Need help getting back into it

I got into ld'ing a couple years ago and got pretty good at controlling my dreams. I stopped going lucid for reason I can't remember, but now I'm trying to get back into it. I've been doing the nose pinch reality check for the past week and last night I had my first one again. I got up and had the spins like I was drunk. I struggled to the bathroom and tried to turn on my light and it didn't work. I went to try other switches to see if they would turn on the light when I started spinning like crazy. I can't remember how to control yourself so you stop spinning. I tried to just calm down and stand in place and that didn't work, I got excited and woke up. Any tips on getting the spins to not happen again? I tried searching but vbulletin is useless when it comes to that.

Oh my goodness, you had the same thing I did in one of my LD's. It felt like I was drunk, and everything was colorless and weird and stuff. I couldn't stop myself from staggering around and stuff, it was so weird, but it has never once happened again. It's most likely just a weird occurrence. Chances are you won't get it again for a while, like me.

I agree, all sorts of mysterious things can happen in our lucid dreams.
It's also likely your control and ability to control these events will improve as you delve back into Lucid Dreaming, but sometimes we just have to accept these things happen. They can often be cool experiences when you look back at them
