3. Make a dream idol! Find something small, like a stone, or ring, in the waking world. Put your "energy" into it throughout the week, especially when you feel emotions that you connect with fire (anger, restlessness, hunger, nerves) while touching it (like rubbing a worry-stone) visualize yourself wielding fire, down to the physical sensation and FIRST PERSON viewpoint.
When in a lucid dream pull the idol out of your pocket or off your hand and see if you can draw some of that energy out now! This is a great technique because it incubates the idea of fire throwing, it is a good measure of your awareness (how often do you remember the idol?), and reinforces MILD practices.
NOTE: You don't need to be spiritual or have a new age belief for this technique (I don't), the psychology of it is all that is important. By giving that constant attention to it you are making it one of your own personal archetypes, your mythos, your trigger, your own pre-manufactured Pavlovian response. You are making this thing a visceral mental shortcut. The idea is to hardwire your brain to associate the stone with the sensations you need in-dream. Best thing about this method? Completely customizable and recyclable.
4. Pull fire from an already existing source, out of a stove, or from a campfire. I think nearly everything in dreams is easier to manipulate rather than summon.
5. Use friction, or other movement. The nature of fire is constant change, rub your hands together to spark a flame, dance and have fire rise from around you, make a really fast circle in the air with your finger tip and try to make a fireball light within it.
