a limit + it seems to be alsways cold and I can never get about the clouds due to the temp.... I soon woke up. Could I get some advice on this problem along with changing the environment. You may also have noticed I had set any goals, as I have just noticed then. I'm not sure what target I should set myself at this point, I've in a way only started LDing from a long brake..

Random Question: I have a terrible dream recollection, I Haven't yet started a dream journal, what should write them on my phone paper and as soon as I get up?

      Thanks

Trying using the door technique. "When i walk through this door, i will be in a warm summerfield". Believing is seeing when it comes to lucid dreams, so really KNOW it will be that way. Its much easier to materialise things outside of your field of view, rather than right before your eyes.

About dream recall, check some tutorials! If you wake up in the middle of the night and want to go back to sleep, just write some simple tags and go back to sleep. This way you will remember them easier. When you write, stay in bed. Let the dream come to you, and write ALL you remember. Hope this helps,

I find it interesting that you feel temperature in your dreams.

But to answer your question, there are two paths you can take, one is physiological and the other psychological.

Firstly, is your sleeping environment cold? I'm serious, your environment can and will influence your dreams!

Secondly, get lucid about lucidity. Do you think that feeling cold has anything to do with the sun or clouds in your dream sky? When you are flying do you believe you are flying through physical space? These questions are worth asking because you will not be fully lucid until you realise the full implications of being in a dream: that physical laws need not apply, that people and objects do not exist and will disappear when the dream ends, that your very dream body is illusory and your real body is safe and sound asleep in your bed. Next time you are lucid realise what it is to be really lucid and know that the only impediments are psychological. It's literally all in your head. The dream is taking place in your brain, any barriers you encounter are cause by a lack of full awareness of your state.

Always, no sometimes think it's me,
But you know I know when it's a dream
      I think I know I mean a yes
      But it's all wrong
That is I think I disagree

Adding on to what Ctharlhie said, for feeling rushed.

The best way to stop this from happening is to remember that you are in your own dream, and that you have control. You can elongate the dream, or chain them using the DEILD technique. I find that the less rushed I feel, the longer the dream will last, because I am not expecting it to end any time soon.

For a Dream Journal, I would recommend not using a phone, but using a pen and paper. Have you ever sat up really late at night on your computer? You're able to do this because the computer screen tricks your brain into thinking it's still daytime which stops the release of the hormone which makes you want to go to bed, which makes you less tired. The phone screen in the middle of the night may do the same thing to you, so I recommend paper and a pen. Having a Dream Journal will definitely help out your recall and you will see it rise quite quickly once you start placing importance on your dreams when you wake up.

      Good luck!

So that's why I used to stay up until 2 AM every single night playing Runescape in 2nd grade...
Alright, now how to change the environment. I've done this once before because they have never been a problem, but here's how I did it. I walked outside and it was raining, so I closed my eyes. This is kind of like the door technique btw. I closed my eyes and said "Whenever I open them, it will be sunny and it will no longer be raining." I opened my eyes and the sun was beating down on me and the rain was no longer there.

The only problem with this is that a lot of beginners go through the whole, "When I close my eyes, I wake up," so be wary of this technique. Then again, everyone is different, and there's every chance that it will work with you if you try it out, of course! It's a good way of controlling the dream because it creates the expectation in your mind and the dream follows our expectations.

I've never heard that people wake up when they close their eyes...Wow! I feel dumb for suggesting that now. Now that I think about it, before I knew about LD's, I used to realize I was dreaming a lot but I didn't know I could control it, so I'd just follow what the dream had in mind, and if I didn't like it I'd close my eyes. But it'd only wake me up if I wanted it to. I think it's worth a try to close their eyes, because even if it does wake you up, it's not like that's the last LD you'll ever have.

You only wake up when you close your eyes if you think you will.
