      Multiple Senses while dreaming?

Hey, not sure if a lot of other people are familiar but I'm sure some of the experienced lucid dreamers will know what I am talking about. I've had certain LD's where I can hear the dream world and hear things that are happening in the waking world. I can feel the warmth in my bed and feel rocks scraping my skin. It's a tiny bit annoying at times but I think it's kinda cool.

Does anyone have weird experiences of this happening to them?

My best lucid last year involved me flying over a little town at roof top level , and while I was flying, I became aware of my husband shifting in bed next to me. I did not wake up yet, but I knew I would wake up soon, so I continued to enjoy my flight for a short while more. I thought that this awareness of waking world while dreaming added to the experience and made it even more fun.
You may say I'm a dreamer.

To me, it's mostly auditory sensations. Especially when I'm in the middle of a LD and I hear someone closing a nearby door or talking.

your ears are supposedly the last to fall asleep and the first to wake up, they also don't seem to ever go to sleep since we all use auditory alarm clocks. Shaking people (tactile) also works.

In the morning time I have this type of thing happen more. It seems like if I am 8 hours + on my sleeping I need to stabilize more and am more aware of the waking world. Things like feeling my wife's arm around me and my wife being in the room and stopping me from going anywhere (annoying not being able to move in a dream because of waking things) or my wife's breath in my ear constantly destabilizing me.

I now hive this image of the Boss family argument "honey, you constantly destabilize me by breathing in my ear!" Lol

Us bosses are so boss that the only thing we have to worry about is our dreams.

Haha. Though seriously Laura is getting about 1 LD a month and hopefully I can teach Lisanna. then the Boss family will be a family of straight up awesome.

I have the opposite issue with regular dreams. This only happens when I highly stressed.

I will be dreaming, then I open my eyes and I can see parts of my dream layered over the real world. My mind then adjusts so the dream and the real world interact. Sometimes I am sleep walking when this happens. Typically this only lasts from 5 to 30 seconds before the dream fades away and I am fully awake.

Actual Example 1: I’m dreaming about rats. I open my eyes in real life and one of the rats is sitting on top of my blankets on my bed; it quickly scurries under the blanket but I can still see it moving under the blanket; I jump out of bed and fling the blanket up so I can kill the rat. The rat fades away.

Actual Example 2: In my dream I am driving on a snowy night, when my car begins to slide toward a tree. I sit up and open my eyes in real life. I can still see the tree and I still appear to be sliding towards it, but I can see my bedroom all around me as well. I am jerking my right leg up and down trying to apply the dream break. Then the tree fades away.

My poor wife. I can’t tell you how many times I have scared her nearly to death doing this.

I just Googled this condition it is called: Hypnopompic hallucinations.

      Total LDs (some very brief) = 2004: 4 * 2005: 18 * 2006: 16 * 2007: 2 * 2008: 0 * 2009: 0 * 2010: 1 * 2011: 12 * 2012: 3 * 2013: 1 * 2014: 6 * 2015: 1 * 2016: 0 * 2017: 18 * 2018: 3 * 2019: 0 (so far)

Yup. Happens when I do meditations too... I've heard that meditations can be considered a type of lucid dream. Anyway, I pretty much feel like I exist within two universes when this happens. Each universe has its own senses that it gives your body that you put in it... and actually, I've imagined a lucid dream where I imagined myself going through to another universe through a portal in my mindscape. So I was inside a universe within a universe within another universe. XD Pretty trippy, but it can get even more complex I bet... possibilities are practically endless since lucid dreaming applies the laws of physics you set to it.
